The Villa View was the first Villa content channel I found on RUclips and instantly loved the fancams and the various videos and have loved it ever since. With the 1874 Podcast it felt like The Villa View had grown up and left home to make its own way. The new iteration is really excellent as well. Hope it helps everyone involved get to wherever they want to go.

Good for you. At first I was devastated that the Villa View is over. But then, I think you’re right we do need to evolve. And I think one point really jumped out at me. It was a channel for a time when Villa didn’t have a voice. We were the little guy. Well, we’re on our way to being the big guy again. Time to adapt. 1874 graphics are incredible. Very nice to watch and a real cut above! It’s informative and in depth analysis from professionals. I’m here for it. All the best with your new platform! X
Dan has come a long way over the years and this sounds like a natural progression for him. Love listening to Dan as he talks a lot of sense regarding Villa, wish him well going forward and I am sure he will continue to get love and support from all us Villa fans. UTV

Think this is a great idea. You look at the so called classic "top 6" and they all have a lot of media focused content covering all aspects of their club. As Villa evolve into that conversation on the pitch, we need to join those clubs in that kind of content. So I fully support this Dan and hope it works out for you.

The first ever villa podcast made me fall in love with the villa view I still always tune in to this channel even if claret and blue or Neil post first because it’s the original fan channel. Loved Tom Julian n Dan Bardell podcasts, funny how confident Dan is now when previously he said “don’t really know, what I’m doing” “you know nothing Jon snow” “I cannot believe gabby agbonlahor is younger than me” “yeah we may well have lost listeners early doors again with a long winded intro go shoot”. Keep going Dan I think your fantastic!!!

Its a crowded marketplace, but there is clear differentiation between articulate and broadsheet level analysis vs “That was brilliant” “we’re all buzzing!” 1874, MOMS and Holy Trinity are all broadcast quality. Back you all the way Dan.
Glad the channel has been rebranded as a media outlet rather than a fan channel as it was clearly not a fan channel anymore and no disrespect but I felt that the villa view had long not been a fan channel and therefore not the voice of the voice faithful. I think when you stepped away pre covid to focus on media it was the perfect time to say goodbye and in my opinion bringing it back as a fan channel when it looked more just to be there as a stepping stone - 100% the right thing to do in rebranding. My personal gripe is with the villa view early days, i did a lot of work growing your channel space and also made the trip to Villa park from London to see you guys but when trying to introduce myself you had no time for me. That is not worlds tiniest violin moment but literally introducing myself for you all to literally walk away when your mates came along. Likewise, getting me on the shows, never materialised. For me, and despite the great content, members of the Villa view past really showed me how it was all about self promoting! Keep up the good work Dan

Your content is more media based as opposed to being actual fan focused material so it's probably the right call to rebrand it now as the football club heads into a new era! I think most people will accept that Dan pioneered Villa fan channels - from interviewing fans outside VP after being battered by Brentford on a rainy mid week game in the Championship, to working on Sky and other well established media outlets - hats off and fair play.
I always remember Dan saying with tom back in the day that all the villa pods were like a family helping each other to grow.i dont think anybody would be anything but proud of one of our own Dan.would love to hear the holte end sing Dan Bardell he s one of our own..
