Re-recording of one of my earliest uploads.. I played this game like 5 times as a child and it looks like one of those games that's bad but I always found it quite enjoyable.. it's definitely better than Dark Tomorrow. The game's difficulty feels just right. Not too easy but not too challenging either. It's very straight forward, no puzzles or backtracking and there's plenty of checkpoints. The only stage I don't like is Gasworks where you have to turn three valves.. you're guaranteed to die here a few times whilst trying to figure the stage out and due to how the level is designed, the game isn't able to put forgiving checkpoints for you. The stage is still only about 5 minutes, so it's nothing bad, but probably the hardest compared to all the other stages. -- Anyway, the one thing that sucks about this game is the combat.. it isn't good.. and as you get further in the game the enemies get much more HP.. once you get to the Gasworks part I suggest you just stop killing enemies and run past, because you lose much more HP fighting them. They always recover after a while anyway unless you handcuff them (but there's never enough handcuffs to handcuff them all). I noticed that it's best to glide past enemies because then you can't get pulled into combat. -- Lastly, the previous version was a little dark. I noticed I kept the brightness at it's original setting there.. I've increased it a bit for this version and the video should also come out clearer due to component cables over composite. Some stages might still be a bit dark, but it should all be viewable now.. I didn't want to turn brightness up too much because it'd look silly.
I know I at least got to fighting the joker on the wrecking ball and having to throw batarangs at him, but everything else I have absolutely no memory of and decided today is the day I find out what I missed lmaooo
Damn I could’ve cried watching this. Got this game for Christmas 2001. I was five and didn’t understand memory cards and restarted the game everytime I played until I was 8 and got a memory card lol
This was my childhood game, and one of my first games ever. It's so weird seeing this again. And yet I think about this game every once and a while. Yet I never finished it
Im not gunna lie this game felt unnerving to me when I played it, the soundtrack, the semi abandoned environments, lighting, random enemies that seem like hulking masses, especially in the Poison Ivy stages, it reminded me so much of Batman: The Animated Series and how dark that series was however it did mix in some humor as well. In comparison to the Arkham games where I never really felt scared or that it was dark, I just felt like a macho spiderman cleaning up some psychologically deranged power houses. I do love the Arkham games though.
Actually this was the first Gamecube game ever, developed and released even before the actual Gamecube console by 6 months. They didn't know what the Gamecube was capable of.
The scariest part about this game is that it revealed something about Harley Quinn that went completely unnoticed. At 20:27, "Mary Flynn" starts frantically explaining the situation, and Batman believes her and gives her an SOS device. Batman is supposed to be the world's greatest detective, which would include criminal profiling and the study of body language and facial expression. But Harley was able to disguise herself as a different woman entirely, and give every indication that she was telling the truth, which shows that Harley's background in psychology gave her the ability to trick even Batman's intelligence by perfectly acting how a helpless victim would act if their son was held for ransom.
I’ve never heard of this game until tonight where i was reading Screenrant articles about the passing of Kevin Conroy. I stopped playing video games right about then. As an adult, i only started playing video games again with the Arkham series. Now i need to play this one. It has everything ❤️
I loved those freefall sections where you have to catch people before they fall to their death! I remember being stuck on the factory level of this game for YEARS. I miss it when games used to be challenging and fun at the same time
I legit never got past the bridge level as a kid because I didn't know I had to wallsneak into the next part, are you kidding me! Oh, I feel so silly now. I'm buying this game off eBay because now I feel utterly unstoppable 🤣🤣
That part got me too, don't worry. Took me about an hour to figure that simple part out. BUT WHO KNEW? There was NO indication that you had to wallsneak around there.
Till this day I was stuck in that same part too 😭😭, sadly my GameCube no longer works but I’m planning on getting a new one so I can finally finish the game
Old games are really something else, their cutscreens etc are really cinematic and scary and have tension and game has more tension. Plus I like the fact they use red sky like it is in animated series. So cool game... New batman adventures game :) I wish there was games like this based on cartoons for other DCAU cartoons
Swear the GCN version is slightly more polished than the PS2. I can spot some subtle differences (like the green bars in the HUD for health and the graphics in game). Another is how Batman actually detonates charges with a switch in this version, but doesn't on PS2.
As a kid I never had a memory card (me and my parents didn’t know you needed one) so I would have to restart every time which at the time felt normal 😂
jesus X blocks genius I just ordered this game since my og one just gave up after so many times playing it as a teenager grew up with the animated series and watched all it's og airing all the way to justice league unlimited it's a shame that ubisoft didn't make another game like this one an Arkham blue print of what Batman games should have.
What if... 1: Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart in Batman: Vengeance When Joker concots a deadly new scheme with Gotham at stake, Batman joins forces with Cure Black, Cure White, and Shiny Luminous to stop it 2: Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star in Batman: Vengeance When Joker concots a deadly new scheme with Gotham at stake, Batman joins forces with Cure Bloom and Cure Egret to stop it 3: Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! in Batman: Vengeance When Joker concots a deadly new scheme with Gotham at stake, Batman joins forces with the Precure 5 to stop it
I got to play the GBA version of this game. I was surprised it had an actual console version. Now, I feel like getting and playing it. I'd dare say I'd want a remake of this Batman game to modern consoles. The Batman from the Animated Series was my favorite. I can still remember Harley saying her before battle quote in the GBA version, "Take a break and play awhile, doo da...doo da.."
The newer Elgato models only support HDMI, that’s right. I use an OSSC to allow converting component into HDMI signal. I believe cheaper converters work too but they won’t give you as good quality as you’d get with an OSSC
timecodes (workin on it)

