As a Russian who knows English, but doesn’t live in an English-speaking environment, I can say that the interviewer is difficult, not because of what he says, but how, his diction. Therefore, “the hatred on their faces”, which many saw, I interpret as understanding only half of the questions, they tried to listen carefully to every word, translating it in parallel. It’s hard. I don't know much about actors, Karen speaks great, he has a beautiful voice, probably lives in USA for a long time, or was born there. Vache didn't speak much, like Yura, I think, because of not good enough level of language. Mark tried his best, his vocabulary is bigger. The interviewer did well to ask questions to everyone, good job.

For those couple of comments saying ‘they hate eachother’ (still trying to see how ya’ll even came to that conclusion): 1. The cast has stated they hung out on shooting breaks/ holidays and got close, and consider eachother actual friends. 2. One example- For Mark’s 21st bday which happened while they were all living in NY, Yura rented a boat and everyone went out on the water and saw the Statue of Liberty which Mark was super excited about (Sean Baker I don’t think was present but all 5 of the cast here were & came to celebrate him on their time off). 3. When it comes to Mikey Madison’s feelings towards everyone here she’s expressed love and praise for each one. Mark she’s said put all the best parts of him into Vanya, which is what makes the character likable, and has said how helpful he was to her in learning russian and making her feel comfortable and open, and considers him very funny, sweet, and very thoughtful and intelligent. For Yura she has described him as very thoughtful and soulful, and always supported her and made her feel safe in shooting. He’d carry her nail glue, fix her cuts, and give her a hug on set if she ever needed it. She stated he’s very sensitive, sweet, intelligent, and depthful and was inspired and fascinated by his acting process. For Karen and Vache she’s also stated a love and respect for, and was impressed how Karen would also juggle his non acting life in shooting as he’s not a full time actor, and could even learn his lines coming over on the subway sometimes for a shoot. She’s complimented them in the same way as the others as well and seems to appreciate the support and openness she felt working with them and their kindness. 4. Finally for the other 4 mentioned, if you go and watch interviews or read them, they have all on numerous occasions constantly expressed their admiration and love for working with Mikey. Mark has very much gushed about working with her and her making him feel open as an acting partner as well, and her sweetness, support, and friendship. & Yura has constantly praised her work, her ability to pick everything up and quickly fall into a scene, as well as her sweetness, intelligence, professionalism, and kind inner depth. & Karen has described her as truly the most sweetest girl, and also praised her professionalism and abilities and admiration for her as a person. And finally Vache too has described how wonderful it was to work with her, how it was an honor as he admires her for the same reasons, and her sweetness and work ethic.

Interviews are awkward and people read into them way too much. Imagine you’re doing these interviews for like 4 hours, it sounds very tedious and boring and you have to keep yourself lifted to promote the film. I agree with everything you said

Agreed. And the obvious is the cultural differences and language barriers. If you watch many Eastern European/Russian actors in interviews, they tend to be quite serious and very deferential to others. And, both Yura and Mark have limited English-speaking skills (especially Yura).

what is achievement of the movie? a half part is full of sex and another half of running. no humor, no sense and predictable final scene. Many of indian, korean, european directors do more psychological and complicated movies. I wouldn't add giants such as Christopher Nolan, James Cameron, Denis Villeneuve, Neill Blomkamp who are the reference.
