alright so how about we discuss an important part. i always felt kinda weird about the way wade acted and this actually helped me connect the dots. he is straight up manipulative and i wish the writers went with that, and had him be a twist villain or something. it wouldnt align totally with "disney values" or the whole message theyre trying (and failing) to send with this film but it would make more sense and feel better.
honestly could’ve been great, Frozen is a prime example of that. Hans was such a plot twist character and people loved that movie. Could’ve been the same with Wade
I think, that, while he shouldn't have pressed her into it, sometimes you think you want something especially when you're young and want to make your parents happy, till you see new paths for you, you never thought were there before. I wanted to become a midwife and then realized, that that's not for me. My mom wanted to become one at some point and probably, something in me wanted to make her proud, but that's just not what I want.
Isn't the whole point that she _thought_ she wanted the job, but she only did because that's what her parents wanted? You can chase after something your whole life, only to realize that it isn't actually fulfilling to you once you have it. It happens.
For real. A new unique way of presenting the villain not as “taking over the world” evil but “manipulating everyday stuff” evil. Would make kids recognize that bad people in real life may not harm others physically, but mentally. Yeah, that friendly-looking average Joe doesn’t commit murder, but he manipulates and seeks control over his girlfriend.
AND it would be nice to have a Disney movie where the two MCs don't always end up together. Toxic relationships are a thing. This would be perfect rep of that.

@@kowhaifan1249 No, Hans isn't like that because there was NOTHING previous to the end that would even suggest he was going to kill her like this, it was also at the end, meanwhile the meeting with Wade's family wasn't. This'd be way, way more well built than Hans as we the audience actually see Wade and Ember interact because the entire movie is about them after all. It allows audiences to pick apart previous interactions, meanwhile Frozen didn't allow that at all. Hans got tangled in a boat with Anna, did a little bit of singing, literally went after Anna (which yeah you could say "oh he did it to kill her sister!" but he most definitely didn't need to do that, he could've just sent a squad and then once it warmed continued oceanic trade), and then out of no where tries to kill her.
@chaoticcow4357 honestly when me and my mum watched this movie it really seemed like he was genuinely just a complete idiot, I ain't seeing him acting manipulative he just seems to not think before he speaks/acts. At worst he is a inconsiderate buffoon.
I don’t see him as this innocent guy anymore but a threat, holy crap he doesn’t even look the same anymore, this is how people fall for bad people and we didn’t even resize were supporting it

Elemental: a sweet movie about peace between all races (at the end I think?) Theroists: NAH ITS TIME WE GET TO THEORISING NOW MANIPULATION IS IN THE MOVIE Disney and Pixar: here we go again
The movie clearly tries to depict an interracial, loving couple but MAN, they failed so damn bad that their story is perceived as a toxic manipulative one.
Personally I think this is just a case of the writers not knowing how to portray what they were trying to portray properly so it came across as manipulative whenever they meant for him to be genuine Not that I don't like a good dark theory
@@Amanecer458 I doubt that (Due to reasons I'm not getting into I'm not the most socially adept but I know basic enough emotions that I can tell that the film riders most likely just screwed up on writing the characters which happens a lot nowadays)
Another thing that made me feel weird about wade was him walking back to his office, completely chill and unbothered with the fact that he’s about to put a family business out despite balling his eyes out over it a few minutes ago
Dude, this theory is just *chefs kiss.* I never knew Wade from Elemental, the guy who spent the whole movie crying was the manipulative seagma male icon we all needed. What a legend.
Even while watching the movie I was questioning why Wayne wasn’t doing his job and the entire interruption of the ceromony. This theory makes sm sense.
