Great tip of freethrow shooting! "Shoot a freethrow before you shoot a freethrow." Beautiful. I have never heard that before, but it makes perfect sense. I also liked the part about not dwelling on your mistakes, JUST FLUSH THEM! You have got to allow yourself to make mistakes, then forgive yourself, and work on fixing the mistakes.

I am physically good at generally all the fundamental stuff (driving and finishing, shooting, passing, and dribbling) but in games I freeze up because as I process what’s going on I start thinking what will go wrong. (For example, I’m a PG / SG, and when I’m taking the ball up the floor or when I catch it, I look in the paint to drive but instead of thinking how I can finish I think that they’re gonna close in and I’m gonna get blocked or something.) It’s annoying and my coach says I need confidence to get more time but I can’t find it in myself. I can barely even dribble when I’m in, part of the reason I don’t play as well is because I’m worried he’s gonna pull me out and I won’t get any more time.
