This unknown pressing horror threatens you throughout the whole story. The vulnerability, and the knowing about the stalking only after it happened are undoubtedly good moves, but it all just falls apart when they gave the monster the ability to talk and look like people.
I think it would be way creepy to have wild bloodthirsty abnormal creature that doesn't like to be shot on camera chasing and watching you, and you would never know the true purpose of its actions, so you do not understand what exactly it wants.

The one that mentions their chickens being dead actually happened to me. All 4 dozen of my older hens and chicks were all dead when I went out to the shed one morning. No blood, no broken bones, nothing I could determine as the cause. When I slammed the shed door in anger, a mink ran out from a hole I had never seen before, below the floor. I never got any more chickens, it broke my heart to lose all those babies.

Little kids say some freaky shit.. Kids are often one of the most effective characters in the horror genre, in my opinion. Something about their inherent innocence being 'corrupted' by something 'dark' is truly unsettling.. 🤔

I love these long legs monster stories, there was a video I seen other week, and it made me think of this monster 👾 the way it was crawling, and walking around the building, it looked exactly like this being described, and looks right at the camera 🎥 in one piece of footage. The daddy long legs spider story, that’s what they do. They always stay together. It’s not at all an unusual thing. I know a place where I can put my hand right through a giant pile of them, my whole arm tingling covered with them. They’re completely harmless btw.
Seriously... They used to crowd around at my parent's old house. I remember at the age of 5 waiting on my dad to unlock the car and while he was getting that done, I looked down and saw hundreds of those things crawling up my legs. Needless to say, I still have a bit of a spider phobia.