The theorie is good, but I still think there are some things not right. (Disclaimer: this is not meant hateful, just some counterarguments... it got too long, I'm sorry...) 1. Wade writing the ticket. It could be a master plan... or his job? He also couldn't have just left it that way, because he needs that job and if it came out, he was there, and he didn't tell anyone about the violations, he'd have been in a lot of trouble. 2. Wade doesn't let Ember plead her case. Maybe he sabotaged, or, he saw the way she wanted to handle it and thought, maybe it would help if it were sincerer, if some very important and personal details were shared. Was it his place to share these details? No, but it probably worked for him most of the time, so he tried to help the way he is used to doing stuff like this. He also didn't know that Ember has an anger management issue. A point that can work for your theory, as just coincidentally, he was lucky she had it, or he didn't think, that she would react that way and still only had in mind to help. 3. The two passes and the way he happened to have left them at his workplace, where Ember happened to be. Chances are, they are a gift from Gale, so he could go too. They are a workplace gift and the second card would be for anyone he would like to take along or if he would like to see another game. He left them there, because he forgot them there and the game was that day, and she happened to be there. The reason he mentions it, is because he wants her to know, he's not stalking her... perhaps. 4. His impressing skills. That's just who he is. That's why he acted so weird at point two. He is sentimental and is deeply interested in people, because he knows that sometimes, it's hard to deal with emotions. I mean, he bursts at any given moment, he probably had his dark times because of it too. 5. He is the man of the plan. His job is literally this. He was the one inspecting the pipes and the leak the first time around, so who else is supposed to make a plan. Ember? Perhaps Gale, but the whole point was, that they are supposed to fix the issue, not her. 6. First one to spot the hole? He was the one paying the most attention at the moment they flew over it. 7. The one with "punched in the face by beauty" could hint at him not wanting it to be fixed, or he is actually in awe of it, the only evidence against it, I could bring, is, that it only works for people watching it in English, but what is that supposed to say? The original is English. 8. The part where he is inviting her up. What else should he have done, instead of invite her up? The call was still going to come, and he didn't know when that would be. He could have left her outside, but that's, in my opinion, worse than invite her up. He also didn't pressure her, he told her, his family is there, would she like to wait with him on the call upstairs for the time being and she agreed. He didn't put her worries aside in a neglectful way, but just tried to make her comfortable and worry less for the time it might still take till the call would come, and he didn't just surprise her with his family, he warned her beforehand. 9. The face is also a bit taken without further context. Perhaps it was, how you said, him realizing now there is an end to it. Actually, though, that look on his face was there as the call started and was the same one Ember had. It was worry about what Gale would say and that kept on, because she sounded unhappy first about the glass. His expression immediately changed after the phone called ended, and he was happy with Ember, that they had made it. I actually can relate to this, because that's how I feel after a good phone call. 10. There is context missing towards him coming along her, when she leaves. For some reason, she sees an opportunity that was given to her as something bad, while talking about it in a good way and instead of explaining why she feels that way, she tries to run from the argument and from her emotions, and he wanted to get behind it. That led to her actually saying out loud, that she realizes now, that she doesn't want to work in the shop. It's been something that was expected from her, or that's how she felt. Her father always wanted her to keep up the work in the shop, and she never questioned it, since it seemed like the only option to her, but it's not. She's seen it. 11. I would agree with your point with: it's Embers flame and so on, but actually, he did use his own fire. He did use her light, but it was prism heat that was used. He could have used any light, hers was close and made much more sense, since it was about them. 12. Love bombing. Again, not much proof. The movie isn't able to be long enough to actually show them outside when they meet up. The reason we don't see him work, the reason we see Ember work more, is because the main focus is on her and then what's between her and Wade. Also, that's how dates work, you meet up, and you try to see if you work with each other and that includes giving the other attention and love. 13. If he were the gaslighting type of guy, he would have done that all along, he left her to her opinions and the way he flipped there, wasn't him insulting her, it's him frustrated, that she is so easy to throw anything away that is good for her, because she is scared to disappoint her dad. He is also not gaslighting her into quitting, especially not "the entire movie". It was her who confessed that she doesn't even want to work there for the rest of her life. I would get if you were to say, he is gaslighting her into working on the job his mom suggested, but not even that is the truth. He is not wanting her to quit because it what was suggested, but because it's what she wants to do. 14. The passive aggressiveness is confusing. 15. The glass cracking could be Wade, or it's more of a symbol of her emotions getting fragile and then they burst. but idk
That was very interesting and fun to read. I know i shouldn’t praise you for that under my theory video but taking the time to do that and providing pretty much a whole other theory is really awesome! Thank you for watching and sharing that , I cant lie i agree with some points but as the theory maker I can’t say which ones..
