How come everyone seems to think the gondola is on the island?? All the youtube videos I’ve seen of people talking about separate ways say it’s been moved that’s incorrect through the story the comms tower has been moved from the island to the village and is now accessible via the gondola ada leaves the island and goes back to the village for the gondola and laser hallway sections and then wesker contacts her informing her he placed a jet ski near the village as a way for ada to get back to the island after completing the comms tower and also explain how the jet ski got to the island if ada showed up in the boat with Leon
Thanks I had an idea that was it, but hadn’t had a chance to try that strat for myself. Doesnt do much damage so id honestly rather take the hit than put myself right next to saddler on the alter to potentially take a harder hit
@@TeryonTheHuman yeah i understand! what I do is I lure him away from the altar and then run towards it and snipe the heck out of him. He's slow granted he doesn't use his forward rush. If he comes too close and uses tentacle melee attacks/fires at you, just duck and use the altar for cover and just juke around it. Rinse repeat... also you can stay near the altar so you can run up to it immediately when you see him prepping that wave attack 😄 have fun replaying! This dlc has a ton of replay value. Very well paced albeit linear and no section felt like a demotivating slogfest.
One thing to mention is that the dlc is as same as re 3 r or even longer than it, which was surprising since the re7 dlcs were one hour or two and costed more
Reminder: the original separate ways was only free if you got the right version of the game, if you bought re4 for gamecube, you couldn't play seperate ways, you would've had to buy the same game on a whole different console
Kind if an irrelevant point. Nobody told or asked OG gamecube players, of which I was one, to go out and buy a whole new console and copy. They do that of their own free will and if they were dumb enough to do that for 2 hour mini campaign, that’s their own fault. Old rereleases on other consoles in the ps2 and ps3 eras did this all the time to do something special for platforms who had to wait. RE4 : Seperate Ways is just a more notable example. Doesn’t make it any less free considering the base price was still the same on each platform
@@TeryonTheHuman just saying that if you got re4 at launch back then and you wanted to play separate ways, you would've had to buy the game again just to do that, so people really should stop complaining about the $10 price for what a 6 hour campaign?
@@TeryonTheHuman I bought the end of zoe for a similar price and that was a much shorter experience, seeing this just convinces me that no matter what Capcom did it would be met with criticism, I don't understand why people like complaining so much, I've seen countless people blinded by nostalgia say that this game is a soulless cashgrab that isn't worth anyone's time
@@cookiesnugglez7318 i think it’s all a matter of reference point. OG seperate ways is like 2 hours, and mostly a quick asset flip of the base game so before the dlc came out i could completely understand why that would annoy people because nobody had seen just how improved or long it would be. But playing the new one is about the length of a old school resident evil campaign so it’s much longer and alot of good work is done so complaining at this point is just entitlement. We’re about 20 years too late to be trying to whine about dlc and shit.
Naaah, it’s up there but some of resident evil 7s dlc is insane. Try and beat Ethan must die then Joe must die. Escaping a room finding clues and materials to get out. That dlc helped me play re7 the most since re5.
No weapons no combat, all of that shit was mostly boring in re7’s dlc. The only ones worth anything were not a hero which was free, and the end of zoe which was just mike tyson’s punch out. None of which hold any sort of candle to this dlc.

I played it and didn't even notice we went back to the village. I thought once the island started we were there for the remainder. Good catch
You can avoid that wave by staying and going up near the altar 😃

Re3 was always short. I’ll talk about it when i get to it but re3 was always short as shit
The team that made RE3 made this dlc too. Now we know what they can do I don't blame them for how short 3 was it must have been budget or something.

8:35 I don't think Wesker was applying something to himself, I think he took a blood sample from Ada.
Definitely looks like the serum he needs to stay stable to me
That would be typical for Wesker but I think what is more typical and accurate is that's his dosage we see him taking throughout 5.
If the regenerator part.
1st fr🎉
