This is the kind of advice that a lot of people need to hear, you don't need to have thousands of dollars to invest initially to have a good future. Not everyone needs or want to have a million dollars in 40 years, for many people this example will be enough. I've been investing in voo since late 2021. Some times weekly others bi-weekly, sometimes I've put a little amount like $10 or $20, others I've put $100. So far I have invested a total of $1750 from my pocket, earned nearly $50 in dividends and my gains are at $54 (about 3%). Not a lot and below market average but VOO had a bad year on 2022 and 2023 has been below average. Still I'm planning on keep investing on it for the next 20 years so I'm sure it will get better.
I'm investing $20 every week in SCHD, SCHG, VOO. I invest $10 every week in Apple, Microsoft, google A and BRK B. I learned from your video. Thank you Professor G!
The stock market seems to be gaining momentum right now, but I believe it's still important for investors to exercise caution. I'm relatively new to investing, so I'm eager to hear perspectives from more experienced investors.
I completely agree! I've been working with a financial advisor since 2020, and it's been a total game-changer. My investments are now generating up to $91k per month, and I barely have to lift a finger. Of course, having a decent amount of capital to start with definitely helped
That's awesome! Can you hook me up with your financial advisor's contact info? I'd love to chat with them and see if they can help me achieve similar results.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I really needed it. I looked him up on Google and explored his website; he has an impressive background in investments. I've sent him an email, and I hope to hear back from him soon!
Definitely enough I’ve been investing every week for almost 5 years now in the S&P and just the fact that I’m putting the money in and it’s able to grow an interest at all helps because now I have almost 40 K in my IRA and it keeps growing. It’s not a lot of money made off the interest as I’ve seen so far but just the fact that it’s being put away and I can’t touch it until I am 60 helps because I’m not very good with money and I’m likely to spend it
My 3 fund portfolio include SPLG, SCHG & SCHD. I've also invest in INCO (14.47% over the last 10yrs) - India is the fastest growing economy in the G20, and DXJ 12.94% over the last 10yrs. Some brokerages let you buy fractional shares. If not, then you’d still put $10 per week in to the money market account at the brokerage and then buy the full share after a couple weeks when you have enough $ in there

VOO is nearly $600 a share. How do you invest in VOO with only $10? Also, if this is fractional share buying, do you pay more fees each time you trade buy so in the end paying more in fees for frequent fractional share buying than if you just bought whole shares at one time?
