    Me gustaria Kat, si puedes para mi caso que ire a hacer un doctorado a US, que expliques un poco mas detallado como mirar esto de los profesores y elejir con quien si ir a tomar clases en general, en la UCLA u otra universidad.
    Lo que no puedo creer que no les enselen a usar los dispositivos electronicos ni a diseñar, aca las carreras duran 5 añis pero eso se sabe todo, desde programacion, matematicas, fisica, quimica hasta programacion, diseño de circuitos, laboratorios e instrumentos, medicion, etc. Espero que las universidades se den cuenta y lo arreglen porqye hagan investigacion o salgan a trabajar a la industria es muy importante saber de todo esto!! Sea el pais que sea! Muchas gracias por compartir tu experiencia, me hizo acordar que yo tambien comence como tu en otra universidad y me transferi tambien, pago mis estudios con becas (pero bueno aca es distinto, la educacion para ser buena debe ser publica, si es privada por lo general es mala).
    Y cualquier cosa que puedas pasar de informacion para futuros estudiantes inmigrantes en US te agradezco!!! 🤗

    This is sooo crazy! I wanted to go to UCLA since i was small and i got accepted to Berkeley and UCLA and i was so close to going to Berkeley but i ultimately followed my dream 😊

    Hi Kat, I am majoring in civil engineering and got admitted at UCLA, and also at San Jose state university (1hour drive) but waitlisted at UC Davis. I am in the same situation as you are like I live 6 hours away from my family and I wouldn’t have any support from them. Although The cost of attendance wouldn’t be a problem for me. What do you think about the civil engineering major at UCLA vs SJSU? Any opinions where I should go to? I would appreciate what you think about it!

    wow, UCLA, nice. I'm transferring to a CSU as EE. I finish in 4 semester remaining for B.S. degree then I work in a career and find wife and build a farm house to live on with much animals to live in peace and harmony. thanks

    Did you transfer from SDCCD? I got accepted to UCLA and UCSD for EE and trying to decide between the two.

      Yes! I went to SD City ☺️ I really enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere at UCLA outside of academics (even if I couldn’t always participate, having the option was nice!). I’d recommend trying to find any current students at both departments and asking them about the culture and quality of professors.

      @@KatVoltage There are a couple people I know at each, but none are EE. A math major at UCLA coming from Mesa said that it is harder than she expected it to be. What was your experience compared to classes in the district? I find most are pretty easy, but Calc 3, DE, and the physics series were pretty tough. Although I was able to get A's. Also how much C++ do you use after you transfer?

      It is an extremely difficult change. You can watch my video about my UCLA experience for more detail. The coursework is extremely rigorous, but what I struggled with most was the change from semester to quarter paired with the increase in rigor.

      As an EE you are required to take 2 C++ classes along with the CS majors, but you don’t need to do more past that if you don’t want to.
