Make a Hybrid build with Muramana, Infinity Edge, the New Mana Item with Burn, DeathCap, and Shadowflame, I think the hybrid ad/ap transitions over pretty well with the Q stacked. With Dark Harvest of course.

Edit: Tank Smolder was an abomination. Thankfully, they kept AP Smolder. It's more fun than AD :P

Okay somebody please help me. I know Zwag is the goat and can do whatever he wants but please tell me friends that Smolder is viable in mid lane
Depends on the matchup really, but it's not terrible. Suffers from the same issues as most ADCs when you try to play them mid. It is a short, safe lane that can allow you to farm and scale to the late game, but also you have no support to protect you and you might get ganked a lot being in the middle of the map.
U scale stacks of any ability that hits a champion, it’s Q only for minions on last hit. But poking with W, or Q and a quick fly by with E earns stacks. Along with any champion hit with ur ULT is 1 stack per champ

Nice smolder game. I like doing riftmaker last item on AP smolder. They roast. Free 10% more dmg
His abilities do magic damage as well from his passive stacks. So you can still get magic pen. Its not completely useless.
