Union Square looks pretty normal to me, no doom loop apparent. Great weather, lots of happy people strolling the sidewalks and cafes. I've been going every year with my family for well over a decade, and have never had a problem- with the exception of some homeless panhandling. Which we see in EVERY city. LA is much worse.

Thank you for showing what the city is actually like! I visited in late march this year for the first time, I stayed in downtown at the Hyatt regency, I fell in love with the city almost instantly, the downtown wasn’t empty it has pretty good foot traffic but it appears it’s gone up since I visited by a lot! I’m definitely gonna visit the city again, and honestly I’d live there.
I'm going to be real honest with everyone.I can careless about a Democrat or Republican right now the only stores that I see are closed right now in SF were the ones that been around for over 30 to 40 years! It's the sign of the times it's time for change.

All of the comments from a negative perspective are mostly from folks that have either grown up, or lived in SF for decades. SF is definitely not what it used to be. Union Square/ Financial used to be a lot more vibrant, bustling with shops, and restaraunts. A true world class tourists destination. This video shows an "okayish SF", but nothing compared to SFs former glory.

Even though bureaucracy is broken and intentionally non fixable, because paid government workers on all levels, who collect lifetime benefits, paid by taxpayers would loose their jobs, if they fixed things, and failing politicians are absolutely destroying our country. But one should not be surprised because this country and all countries were built on corruption. So, enjoy your life in SF. You can have it. Have it all. Homelessness has always been around. And fun fact about me, I was homeless at one point in my life, long long ago, and lived out of a camper, that I had to pay rent on…so..I have been there.

There are other places in San Francisco besides the Tenderloin that only consist of 3 to 4 blocks! Where every RUclipsr goes to act like that represents all of San Francisco.
Yes they go directly to the worst neighborhood the Tenderloin so their content gets alot of clicks and subscribers which is how they make money . Most of SF is fine.
