Marco Rubio hmm he’s lucky. I don’t know why but I’ve always taken an interest in Preetz rifles. And of course survival rifles are cool in them selves.
Man that's crazy, you have an ancient road with relics from all ages. If only you could peel back the years and see all wars and people traveling on the road. Cool
The pice at 14:37 looks like thing you could hold rope to ground, for a example a tent so wind would have less effect on it. Modern day ones look similar in shape but are generally hollow in way or other.
Looked on wiki for the second gun this is what I found: The Preetz Model 65 is a blowback action, semi-automatic .22LR caliber survival rifle made in several models by Josef G. Landmann of Holstein or Preetz, West Germany, also listed as J.G.L. or JGL 65, 68 and 69 in some references.[1] It was intended as a rival to the Armalite AR-7. A .22 Magnum version identified by a tubular extension to the receiver was also made. An article on Guns.com has suggested that the Model 65 is actually a clone of the AR-7.[2] This claim is supported by allegations on some firearms forums that with a little work, many of the internal parts are interchangeable between the two. Hope this helped! :)
I would love to spend a week with you in those woods, your finds always amaze me as you find such a varied assortment of really good stuff. well done Dan- keep it up. MAC
just found my first french Louis XVI coin from 1782 today in a Belgium field! oh and a musket ball! just started detecting 4 weeks ago....Dan told me to get out to get in...so i did! thx Dan!
Gun 1: Uuuhhhhh I don't know... Gun2: looks like a 22 simi auto pistol. no automatic. I know the news tells everyone they are the same but they aren't.
That nomenclature has always been confusing. Especially when you know very little about firearms. That pistol looked like it was in fairly good condition considering. The guts are probably a reddish powder by now.
1st gun : part off a gun called the B.A.R assault rifle 2nd gun: is called a waltzer German pistol ( not automatic) and it has an attachment called long barrel
I love watching Dan turn into a little kid when he finds guns and stuff. I don't love the safety violations, but... y'know... it was probably rusted solid anyway.
2nd gun is a JGL. Preetz Model 65 survival rifle. The bit that looks like plastic (the receiver) is made of a zinc-aluminum alloy called "zamac" They made around 35,000 of them between 1965 and 1975. Mechanically, they're basically ripoffs of the Armalite AR-7, but still, tis a nice find in the woods.
Dan,The "pipe bowl cover" is really a toilet seat for elves. :P2 of the curved metal items you found are likely halves of horse shoes, one other item could have been a heavily encrusted padlock. The knife could possibly be a Seax (sp?) A early day style of sword, but I really can't tell from the video. It could stand a good cleaning with electrolysis to be certain. OTT, it could be a Bowie type knife. Then I must ask- Are musket balls a soldiers social disease? Keep up the videos.
Dan, Love your videos, your gun was a .22 LR survival rifle made by Josef G. Landman in West Germany from 1965-1975 it was a takeoff or a clone as a rival to the US made Armalite AR-7. in .22LR and .22 Magnum. the frame was made of a Zinc-Aluminum Alloy. it was ban in some places because it could be modified to shot full auto
That receiver and barrel was used in many replicas. It was kind of like the 10-22 of old times. If its for sale im interested. Im looking for a new project.
I so enjoy your excitement when you discover a bang bang bangy bang and a stab stab stabby stab stab thing....cool rings though....you have reclaimed so many wonderful things!
The heart shape we know today was an ancient Roman fertility symbol, often used to ensure pregnancy and such. So it very well may be a heart if it is that old. I personally think it looks like an old Signet ring, so it may be from the Medieval era to the very early modern era. Keep up the great work! As to the first gun, to me it looks like a quick change barrel from a machinegun (Which would make it at least from the late 1800's) to the current era. Ian from the Forgotten Weapons Channel here on youtube specializes in unusual and antique weapons, he may very well be able to recognize it. Second is a Preetz 65, a civilian weapon you can still get today.
The guns. I dont know i just don't know I really don't know! But all the other shit you found is fookin fantastic!.Looking forward to the new vids pal. No doubt the will be terrific laddie Cmon carry on
5:54 it's not a dogtag it looks like an epaulette of some sort. My idea could be backed up by the fact you also found musket balls with it. Pretty cool though! The gun at the end is a Preetz Mod.65 and it looks like the magazine is still in so you should probably be careful if there's any ammunition still left inside which might be volatile.
I think the second gun is a .22LR cal Preetz Model 65 Survival Rifle. It's semi-automatic, but it was easily convertable to automatic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preetz_Model_65
By the way, the ring you found looks like a sealing ring, which is why the R is backwards. I'm no expert at all but from the markings it looks like it would be Roman army related. Each of those symbols probably means something, along with the M R.
the 2nd looks like a Thompson Sub machine gun or a Greaser gun and the 1st one looks like a Gewer 43 or a Kar98k maybe a STG 44 or a PTRD i have no clue on the first one
06:35 Copper jacket of a Spitzer projectile. They've been around since 1898. Using calipers would give you a good indication of the rifle that fired it. Looks about right for a 7.92 x 57mm which was used by that K98 you found. The jacket is opened up as is per normal when a bullet passes through flesh. The lead core sometimes separates. Not much discolouration so most likely a recent hunting round.
Thi small bowl at the beginning of your vid looks like a small Roman libation bowl for offering wine or oil to the Gods..probably a personal one which was carried around by the owner...nice find mate.
I think Tim Johnson... nailed the gun model. (22 Nazi gun??? ) Note to DIGGER DAN ... I get just as silly... when I find old Harley Davidson motorcycle parts......keep digging Dan
It is a JGL Automat 65/68/69 .22 survival rifle. Made between 1965 to 1975.
+Tim Johnson preetz model 65
+freddie dixon Yes. same thing
One handed increased to 76.
18:20 The gun is a Preetz Model 65 semi-automatic survival rifle, chambered in .22LR. That's why it's so small. It's post-WWII era, though. :/
Marco Rubio hmm he’s lucky. I don’t know why but I’ve always taken an interest in Preetz rifles. And of course survival rifles are cool in them selves.
That buckle on 4:46 is from a small leprechaun. Come on get in!!!
yesh my friend paddy, he got one just like!
if u dnt know im Irish 😉
That ring really was excellent!
that silver buckle was amazing!
second gun was nice, .22 auto...nice!
great video Dan.
I thought all 22. was semi to shot everytime you press trigger
there all different.
+Austin Mosier no they are either semi or single shot my friend has a one shot I have a semi auto with a banana clip that holds 32 bullets
+Austin Mosier auto as in automatic loading
I recently found your channel and these videos are really cool! It's crazy how much history is under our feet and we don't even notice it.
Man that's crazy, you have an ancient road with relics from all ages. If only you could peel back the years and see all wars and people traveling on the road. Cool
I googled the second gun and to my surprise ,there's your gun and the words bang bang bang.
The pice at 14:37 looks like thing you could hold rope to ground, for a example a tent so wind would have less effect on it. Modern day ones look similar in shape but are generally hollow in way or other.

