The little boy is anxious for his older brother. he doesn't want him to be mocked and hated. he is really concerned and troubled. But he loves his older brother -- who is clearly a very good brother -- and he decides, in the end, to support him.

The fact that Philip felt comfortable sleeping in the same bed as his brother shows Philip (Filip?) has decided to not be hateful like the kids at school.

@@geebyleo agreed, but I would also have liked just a slightly different ending. Not too obvious of course, but it would have been nice if the acceptance from young Filip was shown in a way that would make his older brother wonder if he knew… like Filip drawing a picture of the 3 of them, and he had very casually drawn his brother and big Filip holding hands like it was no big deal. Not saying anything, no confrontation, nothing. Just the drawing left in his brothers room, or something like that 🤷🏼‍♀️ I would just love for Sebastian to kinda know about his little brothers acceptance, it would have brought a feeling of hope to the end, I think ❤

I really appreciated the use of actions and observations in this film to describe the process a young person experiences when they are processing new ideas and feelings. It's hard to put words on feelings that are new and confusing. This film allows one to ebb and flow with the young boy and his young conflicts as he does. Beautiful film.

It seemed like Filip really felt the weight of the world falling on his shouders. He had a great relationship with his older brother, but still was so scared and confused about what he saw. The most precious thing was that even though this new knowledge had messed with his vision of the world it didn't take away his love for Sebastian...
Filip needed to talk and share his feelings and uncertainties with someone. It felt like if Sebastian had only known, he would definetely reach out and help him understand everything in the best, the most gentle and caring way possible.
The film stops with Filip's confusion, his fear for Sebastian... This kind of situation must be really bad for a child as young as him. But we aren't left with the feeling he will stay there suspended in his unasked questions for ever. It seems that Sebastian is going to notice there's something different about his little brother and will find a way to have an honest conversation with him...
This film was beautiful. Made so gently, portraying a really important moment in a boy's life with touching simplicity and honesty. Loved it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@@sentaisuper5913 I believe it was just a random moment in time, where the younger brother stumbled across a situation that brought awareness to the future his brother might face. The aloneness he might feel having not shared his sexual orientation with his family - let alone his brother, as they are so close. The child on the playground - that probably happened all the time, the homophobia, and our main character just never saw it as relevant to notice until the situation literally hit home. Kids, and society, can be ugly, not realizing that a simple act of kindness or cruelty can affect the outcome of a life’s moment and future.

This little boy is very tactful! He didn't burst into his brother’s room, but only observed the process through a hole. This speaks of proper upbringing and universal respect and love in this family. I think it is necessary to give this child some gifts from RUclips so that he feels the support of people. But his brother sleeps too much. I would advise him to drink pomegranate juice. Maybe RUclips should send these people the products they need.

I felt that it was rather rushed during the last half. I loved that Filip went through a lot of confusion and sorting in his head (fantastic little actor, btw), but it never got resolved. Yes, he ended up accepting the relationship his brother has with his bf, but a kid that young would definitely have questions. You portrayed the brotherly relationship in such a sweet, caring way, so I would imagine he'd feel comfortable asking said questions. He seemed very close to the bf, too, so they could've all sat together and had a nice chat.
Don't get me wrong, this was a sweet little film about familial love and acceptance. I enjoyed it immensely. :) I merely feel like tacking on an extra 10-15 minutes to hash out the kid's feelings would've been good. Also, I know him seeing that one kid get bullied was a turning point for him in gaining empathy for LGBTQIA people, but it would've been cool if he later became friends with him. :)

A lot of people are commenting how they didn’t like the ending, but they’re missing the point. This short film was not meant to be all about the ending, it’s about seeing moments through little Filip’s eyes. The ending where he still feels comfortable with his brother is not meant to show whether he accepts Seb or not. That’s not the point. The point is that he saw something that could’ve changed his admiration for his brother, but he ultimately decided not to let it affect him. Acceptance is not the goal. The ending is not what makes this film good. It’s about witnessing the experience and being able to feel however you feel about it, but without necessarily seeing the brother as a bad person.