@@maximoesco I have to thank you, for reading it and for the interesting theory, even if I don't necessarily agree with it. You're doing great, keep it up!
7:27 BRO THIS BROKE IT FOR ME, yes I have been agreeing with you the whole video, but THIS PART MADE ME SO CONVINCED. Either Wade was written by a manipulative person, or he just IS manipulative. Like wow.. Tbh makes me wanna fully watch the movie.
After I watched this movie, I was like ”Oh my gosh, what a fantastic true love story, they’re ment to date”, and when I saw the title of the video I was like ”What the heck?!”, but after I watched this… Wade, you jerk.
YESSSSSS finally someone else sees it!!! i hated him so much making her choose between her childhood dream and him, like yeah, she's good at glass making but she didn't show interest in it ONCE before she met wade, and then all of a sudden he's pushing glass making down her throat? like he deadass starts manipulating her saying: i know what's best for you and this is what you want, let me save you and take you with my people. He gave white saviour complex the whole movieee
When the writing is so mid people start making a theory out of it💀 Jokes aside, this theory actually makes sense. Idk if it’s because I just didn’t like Wade from the start or nah, but either way it’s pretty good, so props to you!
That's crazy af. Instead of letting everything happen on its own and just helping out of the kindness of his heart, he basically manipulated every situation. Obv that's not true in the movie, but in real life this would definitely be suspicious behavior 😭
The only nitpick with your theory I have is that matchmaking scene. If the similar dna can cause the flames to loop, then there is a high chance that embers mother was actually finding incest relationships. I would rather think it was emotional, because the other option is really unsettling.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who seen some of this but 70% what you said also blew my mind lol, Also keep up the great work bro, absolutely loving your content!!!
@2u29wjiowk2iswjSiblings share about 50% of the same DNA, inherited from their parents. Identical twins share almost 100% of the same DNA. I meant that if it works for two strangers, then it would also work for siblings, based on what he said.
I was rewatching the movie with this in mind, and I just noticed that Wade knows Ember's name before she tells him? Like when you pointed out how she didn't get to properly plead her case, Wade makes her burst by saying "But the main thing is that if her father can’t retire, it will all be Ember’s f-“ WHICH I looked all over the movie, but there isn't really a sign for him to have picked up her name beforehand? I doubt he would've been to firetown before, and this only supports the theory that this wasn't a truly 'accidental' meeting. It seemed he knew exactly what to do. Ember didn't know his name, but he did. Maybe Wade's known about Ember long before the events of the movie.. and it's sort of disturbing to thing about. Manipulation, and possibly stalking.
i don’t think this theory works if you put it into context, the last thing for example is she says she loves him then boom he comes back and he’s perfectly fine, he didn’t know he could just come back, he came back bc what she was saying was making him cry, at this point the whole family knows he has to cry to come back so a whole lot is said to make him keep crying so he keeps dripping from the walls, he wasn’t just boom bang back like it was his own choice
and he was only angry because he knew what she wanted, that might sound strange but even the audience knew what she truly wanted and she never wanted to work in the shop forever, he’s frustrated like the audience because she’s not being true to herself she won’t admit the truth to herself and he knows that’ll lead to her living a life for her father rather than living a life for yourself and that stresses him out because he loves her and wants her to do what she knows is best for herself
Ok, but Wade died for her. He evaporated himself not knowing that he would survive it. I feel like a true manipulator would've dipped once the situation was no longer in their own best interest, but Wade stayed with her till the end, because he (and I can't stress this enough) literally DIED (albeit temporarily) to save her and her family airlume
Maybe he started off manipulative and fell for her by the end? Idk that’s the only thing I can think of that fits the theory Edit: Wade was still there enough for her to make him cry. Maybe if Ember didn’t/couldn’t save him, he might’ve been able to make himself cry, and “reform” that way
That's what manipulators do. He knew he would survive. He's water. They do things to make you like them. Water can't die and no way he didn’t know that. How do you think cloud people exist?