Awesome finds Dan!
GL and HH and "Come on GET IN!"
Van Jr.
is a very rare josef landmann 22cal.semi-automatic. The model is JLG 65/68. This gun was built in the early 1960s in west Germany.
its missing its stock and its fore-grip though
this was the second gun not the first I have no idea what the second gun is.

that .22 is an Automat 65. .22 survival rifle made in west germany in the 60s
just found my first french Louis XVI coin from 1782 today in a Belgium field! oh and a musket ball! just started detecting 4 weeks ago....Dan told me to get out to get in...so i did! thx Dan!
Dan is the man! Happy holiday's my friend.
Walther* and they didn't have long barrels, The only pistol with that was the artillery Luger
1. B.A.R was a lightmachine gun. Not an assault rifle.
2. The second gun is a Landmann 22. preetz from the 60's
The first gun might be the upper receiver of a stationary machine gun possibly on a tank or other vehicle in WW1 or WW2...
What a great day! Congrats Dan! For being the 60's on that gun it sure was deep! I love that knife!!! ;)
WHATS INSIDE THE BOX ROMAN?
Roman Atwood love it 😂👍
dafuq u asking that here for?
The first one looks like a german K98 and the second is a Preetz Model 65 (post ww2).
that bullet looked like a misfire. if you ever find the casing still attached to the tip and split like that it's a misfire 9 times out of 10.
Great video DDD!! Still have a thing for buckles, and stuff! Very nice indeed!
You maybe one coin short of a treasure trove, but your videos always make me smile.
Keep it up Dan lol
at 6:50 the bullet is the copper jacket of a modern bullet, the lead core came out on impact
I think the belt buckle dates right around 1912
Yes I do
Dan,The "pipe bowl cover" is really a toilet seat for elves. :P2 of the curved metal items you found are likely halves of horse shoes, one other item could have been a heavily encrusted padlock. L E Burnham technically a Seax is not a sword. That is if we are talking about a Viking Seax.
Hi Dan, Stunning Roman?? ring!!!! nice heart shaped ring...cool silver buckle.....woow...cool blue gun.....great video, cheers,G :)
Wow, Deepdiggerdan. That's stinkin awesome, that ring. Even if it is medieval it's old!
Do you know what was on this site your detecting? It would be interesting to know.
Dan, Love your videos, your gun was a .22 LR survival rifle made by Josef G. Technically the first "gun" was just a barrel and a chamber
That's a C96 Mauser Broomhandle. Everything seems to still be there except for the grip.
That receiver and barrel was used in many replicas. It was kind of like the 10-22 of old times. If its for sale im interested. Im looking for a new project.
the first gun you found is the barreled action of a german K98K mauser bolt action rifle. awesome!! finds!!
Dan, I think you are a total legend mate.
"What did I find? I don't know.' Just like me. That's exactly the way I am. That is your appeal. Your just like the rest of us
Welcome to Deep Digger Dan's Rehashorama!!!!
The knife looks like a medieval kitchen knife.
Man, you make some great finds! Love it all!
I so enjoy your excitement when you discover a bang bang bangy bang and a stab stab stabby stab stab thing....cool rings though....you have reclaimed so many wonderful things!
That dog tag thing is probably a minecart tag which was used for people to see how much coal people have mined
The heart shape we know today was an ancient Roman fertility symbol, often used to ensure pregnancy and such. So it very well may be a heart if it is that old. I personally think it looks like an old Signet ring, so it may be from the Medieval era to the very early modern era. Keep up the great work!

