With riding boots, keep the shoe on the toe part on the footrest and when u want to shift up just slide it down and lift your leg up same way if u want to shift down, lift leg and put it down just by the weight it will shift down.. use ur knees and calf..

I went there on a cycle ride, amazing area and fun to ride. The buses as always ruin things with honking and rash driving.
