I agree with you about Seohyun she is really stable most of the time along with Taeyeon... Her voice can be a mix of Taeyeon and Jessica she can go really high or powerful. Skip a few years and she's unflappable. btw I'd love for you to hear their performances on this show called Lalala. All 'vocal line' members are present, so Tae, Sica, Tiffany, Seohyun and Sunny (who is real a highlight there!!), and they perform some acoustic songs. No backing track, good sound quality, and they were all seasoned performers by that point so they sound much more confident.

Seohyun was so introverted at the beginning, it makes me wonder how she ever thought becoming a K-Pop trainee made sense, and also why she was put into the group ( notwithstanding her lovely voice and studious discipline), given the general demands and expectations for 'perkiness' and 'aegyo' from female performers, on camera. But she provided an adorable and charming contrast to the exuberance and confidence of most notably Yoona, Sunny Yuri, Tiffany and (especially) Sooyoung. But, much like Taeyeon, when the songs themselves required 'attitude' on stage, she delivered. It's not uncommon for 'introverts' to become actors, and Seohyun is IMHO a very good actor. But I also get the impression she personally benefited from rooming with Hyoyeon who, although also 'camera-shy' for a long time, seems always to have been 'the cool girl' in the group. The LaLaLa sessions are really gorgeous. I 'found' SNSD only in 2019, but I made a point of learning about them chronologically, and particularly through their TV shows and interviews first, before getting into their MVs and incredible concerts. The LaLaLa sessions provide a great example of the fact that they weren't just naturally gifted with lovely singing voices, able to just sing whatever was handed to them, but that they cared about the art and craft of singing, and of music. That they weren't merely products of a formulaic 'pop' production line' system , but in fact, musical artists.

But as the time goes by you'll know the song. It really bring back memories to early SONE era for me. To answer your question. They debuted in August of 2007 (the 5th I believe). The video of 'Merry Go Round' says that it was November 2007, so 3 months after they debuted.

I was 10 yrs old since their debut but Gee era, that's where I've became fan of them. Because my friend watched the song Gee for me, he teased me to watch it until I liked it and I've became fan. Almost 12 yrs being SONES 💕
Oh my gosh. It was when all of them were high-schoolers. Seohyun was 16. I really love the first album, the concept of which is coherent: teenage girls' dream and love. The song I like the most in this album is Baby Baby, which was the A-side of the following repackage album.

Actually is normal, not having full group in some radio shows (even in award shows), they sing Merry go Round in another radio show with only Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Sunny and Hyo.

Seohyun came late since it wasn't her part remember they are covering all the girls voices so it's easy to mess it up. Another thing is they do a lot of OT9 radio performances specially in their early era it was just coincidence you found the OT4 radio performance since there's other ones without tiffany but with Sunny and Hyo included for example. ITNW, KY, Baby Baby , SNSD, Gee, Genie, Hoot all have OT9 radio performances
