Can you now mount a 360mm radiator up top without getting a third party offset bracket that I see some builds have needed? Because the fans seem to get in the way of the ram on some Mobo's
i need this but i can ONLY put it in the left side of my desk...that faces a wall..nso that means that I can't see the tempered glass. does this case allows you to completely revert it from left to right side?
The newer EVO version released in 2022 is reversible so you cam have in on the left side of your desk. There's also the most recent EVO XL from late 2023 that also can be reversed.
Got one. If you allow a suggestion, the plastic legs should be 4 separate blocks, instead of 2 front and back bridges, and possible be a bit taller, and allow to be substituted with wheels without drilling additional holes in the bottom metal sheet. Replacing the 2 bridge-legs with 4 block-legs would allow a better air circulation and easier access to clear the bottom filter (which collects the most dust), as well as making the case more stable, and I think I don't need to mention the advantage of having wheels (at least in the back) when you pack 40 kg of iron in such small space (for cleaning under it, moving it, etc, the wheels won't need to be part of the package, anybody can buy its own from hardware store, they have all kinds, and cheap, but with the current holes positions, one needs to drill at least 4 or 6 additional holes to put wheels to the case)
I really like the new O11 Dynamic. Good work Lian Li and Roman! But I am a little more interested in the O11 Air, which was also shown at CES. When will it be released?
i want to add fans on the "side" of the tower , infront of the "side" radiator slot - to increase the air flow - from inside to outside. sadly there are no options added by default - what would you recommend how to fixate them infront of the two air slits (alu side panel)?
what is the Difference between the two Dynamic's pc-o11-dynamic and pc-o11-dynamic-razer-edition are the New Updates Features in the Razer one? LIke the LED but want the new features mentioned int his video
I wonder if I can mount an optical drive on the backside of the case somewhere. Am I missing where I could mount one? I know it is going for sleek, but I have some programs that I would like to use a DVD for. I guess I could get an external optical drive if needed later.
Is there a riser solution for a second PCI-E graphics card (xfire/sli configuration) where the two pci-E slots are close together and there is no room for the first card to take air in?
About DER8AUER and his big brother, The first awesome PC i built for someone was with a PC-7 (but black with the window) way back in the day. Had a Athlon 64 X2 and a whopping 2GB with a in 2005? either way, it was still kicking until a few years ago, replaced the PSU and Hard drive a few times lol and even caps on the motherboard but the motherboard had enough about 4 years ago. Still has the case ;-P it's too pretty Personally I was too cheap to get a Lian-Li case LOL. But I finally got one 7 years ago and got the PC-7H (black with window). The window was mounted externally, IMO it was an eyesore to a beautiful case but i saw i could easily fix it to just mount it inside. To mount it from the inside so it was flush and didn't contrast with the black screws (bolts, but there small so idk lol) i had to drill out the holes to make them just a bit larger, forgot why.. but i don't feel like taking the side panel off the PC 15 inches away from me right now :-P Then i used sound deadening for cars (because it's very thin) to line the inside of the case because i noticed the aluminum really like to pass sound through it and bounce it around. The next thing i did (which i did to all my computers) was to take off the flat 2D air filters that always let tons of dust though that clog up in weeks and put a grill so i could mount 1 inch thick directional HVAC filter i cut out on top so the fiberglass doesn't get sucked into the fan. This by FAR filters much better and holds TONS more dust and all while flowing more are. Only dusted the inside once in the last 7 years, even then it was a very light dust that came off very easy with a can of air and i usually use a compressor i have in my garage for other peoples computers.
Unfortunately cases are going this way. I built a painted color matching external case from balsa wood to wrap around an internal bluray drive, and have it sitting next to case. My Thermaltake P11 case is open side
I own a OD 11 Dynamic XL ROG whatever. Is got very big issues. 1. Grills are adding noise and decrease fan efficiency, I have 5-7C less on my GPU just by cutting rear fan grill. So how on earth 2:00 you guys improve the cooling with this grills? This type of grills are known already to add noise and reduce airflow because are very similar with slats grills tested by Puget Systems in 2011. Not to say that by just first look is more metal than gaps. 2. Glass side panel is to close to side exhaust of the GPU and hot air is recirculated by the GPU fans. Is enough motive that this cases should have been recalled. My GPU has only 280W TDP , imagine over 400W TDP GPU in the normal horizontal position. If Lian Li planned to design such narrow main chamber than I see that as "encouragement" for people to spend money in Lian Li store for vertical GPU bracket and riser cable. They knew that fitting a GPU in horizontal position will result high temps because of the side panel being to close so people will start buying brackets and riser cables Lian Li? Premeditated. Cheap prebuilt case dimensions really, I mean 170mm we are in year 2000 Lian Li??? XL case narrow as 170mm?!?!?!?!?) 3. Support for 140mm fans on the side and rear doesn't exist. I expect support for 140mm fans in 200$ price range case. Shouldn't be there Lian Li 4. Grill on the bottom of the case is just adding cost, noise and reduce the airflow and is total pointless
Hey guy I have a question since u the one that design this case, can I use the vertical card holder with 3 120mm fans on the bottom will it fit without no issue s and can i raise it the card a little higher than normal to the highest slot?

