I helped myself unknowingly twenty years ago when I went low carb for weight loss.
Few years after that I discovered passion for fermenting and natural living- my irritable bowel syndrome disappeared, my mental health improved , I wish people like you can go mainstream.

Not many people sign into youtube. Unless one has an account, they cannot comment and they cannot "like" the video. This might be the reason. This is an excellent interview

Wish we would have heard about GAPS & Isaac's story 4 years ago when our son overnight got hit like a lightning bolt with full onset OCD at the age of 12 & then after 2 & 1/2 years was diagnosed with PANS. We've spent 4 years working with Naturopaths & supplements which have not helped, only wasted thousands of $. Finally we can start working on the gut & restoring his microbiome by doing the 6 stages of GAPS with the guidance of a GAPS coach. Spread the message so that families with health issues don't have to live debilitating lives anymore. This message is a life saver!

So sorry to hear about your son, I hope he is doing better. It's such a heart-breaking thing to see kids going through this. And yes, the supplements and testing and appointments can be endless, expensive, and not do much... it all comes down to healing the gut, and the most powerful healers are medicinal food, rest, sunshine, reducing stress, detoxing the body... So thankful we found the answers quickly! All the best x

I am preparing to start the GAPS diet. I wish I had known about it back in 2007 when I got diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2, or even before that when I went to my gp with depression symptoms in 2003. I resisted going on medication because I was terrified of gaining weight, but when I got to the point where my mental health was so poor I thought I was about to lose my job, I acquiesced and started taking Seroquel. I was already on an antidepressant. Now I weigh 110lbs more than I did in 2008, and I feel sick and sluggish all the time. I still struggle with anxiety and depression, and now I also suffer from acid reflux, which I never had before I started taking zopiclone, a sleeping pill. Chronic use of proton pump inhibitors has resulted in loss of bone density, and I am still recovering from having badly broken my knee 9 months ago. My main goal in starting GAPS is to heal my acid reflux, but if I could come off of all my meds, or even reduce the dosages, I would be so grateful. I've struggled with anxiety and depression from as young as 7, and I'll be 47 in November.

Hi, I'm so sorry I just found this comment! How are you going on GAPS? I hope you have a good practitioner to help you through this journey, it can be difficult but don't give up, you'll be amazed at the difference when you take away the roadblocks to good health and feed your body the nutrients it needs to heal. x

I believe this diet is specified for certain people who suffer autism, leaky gut, and similar other problems. Everybody is different so it may not work for all of us.

You cells have to begin to metabolize fat more efficiently before you feel the energetic benefits trust me it’s worth it it takes roughly a month of nutritional ketosis.

@@m.taylor You also likely had die off at a fast rate. Which requires you to go slower if you are feeling those effects too strongly. Read Natasha's books before you embark on this diet so you can understand what is going on inside of you. Cut out all sugar, all gluten, and all packaged processed foods and that will go a long way towards healing your gut as a start...
