Jeremy Soule will not be involved in the creation of the soundtrack of ES6. What a tragic mistake y Bethesda. Jeremy Soule's music encapsulates the real soul of the ES series. If he's not there, it's surely not an ES game, just an uninspired lookalike.
Man... that's a real bummer. I don't play video games anymore but the only reason I was looking forward to ES6 was to have a new Jeremy Soule soundtrack.
It's because there were allegations of sexual assault/harassment from a couple different women, sadly. Even heroes can have a dark side and victimize others.
@@MattZaharias In the court of public opinion, a person is guilty until proven innocent. Good job being a part of the problem. Hope you're proud of yourself.
When I listen to Soule's music, I feel like I'm living my last moment on Earth, like I'm dying, and I'm suddenly appreciating all good things, big and small, that have happened in my life. I feel sad. I feel scared. I feel so happy. All at the same time I stop stressing out over the small shit and my soul is put to ease. I feel like I'm watching the recent things in my life slipping to thousands of years before this moment. I'm full of yearning for more life, and I feel hopeful for the future.
Man, yeah. It is so weird going back and playing or watching streamers play Morrowind because the music is so premium but the graphics are definitely xbox-era. Oblivion looks much closer to Skyrim, by comparison, and still holds up alright (if Skyrim can still be considered a standard for "good graphics") on the best graphical settings. But the music is timeless.
I went to Rocky Point, and on the beach, I listened to this mix. It was amazing. I felt that there was nowhere else I'd rather be. I simply cannot put the experience in words. This is a masterpiece that everyone should listen to.
Jeremy Soule's words on 3:22:14 The Doomlore Flame (GW: EOTN): Doomlore Flame (the name fit, in my case, on multiple levels) was one of the most weird and psychologically challenging assignments I have ever encountered (Guild Wars: Eye of the North). It was like my own personal Bermuda Triangle of a composition. Why? It was something in a chromatic vein and a straightforward composition. Yet internally, I couldn't listen to it for at least two years after I wrote it without feeling something beyond the notes. It made me uneasy. I have no idea why. It was what it was. And it turned out to be one of these obscure things I wrote that provided a moment of growth for me as a composer, but the public hardly noticed. Though the composition itself took a single day to create, the lasting effects it had on me, again, took years to dissipate. And people think all I do is write video game music.
Damn, studying isn't that bad anymore, thanks to these beautiful Jeremy Soule mixes. It's like studying while walking through the forests of Skyrim and Oblivion at the same time!
Amazing compilation. Jeremy Soule is one of my favorite composers of all time. His music has such an ethereal quality to it. Anyone who likes his compositions for the Elder Scrolls and Guild Wars series should also check out the work he did on the Never Winter Nights series. Just as well made in my opinion. Thanks for posting this Andrew.
God bless you, Jeremy Soule. You make these gray, work-filled days meaningful and balanced. I don't know how many times i've listened to the whole compilation. Thank you for putting it together Andrew!
The amount of great things people will achieve thanks to such beautiful and inspiring music is incredible. Indirectly, Jeremy has already made our world that much more better and... full of purpose.
Soule has a special gift for ambient music, the only truly new musical genre of the last 20 years. He deserves to be up there with the big guys Eno, Rober Rich, Kitaro et al. Superb, A+++ genius.
4:52:45 Abaddon's Mouth (GW: SE) is one of my favorites, the dark ambience is perfect for the Ring of Fire Islands. Jeremy Soule took the whole Guild Wars universe to another level with his music.
I have been a fan of Jeremy Soule's for a long time now. I used to listen to tracks directly from the CDs, skipping through various tracks but you have edited and compiled it perfectly. Thank you for sharing this!

I thought I already commented, if so, I don't mind saying that I am so happy I finally found out the name of the first piece. I had been looking for it, it's my favorite piece of music by Soule (and that is saying a lot) besides Secunda on the Skyrim soundtrack.
I wouldn't be half as addicted to TES as I am if not for this music. And if not for the game, even if music existed, high chance I wouldn't have found it and certainly wouldn't grew so attached through couple of hundreds of hours of listenining LOL . And I wouldn't have Watchman's Ease as my alarm.
I cannot begin to describe how much happiness this music brought to me. Given the similarities between Skyrim and Elden Ring, I was secretly hoping Jeremy Soule would someway somehow be composing the soundtrack of the new From software game. It would have been the best game ever.