@@anonymousanon1129I mean, he was(and still is) scared of sponges, so theoretically he could also be scared of the pores in the walls. Although I guess you can view it as he views manipulating her in the future as more important than his fears, or something else
Like the idea that it started as manipulation, but also he thought he would die for good at the end. I don’t think he planned that OR the glass breaking. I’m pretty sure he planned up until Ember’s “coronation,” then went from there.
Bro, I literally thought the same thing about Wade. In the Amber family party, I though wow this dude is really egoistic. You have to ruin all the relationships Amber has for your stupid love. And before in the scene out of the train, Wade said Amber was a coward wow that was backstabbing.
I watched this movie 74 times and never really thought of this, although I did question some things like Wade not letting Ember really give her case, or Wade having 2 tickets for an un-explained reason, though my best explanation for that is just he got the tickets to go with someone, maybe family, or a friend, but then they cancelled, and although one could argue he could've just given the ticket to Gale, I don't think that makes much sense because we don't know when Gale bought her ticket, so I think using Wade randomly having 2 tickets as evidence is a bit of a stretch but I could see how that could definitely support your argument, and there is a lot of other, better evidence in this video than "Oh, he has 2 tickets." Another argument I think could be explained away is Wade giving the shop a ticket. Wade says during the crying scene that he needs this job and he's lost so many, so he could be trying to do his job well so he can keep it, there's never any context for the state of his job.
I thought I was crazy for absolutely HATING Wade by the end of the movie, I just had this gut feeling that something was wrong. I'm so glad someone else gets it.
Wats crazy is that when ember and wade first met in the basement they never introduce themselves so it doesn't make sense on how wade knows embers name when he was confronting that tree guy about her issues
4:04 wait is the whole crew waterfolk? Are they not like able to just squeeze out of the gap in the cement? We know that all the elements can shape shift so how are they stuck?
@@NightmareRex6 I can understand the sponge, but like they are not fully turned into concrete so they should be able to shapeshift out, it is shown later that they can split their bodies apart for Wade delivers himself in 5 separate vases, so they don't need every part of their being to live it just be more convenient for them to have all of it.
This movie is full of those plot wholes, fire people can control their flames, but suddenly they can't, water people can control the water around them, but they can't when it's most needed, etc.
This may not be intentional and the character is a self-insert of someone working on the script accidentally leaking what they do in relationships, which is even worse.
While I’m not sure about this theory, there is a lot of evidence that does work for it overall. It does not fully explain Wade being willing to die for Amber unless you argue he knew he would just evaporate ahead of time.
To be fair, its a bit ridiculous to think no water person has ever evaporated before Wade. He probably heard tales of it happening before (because in this world water people are a separate race and probably have their own cultures and tales). He probably know about water adaptability because what happens to him in winter?
Nah, in the movie they make it clear that Wade comes from a privileged rich family thats full of love and openess of expression so his view of the world its very different from Amber's. He is very vulnerable from their first meeting and is not ashamed of anything he feels and wants so he goes after it and constantly pushes her to do the same, with his mistake being that he didnt take into account that her culture and life and family is so different from him. Its comes off as selfish because he is ignorant and too much of a optimist dreamer. He is not exactly manipulative, just a privileged man in his own bubble. But he learns and listens and learns even more for her eventually.
I dub this a better name, Yandere Wade theory. It make the logistics of the true love scene irrelevant, as Wade falling in love with her would be the thing kicking off all this, so the candles would show them in love with each other either way.
oh, that explains why there was something about him that bugged me the whole , movie. It does makes me recal my EX to be honest. Of course the most emotional person, would know all about how to make others feel the way they want.
It makes me wonder. With this level of detail it just seems so intentional by the writers. Like you said they almost wrote the theory for you. But what is this movie trying to say? The manipulative parts, while obvious when you highlight it, were too obscured for young, inexperienced audiences to pick up on and it was displayed as a happy ending love story. So young people might just end up thinking that this is what a healthy relationship looks like.
