Shane Douglas was in the management program at Target not a checkout boy, but even if he was there's no reason to look down on a man for working an honest job and providing for his family. Flair did this interview for two reasons... 1) Money. Also if it wasn't for HHH being a Flair mark he would have been cast aside by Vince and probably in a nursing home by now cause he is broke. He didn't work for WWE his whole life. Vince never gave a crap about Flair cause he was a NWA/WCW guy and not his creation. Last I checked Douglas was a Store Director (manager) for Target. Those guys make well over 100k a year with bonuses figured in (I used to work in retail management, so I know the chain store pay scales). Maybe not the million dollar pay rate some top stars in wrestling make, but not a bad payout. At least Dean was smart enough to get out of wrestling as he got older to pursue something else, vs, the typical wrestlers (like Flair) who don't know how to do anything else with their lives, so they keep on going until they are a joke to watch in the ring, and end up scraping by in the indie circuit.
Watched an interview with Shane a few months ago. He said that he is also drawing retirement from his teaching career. So add about 30k a year retirement plus health benefits to his $100k a year Target salary. He’s actually doing pretty well compared to most wrestlers.
Did Flair stiff Feinstein for money too, or was that just the Highspots guy? Considering all of the people Flair has f____ed over, it's hard to keep them all straight.
What????? He works for WWE his whole life? Around 9.5 years, with another 2 dates all the way back in 1976 and whenever they need him now. @@gojakla12 wtf? Shane douglas hasn't talked trash about someone in years unless he is asked for his perspective about something that happened in the past. Outside of that, he has for the most part moved on from the wrestling world.
And your logic is weird. Douglas saved up his money and was able to do something else in life, yet he's a nobody in the wrestling business because Flair was able to live the millionaires lifestyle and Douglas couldn't?
@@Salesman How has Douglas saved any money when he had to take 9 to 5 job???? This logic is weird. You obviously take 9 to 5 job only when you need some money and not when you saved your money from your previous career.
Of course Douglas answers questions about Flair. However the way how he does it is clear hate. Why people like Sting don't care about Flair running naked in hotels and have no hate for him? Because they have obviously achieved the same level of success like Ric Flair has. Go figure only people like Douglas who "were happy" to move out from the wrestling world answer hate about Ric Flair. Shane probably doesn't have to work for anything like that but for medical benefits. Which is a shame. Ric has been bailed out numerous times in the past by his buddies and he can't hope to ever pay back.

I met Shane and Francine once. They were super cool--some of the nicest folks you'll meet. Go figure.
This guy said, “They thought I booked him bad, when I was the booker. But I was never the booker.” Kind of told on yourself, Ric.
Yeah, Flair was head booker twice, in 1990 and 1994.
If fact, Flair is also the main person/reason that caused Mick Foley to leave WCW
A million dollars I know for a fact Russo didn't give you no million dollars to wrestle him when WCW was dying. Wooooo
That's why they died bruh they were giving away and spending too much money that they weren't making back
Shane Douglas was in the management program at Target not a checkout boy, but even if he was there's no reason to look down on a man for working an honest job and providing for his family. Ric Flair is a mess, before you start criticising others maybe you should look at yourself. How many times has he been broke or pissed all his millions away? How many failed marriages? Flair has stayed in the business out of necessity and changes his tune based on who's paying his current wage. Snake.
Yea I didnt like what he said either about that. A real man does whatever he can to support his family.
That’s Flair and Douglas though. I agree with you as it’s putting ever working person down. Yet Douglas went after Flair for years about his age etc. so there is still nuclear heat between them. It’s not a pass, just a justification.
@Citizen Beeswax Ric Flair probably thinks it's still the 1980's.
Lets keep it real, Flair stayed in the business because he is broke.
Ric, what's wrong working at Target or whereever? If Douglas is happy working at Target or a regular job, why trash the guy?
Plus, has Flair heard of the backstage reputation of the Kliq? They would make Shane's life (or anyone's life) a living hell!
Don't get me wrong, Ric Flair is one of the greatest names and performers of our industry.. But, kids, this is a PRIME example of what an OFFICE ASSKISSER sounds like.
The thing is if Douglas is going to say the kliq treated him like shit we only have his word. The same for the kliq saying certain things didn't happen. Yet Shane seems to think because he was a big star in ecw he was a bigger star than he ever was.
Ric flair gets offended if someone in the business doesn't think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread or that the 4 horseman ain't the greatest faction of all time . The wrestling legends roundtables are a prime example of that . He interrupts everyone the entire time

Flair did this interview for two reasons...
1) Money. He never saved any (Or very little) of his earnings, never paid his taxes and treated his wives like dirt so he ended up having to pay for expensive divorce settlements.
2) He was so desperate to get back "in" with the WWE so he used this interview to "bury" TNA/Impact and "put over" WWE/Vince/Triple H in the hope they would watch it or at least hear about it.
He did end up going back though, so I guess it worked after all...
I seem to recall Shane Douglas beating him at Slamboree 2000 and I'm sure Ric was payed much less than a million
