I Sould Care. The link with Bill Evans Is always under track. Wonderful archtop in the best hands ever - something it deserved. By the way, I've got the honor of knowing Julian. A great musician, and so a lively man, Indeed.
In my opinion, even the best blend of musicians would subtract something to this man, rather than adding. His musicality and taste are incredible and shine at their best in a solo performance
Absolutely.. really awesome to see him getting traction on channels like Paul Davids. Led to a lot of my friends who are typically only rock or blues enthusiasts developing a taste for Julian’s playing 🙌
Man, your guitar sounds incredible. That chimy low end is just to die for. And what an honor to have the master himself show it off to the best possible extent!
🫶 Ken is a dear friend and I am grateful that he agreed to let me use some of his design solutions. But our guitars are significantly different. The main differences are in the way the string tension is transferred (my guitars have a carbon main beam that transfers 100% of the string tension, freeing the soundboard from the task of transferring structural loads), the choice of lattice bracing on the soundboard of my guitars, and the construction of the neck (although my neck also has a carbon neck post, most of the neck is empty). Detailed descriptions on my website www.bluearchguitars.com. Come check it out!
Ken is a dear friend and one of the greatest innovators in archtop design. When I was designing my archtop prototype and was stuck in certain design elements, I looked to other manufacturers for solutions. In several areas, Ken brilliantly solved the suboptimal design of the traditional archtop. Ken was generous enough to agree when I asked him to use some of his solutions in my guitars. The most important one was the neck/body connection. However, in many areas, I differ in my understanding of guitar acoustics, so my design differs significantly. On my website (see description) I discuss in detail the design principles of my guitars.
Julian had this guitar during his spring tour in the States and recorded this video while he was in Portsmouth. And I have a workshop in Warsaw, Poland :)
It is primarily an acoustic guitar (the sound-hole is placed in the guitar side) with added pickup. This is pure acoustic, unplugged, sound of the guitar.
If it’s even possible, I think I like Julian’s acoustic playing even more than I like his electric playing!
You are the only person who could possibly began to answer your own aesthetic questions
Julian played acoustic and archtops for a long time before moving to the electric guitar . So it makes sense people would prefer it.

The tune is I Should Care. Brilliant!
Beautiful playing accentuated by a stunning sounding instrument!
i genuinely can't comprehend him. so much knowledge in every note. he's got a story for everything he comes up with, it's wonderful
Is the guitar world aware that this is the greatest guitarist of this generation like...by far?
Yeah. There are other greats, but he is magic
We are.
There is no greatest but certainly he is one of the greats

that's beautiful looking and sounding guitar right there..

Thanks for sharing.
Also for explaining the story behind this beautiful guitar.
I can't imagine the pride you must feel having Julian choose to play your guitar. It sounds wonderful.

of course JL is a master but, what kind of strings you have on this? sounds really amazing! Congrats!
Thanks! These are D’Addario EXP 12-53. I use EJ16, too.
Very nice sounding archtop. I see some Ken Parker influnces, am I right?

Superb to play along to thank you so much my friend
Your shop is in Portsmouth?
Although Julian's playing wants to make me quit, that is a beautiful guitar!

@@bluearchguitars excuse to go to Warsaw :)

Rapturous
to me this guitar somehow sounds like a nylon string and steel string at the same time. Never heard anything like it.
I can't find None of this guitars in Colombia or some vintage acoustic archtops 😢
Sigue así.Vas mejorando mucho
That's a koto!
This isn’t really an acoustic guitar, if you will notice, there’s a pickup and no sound holes.
It is primarily an acoustic guitar (the sound-hole is placed in the guitar side) with added pickup. This is pure acoustic, unplugged, sound of the guitar.
Just wonderful. To me, the guitar sounds very balanced 🎉
there is simply no way you can play the guitar with a plectrum... it limits you... so much... far easier to use fingers... as do pianists...
Yeah, as we all can see, this a perfect example that there's no way... /s
God, the stuff people say in comments sections... I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
