Hey man, just wanna let you know I started an MGS series playthrough recently and it was all thanks to you, thank you so I get to experience this great series
Just like and subbed, bro. I'm a huge fan of MGS. Just recently bought a decent gaming PC with an RX 560 GPU, and have been playing the latest canon entries (Ground Zero and Phantom Pain). Peace Walker has been one of my all time favorite, despite being originally a 20 FPS game, the way the scene and animations were set made it look beautiful and the fps didn't bother at all. I've been wanting to play it on PC, but sadly there was never an official release of the HD Collection for the PC, but thanks to your recommendations, I'll play it on the PS3 emulator and I'll re-live my childhood :')
Peace Walker and Policenauts are the only Hideo games I've never finished. Thank you Ocelot for the video, im going to try all these versions and see which gonna run better on my pc!

Thanks for the tips. I'm playing through the series the first time ever, and was wondering how hard it would be to emulate peace walker, since I'm emulating mgs 4 right now and it's quite a nightmare. Hearing that next game will run comparatively easy is very relaxing
Hey man, I also tried running MGS4 on RPCS3 a few months ago and after A LOT of work I got it running but the constant loading and fps drops turned me off so I dropped it. @@junba1810 I've finished it a few months ago on a 3080ti + 5800x3d. Usually 60fps but sometimes drops to 40ish on 4K. The shadow moses part where you are escaping with the metal gear often dropped to the 20 area, but much better than the original overall.

Hey, great video man. Dunno if you'll see this or whatnot - but I need some help with the PPSSPP version of PW. I've been trying to get co-op to work for me and my buddy, but nothing seems to work. Half the time Adhoc seemingly can't work, and the few chances we do connect in a lobby together - he either gets disconnected straight away after launching said mission, or his connection fails a few seconds after getting in game. We haven't been able to figure out a way to get around this, yet I see people on RUclips all the time playing co-op on PPSSPP. If you could possibly shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

mgs3 has some bugs but it's entirely playable. only real issue is the slowdown that can happen, especially in the final motorcycle chase. i only played a little bit of mgs2 on rpcs3 but it ran fine with less graphical issues than 3. ideally it should run better since it's mostly confined spaces and corridors as opposed to mgs3's open outdoors

And if some of you are worried that the PPSSPP one won't run smoothly, no worries
Even without cheats it runs pretty good
However if you really want a smoother experience, try going in the settings and go to the Graphics settings

It won't work for most games though, it only works for games that capped at 30 fps or below
If that still doesn't work (or doesn't appear), then the cheats is the only way for now
Watch out for the bugs though, it can be quite chaotic (especially the bosses)

This game has one of the best look for snake
Where can I download the game itself?
Is Portable Ops And Portable Ops+ playable? Those are the most underrated MGS games in the Series!
yep
does anybody know if there's a way to play this with mouse and keyboard?
Can you play the coop in any of these emulators?
ppsspp and rpcs3 should work
Hey mate, i have a question for you. Is this game have multiplayer?
Yes. You can literally co-op most of the story-missions + Side-ops, with up to 4 people.
There is also a simple Versus mode, similar to MGO1-2.
I want play mgs 4 on PC 😞
where get xbox 360 rom?
Also you can play it with a mouse which makes life a LOT easier
Does co op work with emulators
i wish they remake this mgs series
So, i got a 8gb ram laptop with intel hd, can i run this thing?
Which Intel HD? There's many gen
so... where's the link for the ps3 version for rpcs?
Can't give link but try nopaystation
how do i download the game? :(
You can also play the COOP!!!! shame i don't have any friend to play it with
Why play it on pc when you can play it on a modded vita and take it anywhere with you.
Sorry, I have no experience with multiplayer on PPSSPP
It's also direct sequel to MGS3.
If peace walker was only originally made for the vita
My choose to play Psp version on android tablet
If only the online co op works on pc
for rpcs3, peace walker coop works via rpcn
Can you play mgs pw online with the rpcs3 emulator?can anyone confirm
im actually playing it with my friends rn. we played versus ops and story missions together with ZERO issues despite him being in brazil and me in the states. not a crash or disconnect, nothing. best online experience ive genuinely had. just set up RCPSN on the emulator
@@bonkgameing but using the rpcs3 emulator? Does the other person has to have the same ip of did he join you using the ps3
@@emmanuelsanchez3244 yeah, I played through RPCS3. There should be a network tab somewhere in the settings (not at home rn) and you just make an RPCSN account inside the emulator. You invite each other to missions via the in game chat invitation method (pressing square in the mission lobby) and you accept those invites by pressing square in the menu where you select missions, alt tabbing to reveal the friend menu, and accepting their invite. Shits crazy
@@emmanuelsanchez3244 oh whoops I didn’t answer the question properly. I’m not sure how or if an RPCS3 player can play with a ps3 player, maybe there’s a tutorial on how to connect your ps3 to the RPCSN network? I might report back
@@emmanuelsanchez3244 I did some searching, but couldn’t find anything that shows someone with an actual PS3 doing crossplay with someone on an emulator. You and your friend could both try to emulate it together, and play online that way? Sorry if I’m not much help
Gonna try ando Let you know if Its still working
Thanks for this info but MAN Konami sucks for refusing to re-release these games.
I can also play it on My PS3 right now.
Supposedly remasters for these games are coming. Hopefully on PC.
I don't think so... They won't start to work to remake 5 games in at least 2 years from now on... So if we want to have a full remastered collection of metal gear solid for pc (1, 2, peace walker, 3, 4), we need to wait at least 5 years... But we still got phantom pain and metal gear rising... And the first 2 are really ok, still playable
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING EMULATION CHEATS, or I'LL KNOW IT
I want to die after trying to get the rpcs3 version to work
thank you
Hehe he said pee pee
lol
I use ppsspp
too bad MGS 2 and 3 are still for the most part buggy AF with the ground being basically invisible in some aspect
mgs3 has some bugs but it's entirely playable. only real issue is the slowdown that can happen, especially in the final motorcycle chase. i only played a little bit of mgs2 on rpcs3 but it ran fine with less graphical issues than 3. ideally it should run better since it's mostly confined spaces and corridors as opposed to mgs3's open outdoors
its a direct sequel to MGS3 not 5
bad guide dosent provide link where i can download peace walker
Because the video will get taken down if he does. Just use google.
Ha! he said PP. LMAO