Y’all really think Wade was manipulative??? He was compassionate…and sweet. He was just getting to know her and understand her better, and help her better understand herself. Because it’s clear from the beginning of the film, Ember taking over the shop was never going to be her goal. It’s what her father wants, not what she wants for herself. She doesn’t honestly know what she wants, cause she never thought about herself. The moment Wade and Ember meet he does nothing but try to help her, while Ember self sabotages her self throughout the film. She keeps bottling up her emotions, which does nothing but have her explode left and right, which proves to be an issue. Any time Ember becomes remotely vulnerable new doors open up for her !!! But the moment she reverts back to bottling up her emotions, she goes back to being explosive. If she was just open and vulnerable, half the things that happened in the film would not have happened. She wants people to help her father and hear her out but won’t give a single reason as to why. It’s not like she wasn’t given the opportunities to speak for herself, but all she says that’s it’s important to her father…not once does she say why…she never goes into detail(though we know why it’s sooo important, not everyone else does). The moment she finally is being truthful to herself, open and vulnerable, to herself, her father, and everyone else around her, that’s when she is at peace !!! That’s when she was able to think straight and ask herself what does SHE want for HERSELF. Did Wade open her eyes to that, yes he did, but he certainly did not manipulate her. He was a voice of reason, he has no issue being vulnerable and open, that’s how he was raised to be. BUT Ember wasn’t, she was born into a family where they started over in a new place and built what they had from the ground up and put all their hopes and dreams into that shop and their daughter, unintentionally causing her some trauma 😅 making her believe all her life that owning the shop was her dream when in fact it was not, never was.
Any ways, Wade is definitely NOT manipulative, he is quite supportive of Ember. I do think you are over analyzing quite a bit, there’s nothing wrong w/ just being a nice guy 👍🏽✨ which he is just that. A nice guy who met a hot headed girl who just needed to be vulnerable for once in her life. It can be as surface level as that. Now her familial trauma, that’s deeper than surface level, clearly.
Seems like creators of this movie either wrote from their experience (unaware of true implications), or revealed their true manipulative nature without even acknowledging it. Either way, the state of modern western culture is quite sad.
You know, I think this theory actually improves the movie. The "racism against immigrants" narrative fell really flat for me since, unlike in real life, if an immigrant touches me, I don't have a chance of suddenly bursting into flames or having my house burn down. These are physical things that are literally a part of them that are dangerous for others and they can't change them.
I have a theory he must've seen amber before when he was inspecting and went exactly near where her shop/home was located near/at and when the waves or water hit him he made a genius story to convince amber
What I honestly didn’t like was how Wade basically confessed during the crying game. Like he could’ve picked a better place and time but noooope he decided to confess when playing a game where you’re tryna make each other cry (in which he succeeded). And than goes to confess in a clearer way when Ember is having her ceremony AND assume she loved him back..obviously in the movie she did but I just didn’t like that at all. The scene really pissed me off and made me cringe
I suspect he was maybe stalking her and was in the pipes to listen in on her to learn more about her, but when she explodes he is exposed and has the city inspector job so when he is found he can use that to manipulate her. He is very emotional so he woudnt be the type to potentially get shops and FAMILY shops closed, so as a back up to when is is found out he can write a ticket to do all this
Why wouldn’t he like not gonna lie no offense to any men who isn’t this ,but any guy will try to do anything to get the girl, thing ,money cash, order well. The list goes on if he wants this away he’ll figure out a way. That’s just how toxic some people will be, there’s no confirmation from the writers or creators, but I kind of feel like they were putting this message in🧐😞
omg I HATED the way he love bombed on her when she was finally getting the store. The audacity he had to say “I know you love me too” is outstanding. I knew something was off about him when I watched it, I realized it was because I’ve been in that same situation before but I couldn’t pin point it.
Very interesting theory. Literally the only thing that makes it crumble is the simple and obvious fact that the creator of the film literally said it's based on him and his wife's love story. Edit: I should probably say I don't mean this as a disd. I say it's obvious but it's obvious to those who know. But in case nobody else out there even knows this, but this is literally based on the original creators experience with his wife and his parents. The original creator, which is a man, basically wrote Ember and put a little bit of himself within it while also wanting to make this creative stories based on elements. Meaning his wife with a basically been in water dudes place. I'm already forgetting this name. I will say that this feels like the equivalent of a film theory from matpat. Again I don't need this as a diss. The theory was an absolute flop or just straight up wrong. Because I'm not going to lie, I can just enjoy a good theory even though I know there's no merit to it. But, just knowing why it was created I know for a fact there's no merit to this.
i knew i felt something off about this movie. thank you for pointing it out lol. though i wished they'd show more of the world in the movie, but it was ok anyway.

