    Tommy used several of the old time tunings on his fiddle but yes, this tune is in cross-tuned A.

    It is AEAE for sure. I have Brad Leftwich's old time fiddle book and he explains the tuning and where Tommy learned it.

      Tim Bladon it’s in A either tunes up a whole step or capo at the second fret
