Got my 2023 with no markup. They do exist you just have to be patient. I love this little car so much!

I just love how you praised the Fiesta ST, I have a 2014 with a Cobb stage two Tune short shift kit motor mounts, 3" MBPR exhaust and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport tires, it has 112,000 miles on it and I'm on my 7th set of tires, at 75 I love driving on three wheels. The Fiesta Flash.

Best review I've seen...spot on. Especially like the comment about it being a special street car that has just a little something extra compared to a type R (which I owned), Elantra N, etc. Very fun to drive as you mentioned. I knew I was going to buy one as soon as I drove it. Also, spot on in that it reminds me of my old Evo 8 as it reminds you of your old Fiesta ST.

The problem about this car is the price. Not the Toyota price but what mark ups the dealership put on it.

you definitely have to shop around. there are dealerships selling for msrp and even a few thousand below msrp

Hear me out, do you want it now or later? What is your time worth? I am not supporting the price gouges but some dealers offer more than others.
61k OTD after title tag and tax at a local dealer. Blue flame circuit. If I waited a year would’ve been mine. Also, has full XPEL front end + tint.
It’s $45-$51k before markup. You’re still basically in the ballpark.
$10-$15k is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Interested in your comment about being able to slide it on track, I think I've watched every GRC video on RUclips and I have heard people were only able to break the back wheels loose on wet surface. Also have heard a lot of people having overheating issues with the AWD. Enjoyed the video, great energy and delivery. Picking up a CE this weekend!

It doesn’t slide unless you pull the E brake and donut. It skids not slides

Put a decent LSD in the back and it slides under power. Check out Nemtec Race Team on RUclips and their GR Gymkhana build 👍

Think they fixed the overheating issue for 2024. They added heatshields to stop the heat.

Yeah the AWD system is prone to overheating on a track. Its been a problem since the GR Yaris but Toyota has not addressed it.
There has been no solution or fix for it yet.

Not a sports car. Not a sports car. Not a sports car. Every novice car enthusiast YT reviewer: Please, for the love of all things rubber and petrol... learn what a "sports car" is. Technically, a sports car is a 2 place (seat) convertible with "sporting intentions". Think British roadsters from the 50's and 60's. That is a sports car. By modern definition, the new Corvette could be considered a sports car. Does this GR Corolla look like a Corvette or a small British sports car? No. The GRC is a 4-door hatchback, not a sports car and calling it one isnlike calling a dog a cat. Not knowing the difference takes away from your credibility as a presenter.

It’s a street legal rally car.

@@CaniHaveTheRedPill Nope. Not a factory homologated rally car. That is the GR Yaris. The GR Corolla is just a simple, performance hatchback. A great, low production one, granted. I love mine. But it is not a street legal rally car. That would be my 1974 Lancia Stratos or my 1983 Renault R5 Turbo 2.