i always felt kinda weird about the way wade acted and this actually helped me connect the dots. he is straight up manipulative and i wish the writers went with that, and had him be a twist villain or something. it wouldnt align totally with "disney values" or the whole message theyre trying (and failing) to send with this film but it would make more sense and feel better.
honestly could’ve been great, Frozen is a prime example of that. Hans was such a plot twist character and people loved that movie. Could’ve been the same with Wade

@@maximoesco Hans was really badly written in that movie.
wow that detail of his face looking disappointed then quickly putting on a facade after the phone call bit was very nicely caught!
I dunno, I think it's clearly to tease Ember, make it seem like Gale declined at first but his smile gives the good news away
one thing i hate about water guy is how he tells her to quits his job, even though she always wanted her job
i know right, in the beginning of the movie she REALLY wanted to own the shop.
You are correct but Wade is raise from a rich family and he could quit his job and not care which thats where he differ from Ember
Isn't the whole point that she _thought_ she wanted the job, but she only did because that's what her parents wanted? You can chase after something your whole life, only to realize that it isn't actually fulfilling to you once you have it. It happens.
@@lasercraft32 Yes that's the point.
If they made him a twist villain this would probably be the first good Disney twist villain in years
It’s true!

Even while watching the movie I was questioning why Wayne wasn’t doing his job and the entire interruption of the ceromony. This theory makes sm sense.
The theorie is good, but I still think there are some things not right. (Disclaimer: this is not meant hateful, just some counterarguments... it got too long, I'm sorry...)
With every theory there’s always gonna be a counter argument and I don’t think thats hateful (I appreciate you clarifying that as well) Beside that though you countered most every single point pretty well. He gave white saviour complex the whole movieee
When the writing is so mid people start making a theory out of it💀
Jokes aside, this theory actually makes sense.
What's even scarier is how subtle it is. I didn't pick any of the signs when I watched it.
The only nitpick with your theory I have is that matchmaking scene.
If the similar dna can cause the flames to loop, then there is a high chance that embers mother was actually finding incest relationships.
I would rather think it was emotional, because the other option is really unsettling.

@2u29wjiowk2iswjSiblings share about 50% of the same DNA, inherited from their parents. Identical twins share almost 100% of the same DNA. I meant that if it works for two strangers, then it would also work for siblings, based on what he said.
@2u29wjiowk2iswjI think it’s reflecting her self love
I think you're onto something here with the stalking
Wade cry because of what happened to his father and the first thing he sees is a photo of a happy family
You’re right
It’s true, but less fun😂
I thought the love ritual was suspicious due to the fact that Wade uses Ember’s flame.
i don’t think this theory works if you put it into context, the last thing for example is she says she loves him then boom he comes back and he’s perfectly fine, he didn’t know he could just come back, he came back bc what she was saying was making him cry, at this point the whole family knows he has to cry to come back so a whole lot is said to make him keep crying so he keeps dripping from the walls, he wasn’t just boom bang back like it was his own choice
and he was only angry because he knew what she wanted, that might sound strange but even the audience knew what she truly wanted and she never wanted to work in the shop forever, he’s frustrated like the audience because she’s not being true to herself she won’t admit the truth to herself and he knows that’ll lead to her living a life for her father rather than living a life for yourself and that stresses him out because he loves her and wants her to do what she knows is best for herself
Idk that’s the only thing I can think of that fits the theory
Edit: Wade was still there enough for her to make him cry.
…Ah
@@anonymousanon1129I mean, he was(and still is) scared of sponges, so theoretically he could also be scared of the pores in the walls.

6:26 Also I’m pretty sure that thing about “If the smoke swirls together it’s true love” is true it’s probably just a part of Fire culture or religion
Ngl you blew me with this one, like you got it back to back like I don’t see how he acts so crybaby then be so manipulative
…Do you mean 74 literally or are you just saying you watched it a lot?

