Nice! It's cool to see you getting more used to the melee. You've still got a lot to learn before you're sliding and dodging your way through levels like a whirling ballerina of death in true zealot style, but you've started the climb. Time for some movement tips and tricks! 1) Sliding makes you immune to ranged fire for a second. When approaching ranged enemies, make sure to spam slide. Sliding does NOT stop melee enemies hitting you. 2) Dodging makes you immune to melee attacks for a second. Make sure to dodge whenever you hear an incoming melee attack. Dodging does NOT reliably stop ranged attacks, with the notable exception of snipers. 3) When you have the big red laser beam on you, that means you're about to take a billion damage from a sniper. Dodge or slide when you hear the charge-up sound of the sniper shot. 4) When being charged at by a plague ogryn, hold block. Then, you can melee and dodge backwards whenever you see him telegraph an attack, then go back in for melee. Great zealots can solo plague ogryns in melee without taking a hit :) 5) Not a movement thing, but purple health means corrupted. Each separated block in your health bar is 1 "wound". If you get knocked down, 1 wound gets corrupted (purple). If you have no more uncorrupted wounds, you die. The only way to clear corrupted wounds is the medicae station. Medicae stations have limited charges, you can see how many with the big glowing blue circles on them.
Being a whirling ballerina of death makes me so giddy to think about lol 1. This is wonderful news. I'll definitely make sliding a muscle memory starting now so I can get used to it! 2. Oh I forgot about the audio cue for melee attacks. I'm too busy bonking I haven't been paying attention to it. I'll mess around in the training to get better with the cues. Met those snipers in this part and yeah, my health got CHUNKED. 3. Slide to the left, slide to the right. Got it! 4. I shall learn to be a great Zealot for the emperor! 5. THANK YOU! I wasn't sure what any of this meant, so I really appreciate the clarification here.
Oh damn, i watched the first episode a day or two ago, forgot to subscribed and RUclips still put this in my recommended, the light of the emperor is shining on your algorithm metrics it seems
oh, damn! i just watched your first vid on this like....2 hours ago and didnt notice this, well, once again, i offer myself to play with you. if you were to wish to do so! and i am glad to see you are getting more used to this, the game is great! The emperor protects!

If your on PC I have to recommend using the numeric UI mod, lets you know exact amount of ammo that pickup give you and how much ammo will be wasted if you pick it up now, the max ammo amount that the gun has, the ability cooldown and the amount of ammo teammates have and visible dodge count for when they become ineffective and other stuff, all which can be turned off in the mod settings menu
And for the Zealot charge ability, recommend using it while holding down heavy attack. The knife has horrible horde clear but is decent against singular targets and allows you to move the fastest out of the melee weapons IIRC, the light attack does barely anything against armored enemies
I'll check out this mod today! I had no idea about the ammo situation and stuff so that's good to keep in mind. Thanks for taking the time to comment this!
I prefer a 2H chainsword or Thunderhammer as Zealot because I like to 1-hit the chaff enemies, whereas I can see your knife takes like 3-4 hits. But I am in no way an optimal player, I just enjoy bonking things and yelling angrily!

Team is also getting purple corruption bars from holding Grimoires, finding and extracting gives challenge progress and bonus rewards

Oh interesting! I was curious what the benefit or reasoning for the grimoires was

@@hebbu10 Heavy attacks targeting weak spots with the knife are really legit. The light attacks against carapace absolutely do nothing at all.

Noted! Yeah the knife was fun, but I definitely prefer the horde clearers.

I want to use both of those weapons so bad! Bonking things and yelling angrily are two of my favorite things in video games too!