Don't want any fans with the case. They are always complete scheit and start screeching after just a few years use. First thing I do is throw away any fans that come with the case and install proper ones that will actually work, and work well for many years to come.
exactly what i thought. Thats why im not getting it. The "Holes" for the GPU-Bottom Side are a big Joke. They look bigger on the AIR Version. Or even better: Go with the Fractal Design Torrent.
Wonder how airflow from the bottom works. Didn't see any real holes or decent mesh filter there. Inability to draw cool air from the bottom of the case is the achilles heel of almost all air cooled cases on the market today. Remember the hottest component in the case is the GPU, not the CPU. It sits near the bottom and doesn't get cool air onto it's surface unless the case allows for bottom fans. Most cases on the market won't allow bottom fans and they cause a massive hotspot around the GPU and components around the lower part of the motherboard.
Just bought one of these cases, the white one and it looks gorgious. However, there a some caveeats. The nr.1 problem i have with this case is the support for 2.5 adn 3.5inch sdd/hdd drives. 1. the space left for attaching cables to the drives is horrible, you really have to sqeeze them in. Why not that few extra mm for easier attachment? and yes, that goes both for the two removable parts at the botton as for the attachment on the plate at the back. The two parts at the bottom are also too close to the edge of the motherboard, meaning you have a hard time to attach the cables nicely. Again, too compact. Solution is so simple, put the parts a little futher towards the glasses! All those suggested improvements comes at no cost, so it is actually a no brainer. Too bad Lian Li did nto figured this one out. 2. When you have attached drives to the backplate and the cables and put that back with the three screws, it looks nice. BUT! Hope you never get a loose cable, while there is NO way to push it back properly, without unscewing that plate, get it out and do what you want to do. And then ofcourse, put it back again with the three screws. Horrible! 3. Lost space! As i see it, there is more then enough room for extra 2.5incg drives in the top, above the 3.5inch bays. Shame Lian Li left it empty. It would be a better place for drives then that inconvinient side plate thing. Still love the case, and the looks. But the storage department is so so if not bad.
Really missed a trick with that rear HDD/SSD cage/caddy. It would have been a really nice touch to have it properly 'Hot swappable', I mean, it has a nice access dorr etc, but for what? It looks like you'll have to mess/struggle with cables like a typical caddy that isn't nicely placed behind a door.
I had to remove the side panel completely. My MSI 2080 Ti Lightning Z was to close to the glass panel where the top of the card was blowing hot air out, which resulted in hitting the glass and bouncing it back to the card again and making it overheat. 85° with panel. 70° without panel. Full load.
THE ONLY WAY to make this case any better is improve the vertical riser and make it more robust and sturdy so when the case is laid on its side you could do liquid metal on cpu and gpu and have no chance of leak out or mobo pcb sag essentially horizontal original pc cases were best where motherboards laid flat because towers over time especially with waterblocks attached the pcb can develop stress fractures and also it would be nice if when laid on its side the bottom was still easily accessible and the whole computer was on a stand of some kind to allow access to the drives etc underneath while in operation and maybe some external mounts for vertical res that would sit above the case and collect air bubbles so your nice laing d5 carbon bearings dont cavitate causing the ceramic axel to bore into the carbon bearing............
It looks from this video that the most efficient airflow is 3 INtakes BOTTOM, ... 3 out UP (put watercool here) and 3 out on SIDE? Isn't that to weak air intake and too much air going out ? Intake should always be more than air going out for good airflow....isn't ???!
@@jace7826 well if you are putting 9 fans in a case then it's better to exhaust from the side and intake cool air from top and bottom so that your GPU, cpu and vrm's are receiving cool air and then the hot air getting exhausted from the sides.
@@universemaster100 Intersting. In mine I got by far my lowest temps with my 360 aio on the side as intake, 3 fans bottom intake, and 3 fans top exhaust.
