- I've used the sony 200-600mm G OSS lens for 3 years now and I find it to be a very useful piece of equipment. For me it's an all-in-one solution for wildlife filmmaking and photography and it's my go to every time i'm out shooting - i'll explain why in this video.

Great lense
On the small screw part for the mount foot, have you tried loctite on it (I assume they screw into iron, not plastic)? If that does not help I would put some 2 component glue between the plate and screws...... for a more..... permanent fix hehe
I'm still having my doubts between this one and the Sigma 150-600 as that one only needs 58cm focus range, more versatile but the downside, it seems less sharp around 500mm..... guess I have to get out and test them both before buy.
I really want this lens, I hope to be able to afford it at the end of this year, or maybe sooner. Que gran video!! :D
Pray may Jesus fulfill ur dream
Cross my fingers for you - its really epic :) Guess you already know that haha..
Hi Anders! I have the same problem with the small screws on the lens foot, otherwise I think it's great lens especially for video.
Nice content, I follow you with pleasure!
Jack
Thank you so much 😊🙏 I’ve got a few solutions to this in the comments, so I’ll try that out.. if it works, I’ll keep you updated 👍
Use Locktight on the screws they won't come undone unless you want them to. Great lens love mine.
Thanks for the advice! :) I'll try it out - can't imagine ever taking it off anyway.
White reflects heat. That’s why.
Ahh didnt know that 😅 Thanks
I use the Sony rx10, 24 to 600mm
Also a nice all In one solution ☺️ haven’t tried the RX though
It is very sharp lens, but I find the RF 100-500 sharper, so with a bit more cropping have the same detail as the 200-600. I went trough several lenses and it is consistent observation.
The image stabilization for video is a lot more shaky in the Sony as well.
I really like the internal zoom though, especially for video work.
Im trying now the Nikkor 180-600 which has the best video stabilization among the three bylut unfortunately my copy is not as sharp as the Sony. I will be returning it for replacement, I hope the next one will be better.
Nice to know 🙏 I haven’t tried other brands though, so I can’t tell.. but I absolutely love this lens - it does the job for me 👍😊
Agree, I think it's the best lens for the money! I wish I could put it on my canon gear 😅
Maybe you can with a converter of some sort? I don’t know 🤷♂️ you just gotta switch to Sony.. right 😉😅
@@andersaastrup haha maybe one day! When they know how to build a camera-grip I will switch the same minute ;)
I Have one, its a great lens. Ive owned L canon lenses. And i do think they have a slight edge. But value for money, hands down, sony.
Yeah there are many lenses out there better and sharper - but the pricing though.. 💸😅 thanks for watching 🙏
With little screws coming loose. Use a little bit of loctite.
Blue formula Loc-Tite will do the job.
Thank you guys 🙏 I’ll try that out and see if it works
