- Wukong and MK have a long over due talk on the precipice of war.
One week of work. Four crashes of my program.
This is meant to be a bit vague as to what occurred and when, but it was meant to take place during the Lego Monkie Kid season 4 finale. Sun Wukong is freed from the scroll and lamenting on his past after reliving it, but he isn't the only one with new traumas.

SWK dropping the glamour on his eyes to show MK that he's being serious is such a great detail
it wasn't just his eyes, it's the fact that you can see the scar of every fight on him as well. especially the crown scarring around his head. THAT is fantastic detail.

The facial expressions, the body language, the movement, Wukong dropping his glamours to emphasize his point, MK glitching and visibly breathing/freaking out, the others moving past MK and Wukong as their ink selves, AUGH I LOVE IT
Just a question, what’s glamour? I’ve seen that word being used a bunch of times. Is it like an illusion of some sort?
@@bowlboi7824 it basically is an illusion that macaque and swk use to hide their scars and, for macaque, his ears and blind eye and, for swk, his eyes (most likely since Im not sure if it IS canon that he has his red eyes)
@@bowlboi7824 Yeah it's another way fans refer to illusions (that change how a character looks). A lot of people headcanon that different characters use their powers to hide physical traits and/or scars, since we see Macaque doing that in the show already, but I think since that ability hasn't been directly addressed/named in the show, people call the illusions "glamours".

Fr it’s sent shiver down my spine when his expression change showing Mk and his real scars and eyes that he hiding for so many years now showing it to Mk is like emotional to me
After reading JTTW and seeing that part “who lives, who dies, who tells your story”. That gave me chills
But the character design detail- SWK HAVING A SCAR FROM THE MIGRAINE SPELL?!?!? I'M EATING THIS.

This is so phenomenal oh my god! The expressions? THE ART? SWK dropping his glamor? THE COLORS? The way the camera moves? SO GOOD!

This is so good. SK dropping the glamor but still being encouraging to his boy. SK's friends appering then MK's friends showing up to stare him down. Nevermind Mk during all of this. His building panick but trying to act tough for a sec because his hero believes in him.

The seriousness in wukongs face, the distress in MK its soo good. I love every bit of this omg o(≧∇≦o)
SWK is a clashing personality constantly running away from his problems and fears but endless caught in the whirlwind of his own sorrow his escape being his constant denial and here when he knows MK has to understand Gold Vision acts like SWK's own acceptance the mask falling as he shows his true self only for the shadows of the past to fall in behind him where his eyes and light cannot see casting all of it onto MK as SWK's eyes are fully taken over by Gold Vision his place in MK's history left to be just like those that linger behind him now

Oh my gosh the detail that macaque was put at the part that says "who dies". The details are absolutely stunning and I love the way you showed how much this song works with SWK and MK

This is so beautifully done I don’t think I really have the words. Wukong dropping his glamour on not just his eyes but on his Scars? Perfection.
The Placement of Macaque and the JTTW crew during “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” is spot on.
The ink versions of all their friends and allies crowding them against the cliffs edge.
MK flickering between the him he’s always known and his monkey form at the end. That brief moment of Wukong reaching for him as he falls at the end!
Also, I just genuinely ADORE the way you drew Wukong. So many people just draw him as a Guy with Monkey features but here you drew him as. Monkey with Human features. He genuinely LOOKS like a Monkey. It’s a breath of fresh air.

As someone in the middle of the book of JTTW- the reason Wukongs eyes are like that are because he spent 47 days in Lau Tzu’s braiser to try and extract the elixir of immortality pills he ate. It failed and the smoke caused his eyes to turn red
Edit- and the “halo” is a circlet that constricts on his head with a specific sutra taught to the monk Tripitaka to control him by the merciful Quan Yin

This is absolutely amazing -- can see the hard work you've done on all the details with each frame. I've watched this 5+ times already today. From Wukong dropping his glamour to the fine details of MK losing his own glamour that he didn't know he had is just PIQUE visual suspense. Thank you for bringing this out; I will never not watch this

K now serious, love the details, facial expressions, movement and every aspect, you can see wukongs marks on his forehead and hands. When you see the video you can feel the emotion, how the cycle repeats and that affecting both MK and SWK. You can see a lot of Characters MK was interact with and love the detail in the extras because not many ppl give the details to them.

edit 2 weeks later: i started watching and then i stopped and asked a few friends if they want to watch with me, i can't binge the show now bu who cares, together it's more fun. i already know like the whole s3 plot o.o and some of the plot from the other seasons too. except 2. i basically know nothing about s2.

watched through all 4 seasons, waiting for 5th (curse the animation- oh wait, it already is -.-)
Hat a lot of fun while watching it with a friend, macaque is still my favorite character and this is still one of my most favorite animatics/animations and i am still in love with the physical attack video. This video is my favorite lmk fan thingy!
also a few headcannons: Tang is queer, mk has adhd, mei maybe too, yin and jin are both autistic af in their own way, also syntax deserved more screentime and peng isan underrated character. (If me dropping my opinion on the show here bothers anyone please tell me)

Dude, you turned Abimacao into Lego, it had more impact in bringing a great representation to MK, because Wukong is necessary, as a pillar for MK, it shows how your words can change the influence on Mk, the contrast is even impactful of the environment that is also darkening the original series when MK realizes that there are answers where he does not want to realize that he has to face reality, the mistakes that Wukong made are many, so many died, and this will be a burden that he will carry during his immortality, and that's what makes the person know who those ghosts behind were, the fear of becoming or losing everything he loves like his master, makes MK panic, his power goes out of control and he falls into despair, into the darkness he fight not to let it consume you, it's so symbolic and impactful, man it's very good, make it more serious, I've already watched your videos and you have a lot of potential, I'm going to love reading and watching more and more, I love LMK.

MK being taller than Wukong because Wukong stopped growing after becoming immortal is a detail that I don't know if you did on purpose but otherwise I love.
Nah, it's just because he's, y'know, a monkey. not human. He was said to be the shortest of the pilgrims. And MK is an adult anyway, so him being a bit taller isn't weird at all.
As for Sun Wukong's height... Trust me when I say that he is certainly fully grown. He was already several centuries old by the time he obtained his first immortality.
It's of little consequence to him anyway - if he wants to be taller, he can simply invoke some cosmic magic and easily grow 100,000 feet tall. He does that a few times, in JttW.

Honestly, it's pretty rare when i with my whole heart appreciated and loved some animatics, and it's 💯 percent one of them! Song fits very well, and how Sun Wukong showed his true look to MK is really incredible detail! I wish i could to admit even more moments in this masterpiece in details, but sadly my ability to describe is not good enough, so i will say that expressions, art, colors, and composition is... Not just wonderful, i just don't have words to describe how much of depth and gold moments it contains, especially the whole animatic!
