I'm a singer and guitar player and percussion is not something that was ever on my radar. But these old rhythm instruments inspire me! Simple stuff that's different than the whole trap set thing. I've been messing with bones and washboard and my wife is not happy about the racket! But there's no turning back now! Thanks!

I really love the galloping feel of the bones aswell as its portability! They almost remind me of playing the spoons. Either way, its a beautiful sound

Yes - Very fluid and organic, yet precise at the same time.

THESE ARE SO DOPE!!! I remember like in old looney toons cartoons they would have these as the sound effect for skeletons shaking

Let’s not neglect the “musical spoons.” They’re just as much as a percussion instrument as the “bones.” 😉 🎶

A fascinating tutorial! I am going to buy a set of bones and practice. One question: Wouldn't it be a good idea if someone recorded a bones-player in super slow-motion? Perhaps you could figure out how the 'fine motor - skills' of bone playing really work ?

More of a history and instrument tour than a how to play lesson. Disappointing.
