There is no official whatsApp API. So whatever you use (paid or not) might not work in a few months and there's nothing you can do about it.

I'm confused, when I scan the QR Code it uses a Twilio phone number. But what I thought it would happen was to register a phone number (I have one specific to only receive whatsapp messages that the bot can answer) that would receive messages from anyone else. Is there any way I can do that with this system?

Really useful video thank you - I've managed to get the bot working through WhatsApp but it doesn't incorporate the assistant image / fonts / welcome message from vector shift. When messaging the bot on WhatsApp it just shows up as Twilio with the Twilio icon - how do I fix this?
