I’ve got a Terrapin that’s a paper weight because they’ve got a crap warranty. They won’t even fix it if I paid for it. If you don’t back your product you’re playing Russian roulette with your money.
This was great! I pre-ordered these last month and I can’t wait to get them. This is the first review I’ve seen on them and I’m so fired up. Probably 1-2 months out still but this has me excited. Thanks for the review!
Trying to decide between these and the Sig Kilo 10K Gen 2 binoculars that were just announced. I absolutely LOVE the HUD on these! But my Sig Kilo 8K has been great. And I at least KNOW that Sig Sauer will honor the Warranty on their products.
They look basically identical except that with the sig you can adjust the reticle position. With the vectronix if it comes misaligned with the reticle you are fucked aren't you?
Looking for the shootout between all the rangefinders. You said look in the description? I don't see anything in the description on the website comparing different bino RF. Is this coming later?
will it transmit the Range, Inclination and Azimuth to the Garmin Foretrex 901 ? (because the Terrapin X would only transmit "Range" to the Foretrex 701 )
Nice, beam divergence is worse than the Terrapin X by 50% and 25% for the 8 and 10~12 power respectively. I guess something had to give, that HUD is sexy as hell tho and I like that it's 18650. There's no mention of maximum range in the table tho, is it still 3000 meters?
We do - as many as we can as quickly as we can. If you shoot us a last name or order number to look for in email, happy to try to find out what's going on with your inquiry.
10y minimum, and max on reflective target is listed at 7,000y with max on a deer listed at 2,400y. We have no really good way to test if these ranges are real, overstated, or understated, so we aren't going to.
I have Zeiss Victory RFs and there is no blue coloring. Which is what I want, I would pay another $500 for these to have Swaro/Zeiss/Leica alpha level bino glass and come in 15x power . I think that shot around @4:12 kindve got me 😢.
Cameras are an odd thing. We will talk specifically about this in the shootout video, but these do NOT have some heavy blue tint. Again, people are rightfully careful, but this isn’t an issue. We had 6 of the big name items in the shop for the last couple weeks. Don’t let one blue set of binos soil others for you.
Seems like they wrote the spec sheet in metric and then messed up the translation. -20C should be -4F, but if you look at what 20C comes to, it's the listed 65F. This seems a translation issue, and -4F is the correct number. We have used the unit in much colder than 65F ourselves, I'd be willing to make a hefty bet on this one.
i think its really unfair to leave the sig kilos out of this. unfair to say there is "anything else like it". when clearly the sig kilo is just like it. these may be a little more streamlined for efficiency in data/format compared to them though.
What we need to see is this new rangefinder or any rangefinder capable of ranging a 1 moa size target at distance. Two tripod mounted Sig Kilo 10ks in my possession are not capable of this...18" @ 1760 yards. Pitiful! Let's see a video on that test.
Lots of money for buying into a product without a lot of field and data testing and what about product service and support? They might be "game changers" but not everyone is an top PRS shooter and has that kindnof cash. In 3 years these will be as obsolete as an handbheld golf rangefinder.

Vectronix has a very poor history for consumer side after sales support. Lots of horror stories with really expensive LRFs

The 60 second summary is something I wish was done more often
Thank you. Are trying to work them in on videos that are more than 2-3 minutes, and can possibly be compressed. Appreciate the feedback!
Great review. The one thing I would like is a stabilized version of this.
Been waiting on these!
Looking forward to the LRF Bino shootout - didn't see the link below, so figure it'll be hitting the channel at some point
That will drop W/Th of this week
@@area419 grateful
omg so cool. well worth saving and waiting
This is a game changer for PRS
We agree!
Iv got my money sitting in savings just waiting.. Definitely getting the 10x42 DMR w/range enhancers... shit iv already got the wife sold on em😂

How do you think this will compare to the kilo 10k v2?
Looking for the shootout between all the rangefinders. You said look in the description? I don't see anything in the description on the website comparing different bino RF. Is this coming later?
It drops tomorrow at 10A EST - make sure you head back

Yeah for LD like ELR I'd much rather have these features in my spotting scope as I'm always going to have that set up and likely a spotter manning it.
Hi there,
Pretty smart looking Bino’s. Is the reticle is the right or left barrel?
Reticles and all display are in the right side
have you looked at the sig kilo 10k gen 2 yet ?
whats going on the dates are moving around.rumor say its going to be next for this unit.
New products, especially glass/electronics, tend to have drop dates shift around. Newest information we have is to look for August shipping.

Why is it that when you call your company and leave a message and email on one return call or email?

These look awesome! What are the minimum and maximum ranges?

Nice.
When do you guys think you are going to drop the other video.?
Probably Tu/Wed on Patreon, and then the following day here on YT
Thanks guys. I'm excited!
Is it possible to have them without any reticle etched?
No
Let the backorder games begin.
Can two range enhancers be interchangeable or purchased separately?
Unsure what you mean on interchangeability, but yes they can be purchased separately.
I have Zeiss Victory RFs and there is no blue coloring. Which is what I want, I would pay another $500 for these to have Swaro/Zeiss/Leica alpha level bino glass and come in 15x power . I think that shot around @4:12 kindve got me 😢.

Will it pair with a Kestrel?
Yes
Are the moa or just mils
Reticles are mil only, but your displayed ballistic solutions can be either
Can you get without the etched mil?
No, all models have etched reticles
Where does it read wind from?
Wind is something you input (or it can pull from a Kestrel or Calypso). Atmospheric sensors are onboard the unit
@@area419 love to hear about calypso integration...
It would have been nice if you actually DID put the link to the comparison in the description....
That will be released W/Th this week
MIL only? Would hope that they can swap between MOA & MIL
They are etched mil reticles. Your firing solution can be toggled between the two, but the reticle offerings are mil.
the Op Temp has got to be wrong... only down to 68F? but -20 C? 20 C is 68 F, but -20 C is -4 F. Hoping for -4F range for hunting

It looks like it is going to be next year before ready
Latest we have heard is August, though until they are in the states and ready to ship, no way to be absolutely certain
No, there’s a strike going on with that company. I’m not sure how that’s gonna affect the product.
What solver does it run?
AB Elite built in, or can use other solvers (like 4DOF) if you Bluetooth to a device
Come out with a MOA retical and take my money.
$35...hell ill take 10 lol

The kilo 10ks suck as binoculars... the worst blue picture I've ever seen. The 8k is damn near just as capable as a rangefinder
