I think that it's threefold. One, naming their daughter after the Queen Elizabeth's personal nickname was an " in your face
kind of move". They knew that they wouldn't have access to her nickname. It's something personal and private that was given to her by her late husband. It's also my opinion that because of all the speculation surrounding Archie and Lilibit's births that it's her way of making sure that her kids are taken care of by the British Royal Family. Yes, as an American I’m very surprised about the interview she did months ago however I’m still even more surprised that the media in the UK are is still stirring up the pot, adding gallons of fuel to the fire which so much bitterness, envy, strife, and confusion! No one in America is still talking about this people! It’s old news! Haven’t you noticed even the Queen has moved on from it!
