I like the no filler look myself. I get why they do it - less work doing makeup so I can’t blame them, especially if it takes ten less minutes getting ready, lip products sit better and it’s easier to maintain the look during a gig - but sometimes the natural lip and overdrawn version is just as lovely, pouty and soft. Manilla’s lips are so nicely balanced with the rest of the makeup, and tbh her natural shape is quite delicate and sort of feminine anyway.

It's a drag joke or even performer joke as once you hit a certain age that dictates what you get. Imagine it like teen pop stars or more specifically child stars (mostly disney) and that's what it's like. 30ish is old compared to the queens swooping in looking like 13 year olds out of drag or even in drag. So, it's a thing that is completely fine because in a weird way...it can be true.

It's fun TV, but it's a shitty and unfair competition, and whoever wins now is going to have to deal with comments like "Manila was robbed, you're not the REAL winner" from now until eternity. Manila was so upset when Latrice got eliminated yet Latrice didn’t seem bothered when she did. Goes to prove who your true friends are
I think there are so many more things to take into consideration. It's not just about friendship. I got a sense that Latrice, an old veteran in Drag didn't put so much emotion into the RuPaul game as Manilla did. Manilla is so much younger and bright-eyed, so of course she would be much more emotional. Doesn't seem very fair that you, a complete stranger, comes in and judges someone else's friendship like that. I strongly suggest that you try to see both sides before you start putting your poison out there. Good luck, and don't fuck it up.

I say this as someone who's done similar things - Manila is so kind and empathic and those are great qualities to have, but it can be taken too far when you're worried about other people instead of focusing on yourself. No one else is gonna look out for you like that, especially in a competition where it's every queen for herself.
I don't think it was a detriment to how she performed (I mean she was the ONLY queen to not be in the bottom save for her episode), I just think she could've saved the mental energy worrying about Latrice. She's allowed to be sad over her leaving, but that's not Manila's fault. Latrice or any of the other queens didn't owe that much care to each other, to the point where they felt responsible for their elimination (even if they didn't decide it).

I can't stop saying how unfair her elimination was. I hate this system. In all 4 All Stars there have been unfair eliminations and some queens have overstayed... Not mentioning anyone but you know who I'm talking about.
The producers do it this way to provoke strong emotional reactions like the one you're having now. If you're not invested in the show to this level, some people at World of Wonder are not doing their jobs right.

Manila is a crazy good looking specimen. Her features are textbook symmetrical and natural, as a boy or a girl. When she does her eye makeup she did not need to craft a shape but instead just follow her natural eyes, and she already looks perfection in drag.
