Hi there! I'm having a hard time understanding the answers for Mock questions 3 and 5. I thought the response/behavior(verb) was "asking questions" and "sharing" for each one and from this the different subject classes were the stimulus(noun- places) and toys/snacks and sibling/friend were also the stimulus(noun- things/people). Is there a better way to break down these questions? Thanks!

Hello, Thanks for asking! In Cooper, Stimulus generalization is "When an antecedent stimulus has a history of evoking a response that has been reinforced in its presence, the same type of
behavior tends to be evoked by stimuli that share similar physical properties with
the controlling antecedent stimulus." and Response generalization, " The extent to which a learner emits untrained responses that are functionally equivalent to the trained target behavior. To easy to pick answer, if you see the child behavior is exactly same, it is stimulus generalization, but if you see child's behavior changed or extended, it is respond generalization.
Asking questions to clarify confusion in history class was the first behavior, and student started to clarify for confusion in the different class would not be same question. It would be modifed or extended so it is respond generalization. (if student exactly asks "what is this?" across all the people, it is stimulus generalization) If you see new untrained responses, it is response generalization, so same as sharing in #5. Hopefully it helps.

    IF/DOES THE RESPONSE LOOKS DIFFERENT
    YES- RESPONSE GENERALIZATION
NO AND STAYS THE SAME- STIMULUS GENERALIZATION
