Thanks for the summary. I am reading Valour but couldn't remember the specifics of Malice. Thanks again.

Great video man I read this book years ago when it first came out and then kind of forgot about it cuz I like to read whole series once well my wife bought me the whole series for Christmas so I started malice again plan on reading the whole series all the way through crazy thing is is I've read The Blood and Bone trilogy so I kind of know how it is but I had never read the original four books and I've read his other blood sworn books malice is definitely slow to start you can tell that it's his first book but it's a great combing of age story, great world building, good versus evil, good battle scenes book and his writing only gets better every book anyway Happy New Year

Just Finished Book 1, absolutely in love with it. From the revelations about certain characters origins in the end that made me love them just that much more to Storm and even Cywen who very quickly became one of my favorites towards the end of the book. Can't wait to read book 2 and watch more reviews on this channel.

Book 2 is awesome! I’m glad you loved Malice. John Gwynne is such a wonderful writer.

So I'm 80% through malice and this is an amazing book a lot of the old school tropes, and yes there's lots of characters just pay attention is all you have to do it all works as self out in the end we have to remember all stories have been regurgitated numerous times it's all about the way the Storyteller tells the story, I'm very attached to a couple of these characters and can't wait to find out what happens in the next book great video keep up the good content

The book had a map. I printed it 11x17 and tried to write kings/POVs other characters where they were on the map with lines showing relationships. Quickly ran out of space. Should have been 3 instead of 6 PoVs.
    But overall, worth the read.

I only read the first three chapters and DNF. I will pick it up at a later date. I know I probably won't like it and will have to hate read it.

I think we had similar feelings about Malice, however I was a Camlin fan. Corban was my least fave to follow which coincides with my "meh" feeling overall since it focuses on his story.
I recently finished the series. Hope you enjoy it!👍

Yeah Camlin and Gar are great. Corban is getting better for me. I have recently finished Valor and plan to review it soon, I should be starting Ruin next month. Corban almost felt similar to the character of Eragon in the Inheritance cycle. Valor for sure was a step up.

Yes, Valour was better for me also. I see why many people like Ruin best but I think I preferred Wrath (even though I felt the writing the clunkiest in it) - so in my opinion, if you like Valour, you'll like the series!