I never even made it through the first level, now that i have a gamecube im collecting all my childhood games
Did you download am emulator and play it again? I have been playing it on my RG35XXH
One of the better pre-Arkham Bat games.
Rene Valdez oh really
@@MrGabeanatorduh? I wouldn't have said it if it wasn't true
Definitely one of the better 3D games. There was a 2D beat-em up tie-in game for the 1989 movie that’s actually really good.
@@skraegorn7317 no suprise at all
Batman begins was a good pre-Arkham game too.
One of the absolute best Batman games

Not even the Scarecrow dream sequences and the killer croc boss fight in arkham asylum dang
Kevin Conroy will always be the #1 *BATMAN* no matter what.
Fun fact of the night: the cast of this game is from *the new adventures of Batman*
And from the Arkham trilogy
And Mark Hamil the #1 *JOKER* .
I just met Kevin Conroy at Boston Comic Con
@@matthew108 funny, I’ve FINALLY met *Kevin Conroy* myself back in the *SFCC* in 2018
RIP Kevin Conroy (1955 - 2022).
Loved this game growing up honestly even though I've played the Arkham series I genuinely prefer this game for its story and ambience.
This game was so awesome! The art deco-ish style still holds up.
Rip Kevin Conroy he was the greatest batman whose live will not be forgotten .
Holy shit... this just took me back to my childhood watching my aunt place this game. Especially that bat mobile mission!!

The ending of Mr. Freeze's boss battle always stuck with me as a kid. That, and those neat loading screen title cards for each chapter.
1st game I ever played on the ps2 when it first came out, the dark atmosphere is great
This game will always be in my memories , i played it to much back then
I have become older quickly 💔

Stunning immersive Batman experience! Only big issue is how short it is, i remember being at the end and being frustrated that its over...
Most people will say Origins, but this might be the most underrated Batman game.
I might play this game as a guy who used to love superheroes when I was a kid
The first Batman game to have him gliding! I played this ALL day!!!!
I bought this for GameCube it'll be my first time playing 🦇🎮

I was scared of the fire breathing clowns in a box lmao
And i've never played this game in all my life, but i like it.
I remember playin this game and getting scared in the poison ivy section a-lot. Ah good memories
I didn’t realize until now that this inspired levels in the Arkham games and that Barbara is leading batman in this game and Arkham ❤️
Nostalgic memory unlocked …

Kevin Conroy is BATMAN🙏🏽

Joker 🃏 was “very sure” that he was in Batman’s earshot.
