What a beautiful, beautiful woman. Her heart still one of love. Her testimony is more than powerful - it is a lesson of how so very special the Jewish heart is. Not to be mocked. God is watching.
Her statement about not hating, not wanting to hate, describing herself as carrying pain, instead, brought me to tears. A woman who has every reason in the world to hate, but refuses to let that imbue her soul because of its association with evil and the evil done in its name. Out of everything she says, that was the most powerful. What a lesson.
She's stronger than I am. If a spoiled, rich bully boy psychopath tried to kill my parents and made me clean up after his murderous dogs, here's what I would do. And then I would show up to that motherf@#$er's execution and do everything I could to force feed those feces to that wretch before he swung. Sorry not sorry.

Helena's testimony is a story of survival against evil, which is very different to many other stories of survival during the Nazi occupation of Poland. Helena Jonas Rosenzweig was an eye witness. As she said, her experience was one where she was completely alone, she had to endure the daily sadism and mental abuse of an evil man, without any support from family or friends. I admire how she helped others at the constant risk of capture. How she stole important documents. I also liked the way she portrayed Oskar Schindler as being a "decent man" and not as a deity. A human being who was prepared to support the weak and vulnerable. There are an uncountable number of testimonies to the barbarity by some during the Second World War. However, this story stands out to me as a reliable eye witness to a sadistic Concentration Camp Commander.

There was a time when I could not watch that movie. I finally watched the whole film and I cried my eyes out. Thank you for sharing, Helena, thank you so much.
according to Wikipedia she passed away December 2018, nearly a year ago, aged 93. What an inspirational life and outlook on it, despite what she has been through!
When you fear everyone-- not knowing who your enemy is for the rest of your life-- it takes tremendous bravery to come forward to talk about this atrocity --- I salute the brave people who have come forward. the post traumatic stress from this experience must be unthinkable. And by the way--- to the others who have written here-- no money in the world could compensate for the pain and suffering done to the survivors and their families and friends who perished. One would have preferred to be poor, free, and their peace of mind and communities in tact, I assure you.
That's why descendants of enslaved people in the U.S. have full right to reparations, because even after slavery ended, they endured decades without civil rights, very similar to the peoples pursued by the Nazis.
I can feel her love and her pain. What a beautiful lady and what an important testimony. I believe she is finally at peace and reunited with her loved ones.
I finished watching this today......…the things that Amon Geoth did were horrible, and I feel so sorry for her and the others forced to work under him.....he is proof of what evil walks among us on earth..... but when all is said and done at the end of the day, I find some comfort in knowing that she is now in the house of the good Lord, with her parents that she missed so much, and her sisters, and old friends,.....and his hideous face and cold heart are melting in hell, right now, as I write this. Might not make me a great Christian, but I guess we're all a little flawed. P.S. Thank you, Oscar Shindler, and God Bless You.

Ive Watched a few interviews with this lovely woman and the thing that strikes me most is how passionate she is about her friends and the people that lost their lives in that terrible concentration camp. It moves me beyond description.
I also watched a lot of memories and interviews with Holocaust Survivors, but Helen's story hit me incredibly strong. This Brave Woman told it so vividly, so detailed, so emotionally that her emotions touched me so deeply that I got chills. However bad and inappropriate it may sound, with all due respect to all those who gave their lives in the extermination camps, Helen's story is better listened to than any film on this subject could convey. It made me move to pre-war Krakow, to the ghetto, to the camp, to Goeth's villa. It was incredibly vivid. And this awareness, surprise, that She was Helen Hirsch's companion in misery, whose story we learned thanks to Schindler's List. An amazing Woman. Unique. Dividend. So Good. Peace to Her Soul❤😢

