Gimme the body-on-frame Lark with its rubber-cushioned body mounts, 112-horsepower six, and available overdrive (not offered on Comet) to reduce engine speed. The Lark was a true compact in the context of its time, where the Comet wheelbase matches the last-generation Mercury Grand Marquis land barge.
The Lark Cruiser was launched to try to beat out Rambler Ambassador as far as compact luxury cars went for 1961. Lark Cruiser styling was down to earth 🌎 as compared to the clumsy reverse wind-gust lines on the Ambassador.
They claim that weird spring on upper control arm front suspension on the Comet was an advantage? Nobody designs suspensions like that today. The Studebaker front suspension was a conventional spring on lower control arm SLA design, a basic configuration that is still widely available today.
I would've thought to compare the Lark with a Falcon not a Comet. The Comet was a nicer Falcon which had options standard on it that the Falcon still had as an option. This is very biased. I have both a Lark and a Falcon and the Lark has its shortcomings but for the most part it is more thought out.

I’d STILL rather have the Studebaker Lark.

What kind of publishers employ at Ford Motor Company?
Bad quality of FOMOCO cars seems oblige them to use these badges.
4:21 That's a Falcon Deluxe interior, try again!
Aw,. You guessed.
Unfair comparison. It should have been a Lark Cruiser which was a longer car,
Visors. Ok
What an absurdly dishonest comparisson!!
