What makes AVM peak crazy is the fast paced and strict timing, even if you do the most insane shortcuts your saved time will end up dying on the timed doors parts
there's really no "shortcuts", the path you go is the path they deliberately designed for you to go as someone who've reached the end in LB's version of AVM (which is buffed by a bit btw), i'd say the pace hits hard on your mentality, the actual difficulty is generally pretty chill compared to Dystopia or Overflow
@@Seven-Studios2 I suck at the game and I can't even beat blue moon, yet I've soloed AVM around 5 times in regular FE2 now without doing any of the shortcuts (except the jump pad one at tower) Was AVM just mega nerfed or was it easy to begin with and the music and pace makes people think its difficult?
tbh u can be faster did u know that u can make it into that room early enough to see the lava not being under that jump at 1:32 and also if ur faster enough u can also make it to that door and it won't open you'll have to wait
@@lizard3418 depends a lot on how fast you climb the tower for the most part, most people arent mechnically skilled or confident enough to reach the last door early
when i saw someone do the last shortcut, i assumed it was an invisible truss, and when i treated it as such, i do it all the time. however, when i treated it as a normal high jump (no freeze/flick), i was never ever able to do it idk why this popped up in my reco but anyways this was how i do it consistently
here's my take on this level from my experience in LB's version of AVM (buffed pacing and extra obstacles) (!) General rule of thumb: Visual and auditorial cues help alot in determining how far behind or ahead you are [*] From the start to the second button: - If you manage to get out of the first room without seeing lava behind, then you're in optimal pace, the only place you'll most likely mess up is the wraparound at 0:30. - Hear the music syncs to the jumps at 0:41 ? Strive for that, if you're behind, pray to god you pull through [*] From the second room to the elevator: If you pull through the last part, trust me that this part will be a small break. You'll still need to be moving constantly but the timings are way looser now. Don't mess up at the wall jumps :))) [*] The Climb: - Whichever "most optimal" path you take, you will always land on the platform when the drop hits at 1:12. You're not saving any seconds, that timing is intended - Stick to his corner cuttings, losing even a bit of time fails you on the last door - Your biggest opponent will be walljumps. LB's version is buffered, FE2's not, so time it correctly - Visual cues are your friend. The lava should get to the hanging concrete once you get to the top platform (1:20). The lava should get to the mark on the walls once you reach the walljump (1:25) - Pray to god you don't flatslide on the 1:34 jump [*] Last Stretch: - THE LAST DOOR OPENS ON TIME, keep that in mind. You'll never reach the last door "too early". Once the drop at 1:36 hits, the door should open, and you should be there as it does - Remember how the door opens on time? If you fall behind on the climb, you'll most likely not survive the last part - If you did, waste no time, this is the hardest part both mentally and physically, 1/10 of a second lost and you'll be dead. Be careful of the truss - Also please, like, don't do the shortcut shown at 1:50 unless you had practiced it. Extremely high risk and not worth an entire run, just hold Space and go the normal path You should be mentally prepared, the ID for Liquid Breakout's version is "JeFu8=", take notice of the differences. Best of luck. [*] Extra: It's getting on my nerves how different the two versions are, the timings are off too, so i'll be listing some major ones here - The moment you make the second jump at 0:10, the crescendo should hit, FE2's eats down on this timing - The box for the zipline at 0:33 is put back, it'll get pretty uncomfortable once you practiced LB's version for long enough - The zipline at 0:56 is put forward (god i hate this) - The gap at 1:04 shouldn't be too big of a deal - The 1:28 lava slows down (it's an illusion to make you feel safe, keep up the pace) - An extra third platform with a wraparound at 1:30 (that is why it's an illusion) - 1:34 Exitable zipline replaced by support beam - Extra walljump at 2:23 The timings on the second room to the elevator in FE2 feels quicker than usual, maybe I wasted a lot of time on parts that are different (the zipline offset is way worse than you think)
Tbh with every runs I make on AVM one thing is for sure, as long as you reach the elevator and the door at the top on time then you're sure to survive (unless you fail the final part)
Good shortcut at the end that I didn’t know about. I wouldn’t risk it if I have time to do the other two jumps. Get to the first door by high 11 or 12-13 seconds. 12 is good pace and 13 is when I miss a jump. 22.5-23.5 seconds when you reach the top of the zip line you can get rescue and to the door before it start or just about to open pretty easily if you do the jumps to the button and to the rescue optimally. Like you said if you get to the door like when it’s half way to completely open then you will probably make it if you go fast getting to the elevator will be difficult if you were like 1 second behind to the door. If it takes you 24.x seconds to reach the top of the zip line then you can still make it to the elevator but risky to go for escapee. After the elevator do the shortcut and don’t be late after the tower you want to make sure you get to the door right when it’s opening. The last part is just going around the bend and not choke like I do. Go straight for the last button after the box jump and barely hit the buttons and jump immediately on to the first platform and just keep jumping.
1:10 doesnt save that much time because you have to wait for the elevator to stand still before being able to jump. If you do it normally you can jump earlier which can be more consistent.
0:30 There's a thing where the platform part right before the zipline could be left or right. 0:59 This is maybe where average people start dying due to not angle it right. Just angle it right. 1:12 Not recommended since your character might slow down for some reason. And you could die. I'd rather do it regular. 1:14 You shouldn't really be dumb lol. Do it to the right. If left your losing about 1 second and may not even get to live the final part of AVM. Just angle it right and you should be OK. I recommend not using shiftlock. (Best comfortable for some people) 1:34 Time your jumps and you should be alive. I would go not close to the middle since it gives slightly more space to jump. You can actually bounce sometimes even if you got it so do it perfect. Just like doing a 12 stud jump.
1:12 is a simple shortcut and it is easy to pull off, and can save a second or so. Another thing to note if there are exploding buttons that could be very useful. Plus you gain more time to be able to get to the door in time. One more thing using shift lock or not is a preference, it is whatever you are comfortable with.
The first part and second part dont matter in the long run as long as you can grt through the door and on the elevator your fine but after that if your late you gone just reset
that elevator to wall jump shortcut saves only half a second. it doesnt save you 2 seconds. i tried beating avm without the shortcut and this is how it happens. i make to the wall jump while 50 people take that shortcut almost the same time as i do, so the shortcut is useful but only use it if you are consistent at long jumps, i've died to it atleast 5 times
the jump button size is the only problem to me. if somebody knows how to resize the jump button bigger please let me know. thanks for the helpful tutorial
If you meant without, yes. If you go more towards the middle you will be more likely land the jump on the piece of wood without going sideways, sense it is a little farther.