plot convienence, maby something to do with concrete mixes with water? like how got stuck in sponge?
@@NightmareRex6 I can understand the sponge, but like they are not fully turned into concrete so they should be able to shapeshift out, it is shown later that they can split their bodies apart for Wade delivers himself in 5 separate vases, so they don't need every part of their being to live it just be more convenient for them to have all of it.
This movie is full of those plot wholes, fire people can control their flames, but suddenly they can't, water people can control the water around them, but they can't when it's most needed, etc.
This.... is a fantastic theory and i completely bought it having never thought of it before
This may not be intentional and the character is a self-insert of someone working on the script accidentally leaking what they do in relationships, which is even worse.
I bet more people watched this video than the actual movie
Clown.
I'm not much of a critical thinker, but thanks for the free movie summary
I dub this a better name, Yandere Wade theory. It make the logistics of the true love scene irrelevant, as Wade falling in love with her would be the thing kicking off all this, so the candles would show them in love with each other either way.
oh, that explains why there was something about him that bugged me the whole , movie. It does makes me recal my EX to be honest. Of course the most emotional person, would know all about how to make others feel the way they want.
this video was crazy to watch and im seeing it so clearly now
great theory dude
thanks so much paxet ! :D
So young people might just end up thinking that this is what a healthy relationship looks like.
maybe the women who worked on the movie wrote from their past romances and just didn't realize they got manipulated lol
Dude i am genuinely terrified of wade.
(agua)
Take it from me...water can be very manipulative 😒
Seems like creators of this movie either wrote from their experience (unaware of true implications), or revealed their true manipulative nature without even acknowledging it. Either way, the state of modern western culture is quite sad.
Good theory to make up for terrible writing! Love stuff like this

I’m genuinely surprised and a bit scared by how well this theory works
wade is like so ew he literally has a savior complex
Bro, when I watched this movie I hated it because I couldn’t not see wade as a manipulator ToT
Im glad someone else sees it too 😂
You know, I think this theory actually improves the movie.
Man, the disney writers really screwed it up this time...
This entire theory slides in like butter to a hot pan and that is extremely terrifying.
You're not overthinking. You're right.

Am I the only one completely confused on how these points were made?? Did we watch the same Pixar film?!?!
5:02 the main thing that bothers me is that he said ember was freaked out, are we going to ignore that weird love-vision thing she had in her eye??
I just feel like there was a lot of slander of wade’s part which makes me a bit sad, I’m open for further convincing I just feel kinda lost
Nice pfp

I suspect he was maybe stalking her and was in the pipes to listen in on her to learn more about her, but when she explodes he is exposed and has the city inspector job so when he is found he can use that to manipulate her. He is very emotional so he woudnt be the type to potentially get shops and FAMILY shops closed, so as a back up to when is is found out he can write a ticket to do all this
On 9:00 you are overthinking why would he manipulate ember to fall in love with him after he just met her. And 516th comment.
Why wouldn’t he like not gonna lie no offense to any men who isn’t this ,but any guy will try to do anything to get the girl, thing ,money cash, order well. The list goes on if he wants this away he’ll figure out a way. That’s just how toxic some people will be, there’s no confirmation from the writers or creators, but I kind of feel like they were putting this message in🧐😞
4:24 IM SORRY BUT AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT OF MOIST CRITIKAL AT THIS MOMENT LMAO
LOLLL
You're on to something 😅
🤫
I literally won't ever see this movie The same way ever again after this😨
omg I HATED the way he love bombed on her when she was finally getting the store. The audacity he had to say “I know you love me too” is outstanding. I knew something was off about him when I watched it, I realized it was because I’ve been in that same situation before but I couldn’t pin point it.
The rich water Boy could of pay for it to be fixed but ig he didn't want to do that
All is fair in love and war
You mean all is fair in love and water😂
U R AN GENIUS AND A DETECTIVE
This is like that one theory matpat made about fifty shades of (some color)
But this time its about the love of two cartoonish characters
i knew i felt something off about this movie. thank you for pointing it out lol. though i wished they'd show more of the world in the movie, but it was ok anyway.
