Thanks Ron for sharing this wonderful historic moment with all of us. . .however I don't recall the ride spinning so fast when we were kids and jumping on and off while it was moving or chasing one another running thru it 😅 those were the days and now today Seaside can start having new days filled with memories. We used to have so much fun jumping on and off that ride 😁 so I'm guessing you didn't get too full rides for a buck anymore . history in the making. a happy day indeed. it does look fast. dr floyd moreland cut the ribbon. he ran the carousel from 1962 through the late 80s.

do brass rings, but a few are on display when the carousel was removed in 2019. found under the ride. it was great to ride again.
