I really enjoy your content! My son teaches English in Sapporo. I’m visiting Japan 🇯🇵 in March to visit him and his Japanese wife! I cannot wait and your videos make me look forward to coming e more! I think you will be happier in Japan 🇯🇵 America is going down hill really bad 🥲
Hello. This is my first time watching and commenting on your channel. I am Japanese. I studied abroad in Kansas City when I was in high school and graduated from a local high school there, so I know that there are many difficulties living in a different culture. However, I feel that there are many more difficulties for a foreigner to live in Japan than for a Japanese to live in the US. For example, there are many Japanese people who feel uncomfortable living in Japan because of the pressure to conform, old rules, etc. that are unique to Japan. (Of course, there are a certain number of Japanese who love Japan just as foreigners love their own country, but my sense is that the number is relatively small compared to other countries.) If this is the case, it must be even more so for foreigners. I hope that your life in Japan will be more fulfilling and happy. The University of Tokyo is one of the top educational institutions in the world, and I believe it will definitely be useful for you if you complete your studies. It is not easy for an ordinary Japanese to enter the University of Tokyo. I wish you good luck in your graduate studies as well. By the way, I went to Orlando, Florida to visit the ministry and Disney World during my stay in the U.S. Even though I went there in February, I swam in the pool and it was very warm and comfortable to live there. I would like to visit the U.S. again. Take care of yourself.
Great accomplishment, 1000 subscribers!!! Very informative information this week, thank you!! Probably the most beneficial bit was the fact you can walk around anytime of day and night and feel safe. Gender gap report is kind a struggle for Japan, but it’s getting better... right! Wondering if you have scene any Japan Olympic paraphernalia? Or anything interesting about the Olympics. I was supposed to travel to the Olympics in 2020 with my kids. Unfortunately we will not be able to travel to Japan till travel bans are lifted. Great info today Allison... 🤩
Thank you!! Yes, most neighborhoods and times I feel quite safe! Of course there are some where I don’t, but for such a huge city it’s pretty safe 🙏 Actually I think I saw more Olympic stuff before 2020 😂 I still see some, but there’s way less and nobody is really pushing to sell it now Hope you can visit next year!!!
”Ehkä söpö” means ”maybe cute” in finnish!! I was so surprised to see that, I had no idea there was a clothing brand with a finnish name in japan :)) The blouse definitely suits the name tho it’s very cute, it gave me a familiar feeling because many finnish women also dress in a similar way
Congratulations on so many subscribers! Gosh, I blinked and your subs shot right up. I think I subbed at about 300? I love your videos and I'm glad you're gaining subscribers!

Hi Allison, just stumbled across your channel and subscribed because I'm considering heading to Tokyo for grad school too. Just curious to know if you did the EJU exam or did you just do the GRE exam? Thanks!
Did you do undergrad in the US? Also, I’d love to see video about how to apply to a Japanese graduate program! Did you have to contact a professor to advise your research?
Congrats on 1000 subscribers!! I'm currently binging all your videos uwu. On another topic, do you think you would be comfortable talking about the women's rights issues you've dealt with/observed in Japan in a future video? o:
Idk if you’ll see this b7t I’m graduating college soon. I’ll be about 25 (five years in college due to one shutting down and the other didn’t work out) but my boyfriend will be graduating abiut 2 yrs after me because he is in engineering. My question is since I’ll be in my mid/late 20s would I still be eligible for the jet program?
i am a lonely pensioner travelling to japan next month ... where do you think is the best place to get nanpa'd or chikan'd please? 🤣🤣🤣 love all your videos ... all much appreciated!!!

Hi Allison, just stumbled across your channel and subscribed because I'm considering heading to Tokyo for grad school too. Just curious to know if you did the EJU exam or did you just do the GRE exam? Thanks!
Just GRE! :) EJU is mostly for programs in Japanese I believe, but my program is taught in English
Did you do undergrad in the US? Also, I’d love to see video about how to apply to a Japanese graduate program! Did you have to contact a professor to advise your research?
I did! I have a video about my application to my university if you’re interested in that!! I want to do a bigger Q&A video about it one day!
Congrats on 1000 subscribers!! I'm currently binging all your videos uwu. On another topic, do you think you would be comfortable talking about the women's rights issues you've dealt with/observed in Japan in a future video? o:
thank you!!! maybe one day 😳 that’s a difficult topic for sure but an important one 😭
as a female wanting to move to japan, it would be an awesome topic to know about!
How are universities in Japan right now? They don't seem as crazy as many in the US and Europe. I miss simpler times 😢
Well they’re still basically all online 😂😂 other than that...I guess it’s not crazy 😭
@@AllisoninTokyo In that case I hope you get to go back campus again soon 😀
Hi,
