Xrysa, it's me again. Are u from Ορεινή(Фращани in Bulgarian) ? I am Bulgarian from Macedonia, but i am born in Bulgaria. The language is pure Bulgarian dialect and i understand it perfectly, 50-100 different words doesn't make a new language :) We call it Bulgarian dialect . The village is created by Bulgarians, before 400 years and as i told u, even today there is not a single greek there, probably the priest is greek, the whole population is Bulgarian.
I have plans to visit the village and also Banitsa( Καρυές) and i want to ask u, can i rent a room for the night there ?
U are right, the people there are great no doubt ...
So, are u from there, or your mother/father ? And also, can u speak our language(po nashe razbirash li ) ?

Hello. I do not live there in the village. I live in the capital city. far as they know there are no rooms to stay there despite someone in a hotel within the city to Serres. I was born there and so I speak Bulgarian and I understand ( razbiram )if and hard to talk to a Bulgarian because as I told you there are many differences in the dialect

Thank you very much for the info, blagodaram ! I am asking you because i want to visit the ex village next to Frastena- Καρυές(Banitsa), where is killed our hero Gotse Delchev.I know its hard for you to understand the modern Bulgarian, for me is not hard because i learn the macedonian dialect from my dedo ... Before around 120 years, we vote wich dialect to be official in Bulgaria western(yours) or eastern(modern Bulgarian) and we choose the eastern dialect. Your dialect is similar to the dialect in Petrich, Blagoevgrad, Sandanski, Delchevo(my town), Strumitsa. I am very happy that you understand the dialect of our dedo and baba.
I want to ask you a few more questions ... What about the young children in Frastena, those who are under 18 years old. Do they speak the dialect ? Also do u comunicate with the dopia(locals) in the other villages ?
As i know u Aegeans(Egeici) celebrate Ilinden every year in Ovcharani(Μελίτη).
It is what it is, history can't be changed. We, Macedonian Bulgarians dont want to make problems to you, we want to be friends ! You can feel Bulgarian, Greek, Macedonian or Dopia, its your choise !
Thak you again and pozdrav od Bulgaria .

Good evening, so what's your name? You ask me about young people, most of them use this dialect. I dont leave there so i have no idea if they comunicate with the locals in other villages.
