Also a good idea to use some Dielectric Grease for the ground or wire connections exposed. Rust will corrode away and you will lose ground or power. That connector is likely to get knocked loose driving over stuff. Backing into a Bush etc.

So how big of a compressor can you run. I’m not to knowledgeable in this department but i am wanting set up a tank a fair bit bigger than this to air up commercial/farm tires every now and then. I’m assuming i’d need a larger battery and would need to keep my truck running?

The compressor that I installed in this set up was a relatively small compressor. It takes a while for it to fill up the 2 gallon tank. I’m not sure how big of compressor I could have went with but I’m sure there is a much larger one than the one that I installed. Hope this answers your question, thanks for watching.

I love the video. It seems like something I’d like to try. I have two questions. One, do you need to worry about water pooling on the plate or will it drain out? And two, I’ve looked up two compressors like the one you used. One can fill faster but will cut off after 20 minutes and the other fills slower but will run for an hour or so. Which did you use ? Sorry if i missed it somewhere if you mentioned it. Thanks again for the tutorial.

    • @funbro1

The water drained out pretty well, I've never had an issue with it getting wet. For this application I went with the continuous duty OBA system. It takes a while to fill the tank but it seems to work good.
