I have the Green/Black version, great knife. I would like to see them bring out a version with the features you mentioned. I am really happy with all my Fenix products, PD35, PD25, HL60R.
Good to see you out from behind your desk...as to you question. I’m with you for like a day hike. Different situations dictate different setups. Season, duration and mobility seem to effect my setups the most. Many different factors...too much equipment. Lol
Yes, I do agree with your philosophy yes get rid of this wedge make it a full flat grind with a 90° angle on the spine would be awesome. I wish they made a mini version. 3 inch version that be cool.
If u have wide/large hands Remove and rotate the handles, it may seem odd but its the best thing i ever did . It actually adds a substantial amount of room? Its easy i sugest all owners at least try it
Really like this blade great steel great company very cool sheath full tang m. Not sure of the price but I’m thinking $60 -$90 which isn’t cheap but u want quality u can count on that’s really not to bad in my opinion.
I like mine for practical outdoor use but dont love it precisely,, though if the blade were of a better steel, 3/4 inchs longer blade and 3/8 inch longer handle then it would be just that.. A perfect blade for bush use, camping, outdoor tasks.. To me its just a bit light.. So i also have an Esee 6 which is great for the larger tasks, but it would be nice to have an in-between size blade as ive stated above,.. in fact im not aware of any 5.25 inch blades on the market
Great knife! I’ve been thinking about getting it for some time now. I don’t get it why do people see the lack of sharp surface to strike a rod. You can always use a designated striker.
I love the look and size of the knife , it would be a good companion knife . How about the plastic sheath , does it dull your blade at all ?? For $69 , a kydex sheath would have been a lot better .
The most ergonomic knife handle ever made. Just perfect.
I have the same knife, with the green scales. Love the knife and the sheath as you said is spot on.
its a nice balanced knife for sure

Ruike is a good company, I just made a video sharpening my ruike p801 SB
They do a good job for sure

Wow this is spooky I just bought this knife 2 hours before you posted this video great knife great price
it is yeah Im sure you'll enjoy it
Great, comprehensive review! Thanks! (BTW: Video description should read F118b not P118b.) Thanks for all your good work, God Bless!
shoot Ill have to change it when I get to the office later
Great looking knife.I agree, a better camping knife than survival. For survival knives, I would get a Miller brothers knife.
Which model might you suggest?

Thats about right I think $90 Canadian so yeah 60 US is probably close
Great review! I have the smaller EDC version with the skeletonized /G10 thin handle. I put on a very slim IWB clip and the knife is awesome.
Yeah I have that one as well both are very good
wrjames38 what’s the model number of the smaller EDC model? Sounds interesting.

Kevin- "Fantastic knife, but if I just could change a few things..."
Ruike F118- "Why can't you just love me for who I am? 😥"

Changes? Just buy a different knife.
Schrade is 1095 soft steel, i like it great machete, but ruike sandvick is a really nice steel. It is just a little weaker than d2
In the whole video, you didn’t speak to the width of the handle or even show the width of the handle.
Specific designer or Sanrenmu/SRM/Real Steel in house designer?
in house design
F118 actually...
You lost me with Schrade - i don't have good experience with them. But I have to say very good review 👍
Should have bought it today but I wanted to research it. Damn
