They all seem very playable and in fact Artur Cimirro recorded the complete set, and its gonna be distrubuted soon by Acte Prealable(sorry I can't spell this name :P) From what I could see the hardest mereaux etudes are just about the same level as Liszt Grande Etudes(Grande etudes, not Transcedental ones, in case you didn't already know, grande etudes are harder).

Your control and dexterity are seriously impressive! The left hand octaves are spot on and right hand finger independence is excellent. In terms of the music itself I think the last 30-40 seconds are my favourite in the piece. Thanks for sharing (and I hope you remember my Meumann request at some stage).

I think this piece has something rare about it. It's difficult as hell to play and has so many emotions in it. It plays like a story, in my opinion. It starts of happy, and then descends into a mixture of feelings, like rage, sadness, and grief. Perhaps I'm over analysing it, but that's just may take. It has a short play time, unlike other pieces like Chopin's Ballades which tell a story over a much longer time and have more techniques, whereas this conveys as much emotion using the same technique all the way through.
I have very similar feelings about it. For me, this particular piece, being it the last of the huge set of 60 extremely difficult etudes, has a culminating almost solemn character

To play this piece you *REALLY* have to master octave jumps, pinky strength, and the ability to play different rhythms with each hand at the same time…
When Chopin finished Winter Wind etude, one of his friends said he would start with a slower and much much easier part at the begining. We all know how easy is the first 25 seconds in this etude. I think if Méreaux had a friend like that, he would add a much much easier part. Right?
'The problem with these pieces is that, musically, they are sub-zero. The melodic invention is… it’s not enough to say that it’s poor, it’s just not there. And it just goes on and on and on and on. He writes 60 pieces in an absolutely worthless idiom'. A quote from an interview with MAHamelin. For me, the most incredible aspect on view here, is the fact that you had the persistence to learn this piece. Give me Czerny, Op.299 any day!
And the worst part is that the right hand is not awful, but it's not easy at all, while at the same time you have to focuse in the OCTAVE LEAPS in the left hand at lighting speed, Mereaux, you were a monster.
What do u mean! The right hand just Rapes fingers 4 and 5 they are in like a constant slow trill while fingers 1, 2 and 3 are doing something else. And that while the left hand is making those CRAZY CRAZY WTF OCTAVE JUMPS

와 직접 쳐보니까 이 단순한 음율의 반복이 왜 그렇게 어렵다는 건지 확실히 알겠네요. 오른손 1번 손가락을 봉인시키는 음표들을 전부 무시하고 12, 45 손가락을 써서 쳐야 그나마 좀 할만하지, 악보가 시키는대로 엄지를 한음에 고정시킨 상태로 23, 45로 치려하면 손등이 쪼개질 것 같습니다. 그런 것과는 별개로 꾸준히 연습한다면 공부가 많이 될 것 같은 악보네요. 좋은 연주 감사합니다.

From what I could see the hardest mereaux etudes are just about the same level as Liszt Grande Etudes(Grande etudes, not Transcedental ones, in case you didn't already know, grande etudes are harder).

엄,.....전 옥타브를할때 손을 새워서 (유튜브에 올릴게요)해요 안눕히거 세워서 하는데 쫙 벌리면 도~레(9도)다아요 왼손은 최대가 옥타브인거~~
빠르게 칠려고 건반을 제대로 누르지 않는 모습은 종종 보여요 인터넷에 돌아다니는 영상에 비해서 이번곡은 음을 또박또박 안치고 넘기니 원본이랑 음질 차이는 크긴 하네요 뭐 엄청 어려운곡이라 템포맞추면서 또박또박 치는게 불가능해보이긴 하지만
정말 믿겨지지 않는 연주네요.....ㄷㄷ 이 곡하고 24번 Bravura하고 비교해보면 어떤 곡이 더 난해하시던가요??