Ian from the Forgotten Weapons Channel here on youtube specializes in unusual and antique weapons, he may very well be able to recognize it. Second is a Preetz 65, a civilian weapon you can still get today.
actually no, the second weapon is a .22 Survival Rifle from about 1960s.
More precisely, the JGL Automat
The Preetz 65 is a .22 survival rifle from the 1960's.
Wow sweet digs there Dan......like your folding shovel.....loved mine till it broke 4 years later..
The first one is the barrel of a machine gun and the second one is a MP40
The guns. I dont know i just don't know I really don't know! But all the other shit you found is fookin fantastic!.Looking forward to the new vids pal. No doubt the will be terrific laddie
Cmon carry on
I think the first gun is a Kar98k, the second is a Preez Model 65
Dan the first gun you found was a Kar98k german WWI and WWII rifle.
The gun in the 18th min looks like a piece of a 22 cal. Survival rifle
by the looks of the rifle barrel, the bayonet lug looks like its off a mauser K98
Love that silver spoon Dan. That is still on my bucket list. Congrats on those old rings, I hope they are Roman. GL&HH
So lucky Dan so much history right there
Great dig. Love the knife. Keep on diggin.
Greg
that first gun u found is a barrel from a mosin nagant
One of the things with a shotgun shell looks like a railroad spike
Great finds. The knife is probably Leonidas stabby stab stab sword. It must have shrinked a little, due to its rust and age, you know... ;-)
The ring is a seal ring which is why the "MR" is in reverse.
13:47 is a broken ww2 k98 rifle (german)
God bless! You do make me laugh so much!! Thank you for your videos :)
The second gun is a pretzel modal 65 made between 1965-1975
Preetz* dam auto correct
And it's a carbine made to rival the ar-7 this one by the looks of it is the .22 magnum variant witch is harder to find than the .22 LR variant
the first piece was a pin with an anchor
Just like too say well done Dan for sticking up for the dead and there families Dan well done lad.

Best intro on youtube.
the first gun seems to be a kar 98 k barrel with the reciver rusted off
I think the second gun is a .22LR cal Preetz Model 65 Survival Rifle.
And i think the symbols are related to Roman Gods.
the 2nd looks like a Thompson Sub machine gun or a Greaser gun and the 1st one looks like a Gewer 43 or a Kar98k maybe a STG 44 or a PTRD i have no clue on the first one
the thing u said was a lump looks like a roman belt buckle
06:35 Copper jacket of a Spitzer projectile. They've been around since 1898. Using calipers would give you a good indication of the rifle that fired it. Looks about right for a 7.92 x 57mm which was used by that K98 you found.

Not much discolouration so most likely a recent hunting round.
+Deep Digger Dan - Err, yeah. Okay. You honestly didn't need to reply.
I gave you information you can ignore or not.
Were are you Dan on the guns dig.
Thi small bowl at the beginning of your vid looks like a small Roman libation bowl for offering wine or oil to the Gods..probably a personal one which was carried around by the owner...nice find mate.
A later model version of the so called Greaser I forgot to add!
Dan, any suggestion on a reasonable price metal detector that does not require a second mortgage. First timer. I am.Thanks
The knife is a 16th-17th century one.
The big barrel gun you found looks like a russian SKS/Dragunov pipe
The gun looks like a flamethrower
Very good haul Dan. I haven't heard you mention it but, do you ever use electrolysis to clean the metal?
The gun that you found was a jgl automat 65 you should look it up its amazing... nice find :D
The rifle is a Mauser Karabiner 98K, maybe german.
that first one is definitely an smg, thompson or mp40, can't tell.
***** Then what is it Dan? Because every comment you just say "nope", without giving a reason or what it really is.
First one is a rifle barrel and the second one is a "Landmann 22. preetz"
First one you could use it as a ashtray
Awesome finds great job!
The first was a barrel and front receiver ring from a k98 and the second is post war .22
who else can imagine Dan with a gaming channel XD
Looks like you found a mauser! Or a decent uzi. You could even restore that one.
The first gun is an Mauser K98
The 22 reminds Me of A servival 22 My Day had the Barel unskrowed and it all stored inside the plastik stoke Vary Nice !
can't believe he was waving the gun at his friend, with his finger on the trigger.
***** oh shit
First gun is a barrel of a German K98 rifle, and the second one is a .22 JGL Automat 65 used by Germans as a survival rifle. (prntscr.com/9dp1xo)
I think Tim Johnson... nailed the gun model. (22 Nazi gun??? )
Note to DIGGER DAN ... I get just as silly... when I find old Harley Davidson motorcycle parts......keep digging Dan
17:53 that is a PO8 Luger
no way.
no its a JGL Automat 65 its a .22lr gun
That bullet looked like a malfunction and the powder exploded and didn't fly
+shane ridge maybe it's the copper jacket off of a boat tail hunting bullet?
