Devils have been playing great as of late. Daws has been a revelation in net. Only complaint about this game was the God awful commentary and broadcast overall. Bill Spaulding and Kenny Daneyko are so much better

Came here for the comments about the ABC broadcast team. I was not disappointed, that's what happens when you have the broadcasters in a studio 30 minutes away and not on site.
Out of the Mainstream Sports Leagues because we're think of casuals fans in NA. The NHL out of the 4, in my opinion, is the best. The fast pace, not knowing who will win the cup, the All Star Competition has been very entertaining, and most importantly when they win the league, Bettman hands the cup to the players, not the owners. That's the right way to do it. Take notes to other three leagues.
There was a pretty fair amount of snow in the NYC area yesterday. I'm surprised they didn't leave some on the sidelines just for TV/scenic wintertime effects. I saw a comment that it was impossible to read the Devils numbers with the design of their jerseys, but whose eyes are good enough anyway to read jersey numbers if you're not in the first five rows at the arena? Not mine.
Vanecek would be the best backup G in the league if we make Daws the starter cause he’s been playing lights out in games after Daws since we’ve inserted Daws! We messed up by making him a full time starter

Seeing a stadium full of people at a game can be really cool and exciting however these stadium games the fans are so far away from the hockey rink and they are rarely caught on camera it looks just like any other hockey game. Also the fans being so far away it's not as loud when a goal is scored. I don't know why NHL doesn't bring the fans closes to the ice like WWE has seat all the way up to the ring NHL should sell seats all the way up to the ice, they could sell more tickets and it would look better on tv. Also NHL should only do 1 or 2 of these a year doing 4 or 5 makes them mundane and boring.
Nothing different from the 90's. Devils get a lead, they win vs Flyers. Flyers are a no talent team with a coach that is good at taking no talent teams and making them over- achievers but no playoffs this year. Their offense is pathetic and so is their inconsistent goalie, maybe next year.

Look up the revenue for each of the 4 major sports in NA. I don't think the other 3 give a sh*t what the NHL is doing.
Nhl is number 4 by a mile in the US. Its the only one i watch though because nfl and nba are a joke, and mlb i dont watch until postseason.

He was pretty great last year tho, except for the playoffs. Maybe this was a off year and he finds his form back yet.

I was at this game it was amazing except for the fact that my flyers lost but at least i got to see the flyers play go flyguys!!!!
