  • Throughout their marriage, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were enthusiastic patrons (and practitioners) of the art of watercolour painting. They formed a collection of thousands of watercolours, many illustrating scenes of their public and private lives.
To mark the bicentenary of the births of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and to accompany the touring exhibition 'Victoria and Albert: Our Lives in Watercolour,' the Royal Collection Trust has created a facsimile of one of their treasured 'View Albums'. This was a collaborative project between the Print Room and the Royal Bindery, with apprentices from the Apprenticeship Scheme taking part.
Queen Victoria's 'Reminiscences' are being digitised as part of the Prince Albert Project and will be available online from summer 2019 - for more information visit www.rct.uk/prince-albert
