    The little sandy beach in the shrimp generator is looking great.
    Perfect lighting settings.

    Also in the Midwest and doing lots of research before starting my first tank, I’m glad for the tip about using RO water for water changes!

    I love endlers with the twin bars. I've seen many online sales and people buy them but don't get what they purchased. The breeders send less quality of a fish, my reason's not to buy online. Where did you purchased yours? Love your tanks, much more the 20 gallon long.

    It's maybe weird, but I love that we can hear you breathe while you're doing your maintenance in silence (e.g. 4:10). It's so relaxing

    The tanks are beautiful. I want to build a plant tank soon. Bettas are my favorite. I am excited to see what kind of new tank you make for your betta. Thanks for sharing.

    A lot of resources say mandatory water changes, usually like 25%, every week. Do you not have to do that because you use RO?

    • @Aryan-gk4yc
      @Aryan-gk4yc 10 месяцев назад +1

      It's mostly due to plant , u can say RO too maintain stable tds

    • @WorldofWhasian
      @WorldofWhasian  10 месяцев назад

      25% once a week is definitely not a bad base line to follow, especially when starting out in the hobby and you really can't go wrong. Bottom line, is that each tank is its own entity and over time you learn what works and what doesn't! Just be sure to test water.

    Question about topping off. I have been heating my RO water to the same temp as the tank water (75-77 F). My RO out of the tap is bout 67 F. Should I continue heating to the tank temp or is that not necessary?

    • @WorldofWhasian
      @WorldofWhasian  10 месяцев назад +1

      For minor top offs, I wouldn't worry about it. I usually pour it near the filter outlet so it gets mixed right away. Definitely like to heat my water for big water changes though!

    You don’t put glass cover on your tank . Do you think plants will grow best without glass cover ?

    • @sudeepnarasimha
      @sudeepnarasimha 10 месяцев назад

      Ofcourse unless there's no jumpy fish there's no reason for cover , unless you are lazy to top up your tank

    • @WorldofWhasian
      @WorldofWhasian  10 месяцев назад +2

      Basically this haha! Aethetic purposes mainly. I also do it, because condensation on the cover would get my floaters wet and kill them.
