Man....i wish i wouldve caught you in way earlier.... I wouldve told you...go ahead and grab forged pistons and rods and be done with it so you wouldnt ever have to yank it out again. The reason....because 500, 600, 700 horsepower will get boring very quickly and you will want more and because you went ahead and handled that up front....you would then be able to strap on a turbo, ysi or f1x and just go to town. Been there done that. Wasted so much money not knowing what i just told you. Nice ride btw.
The duration plays a bigger part than lift does in making power in other words if duration was the same one cam has 540 lift and the other 600 lift may give you 3 horsepower more now a cam with 218 duration vs one with 240 duration will make a bigger difference in the upper above 5000rpm but make less torque idle to 4000rpm
Generally a cam with 240 and up duration should allow you to rev the motor to 7200rpm+ but at the cost of loosing low end torque 4000rpm and below you'll be needing a 4200-5000rpm stall converter if running this duration cam with a automatic trans that has been properly tuned to make it work otherwise it will have bad throttle response below 3500rpm and be sluggish below 3500rpm with a stock torque converter the components have to match perfect your stall converter and camshaft selection weight of vehicle and rear end gearing is also in the mix
What all parts did you purchase for your setup
That was a sweet sounding idle young man!
The hell yeah brother package 😂😂
The hell yea brother special 🕺🏿
What kind of oil do you run in this ?
Was that clip in the beginning 1:16 the lifters failing? Mine is starting to make that exact noise not as loud but definitely the same noise.
Most definitely the lifters the reason all this happened