RIP Helen and thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m imagining you reunited with all the loved ones you lost and still watching over your beautiful family.
The woman doing the interview is just awful. Not only does she ask bad questions at inappropriate times, her nose has been whistling throughout the 4 hour long interview. Helena you are such a beautiful person inside and out. Love, peace and happiness to you and your family always...
I'm Jewish and I know everything about what happened I had a relative in Auschwitz who made it through he was a Baker Both sides of my grandparent's were born in koretz, Russia and got over to Hamburg Germany and got over to liverpool England and got on the the first voyage of the Mauritania ship. My grandmother lived in Chelsea, ma . My father would pick up my grandmother and I had many good times with both my grandparents. It's June 1st 2019 I am 62yrs old and my heart still hurts for being Jewish and my grandparent's making from koretz Russia over to Hamburg Germany and got over to liverpool England and on the first voyage of the Mauritania ship. I still had some relatives that didn't make it Jewish. Shalom Helen .
Barry Shulman Millions of people lost family members in that horrible war and during that horrible time, Jewish or non Jewish. You being 62 or 63 now means that you did not know any person who didn’t make it through WW2 and that even your parents were children during that time. Also even your grandparents made it in contrast to some of mine who died in a concentration camp. It appears to be inadequate for you to claim hurt feelings. Leave that to people who really suffered or lost loved ones.
"Hate brings evil!" Mark Helen Jonas-Rosenzweig's word's! Being German I am disgusted beyond any expression about the crimes of the Nazis. Bliss, love and compassion are the feelings I would like to be dominant in people and I will do whatever I can to make my contribution. I am confident it will happen since it is so much nicer to feel love than hatred.
I would wish Amon Goeth alive today just one day, long enough to know he had a tall, intelligent, beautiful BLACK granddaughter! I am neither Jewish, Black or any other ethnicity other than 100%, came in the 16th century to American, lady. But justice is not served by hanging evil inhuman things like Amon, they should have to spend their days in the same abject horror and suffering they perpertrated on the helpless. His Black granddaughter is 10,000 the better person her grandfather and grandmother Ruth could ever have imagined in their wildest dreams.
The pain this woman endured is unimaginable. She lost family, friends, and went through horrors unknown. She survived the holocaust, married, had children, but her husband ended his own life. He, too was a holocaust survivor, and the pain he went through finally broke him. I can't imagine her pain. She later met Amon Goeth's daughter, inside Amon's villa. This woman was comforted by Amon's Goeth's own daughter as Helena cried, remembering how Amon had abused her. Not in a million years, did this woman imagine that would ever happen...but it did! A true survivor, indeed.
A poignant story. We must review these testimonies over and over and pass them on to our children so that we never forget. Thank you Helena for your story! Rest in peace ❤
I was first introduced to Helena in the doc called Inheritance.such a strong woman.she lived a long life and refused to let resentments destroy her. She was able to create a relationship with Goeth's daughter.she didn't hold any resentment against the daughter, but she was very straight forward with her about the true nature of her father. Many Germans today disassociate from the reality of the war and holocaust.History is my favorite subject.how can we shape the future if we can't learn from the past? Never forget.Never again.
Quite possibly the strongest bravest person who ever lived so sad she carries so much pain but brave and amazing to share her story what an amazing lady I’m so happy she lived to feel the happiness of having her own family and freedom ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

She is so dear. Good, decent human beings survived even the Hell on earth made by the Nazi beasts.
What a beautiful, wonderful woman. I am beyond moved...I salute you Helena Jonas Rosenzweig. And what a beautiful brave smile she had, made me weep. Rest in peace x
RIP Helen and thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m imagining you reunited with all the loved ones you lost and still watching over your beautiful family.
God Bless this lovely lady❤
May God bless you Helena Rosenzeig...
The woman doing the interview is just awful. Not only does she ask bad questions at inappropriate times, her nose has been whistling throughout the 4 hour long interview. Helena you are such a beautiful person inside and out. Love, peace and happiness to you and your family always...
Awesome woman. What a wonderful outlook on life after what she has gone through.
This is the most beautiful person I have ever heard in my life. I cant imagine what it would be like to be near her. She has such a wonderful outlook
I pray that you will find peace and comfort, God bless you and your family.

Millions of people lost family members in that horrible war and during that horrible time, Jewish or non Jewish.
I wish I can write a letter to this wonderful and brave woman. She is a treasure. God bless her.
I'm glad they survived.
Brave woman. Thank you for sharing your story
this woman is amazing!!!
Absolutely incredible woman. Such a moving testimony. So inspiring. God bless her and her beautiful family.
Brave woman!
Her life was full of horror. Omgosh, I pray she is at peace in heaven now.
She seems like a pure, loving soul, I think she is in heaven.
Hard to believe what human beings can endure, in the face of such extreme evil. What happened should never be forgotten.
Similar to how Palestinians are being treated these days.
Betty Nowill I feel that to x
wow really
He must be spinning in his grave 😂, actually he experienced 2 failed atempts to hang him
The tremendous amount of spirit it takes to survive having your humanity stripped from you is nothing short of God’s hand on their hearts.
What a breath-taking story my Lord...she was so very young. She is beautiful.
Rest in peace and loved loved your smiles. I hope you see your family and Mr Schindler.
she is a beautiful woman! good soul!
Quite possibly the strongest bravest person who ever lived so sad she carries so much pain but brave and amazing to share her story what an amazing lady I’m so happy she lived to feel the happiness of having her own family and freedom ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
