Hi I tried to purchase and the site keeps declining my card, wondering if you are experiencing issues? My card is good should not decline 😉 thank you!
@@amandah4816 hi Amanda, I’m not sure why this is. Could it be an email address maybe that’s not going through? Feel free to send me an email lifewellcruised@gmail.com. Usually it’s ok but it is possible that there was an issue with the site service as you tried to make your order. Thanks :)
you could keep tolietries and perfume etc in the fridge.
when you buy a set of sheets, usually they come package in a vinyl zipper bag. Save those! they are great packing cubes! you can easily see what's in them and once on the trip...put the wet stuff in them or use them to keep the sand out!
Smart travel hack!
Great tip I always save those I always use those to pack for plane trips… I’ll definitely do that for my first cruise coming up in April 2024
Yes, I did that travel hack the sheet package clear plastic for my husband clothes it saves from the rain because we use duffel bags. But the pillows we bring got wet. That's the first we used duffel bags and never used it again.
A great tip for thr safe. Is to use a gallon zip lock bag in the safe. Put all your things in the zip lock bags so you don’t have to worry about leaving anything.
Brilliant tip!! Thanks for sharing
Just back from 24 day cruise. Pop up laundry hamper and 80lb swivel magnet hooks were the stars✨ of the trip. Hamper tamed the pile of laundry. Magnets on the ceiling near the verandah doors, strung with thinner paracord, made a very robust clothesline for hand washed items! Everything dried so fast! I chose “swivel” magnets rather than “fixed” for more flexibility, wall or ceiling, but either would have worked well. Also took a dozen clothespins - so helpful!
Great ideas!! Thanks for sharing
Did you get the hoofs from Amazon?
Glenda can you link to where you got your swivel magnets o
I always thought packing cubes were a joke until I finally used them.......they are the best thing ever for closet organization on a cruise. Now I have two sets! Also the magnetic hooks, such a wonderful help......thank you
I’ve been binge watching your videos as this will be our first cruise since the pandemic. I feel like I forgot about everything, esp. packing wise!
Thanks for the magnet hooks idea! I’m definitely going to look for those.
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Greetings from the west coast
I always take at least one wet bag left over from when my daughter was a baby. They are great for wet clothes or swimsuits on excursions and then for packing on the way home for wet things.
We used many of your tips on our cruise last week on Mariner..my husband was blown away with the metal hooks, the packing cubes, mesh laundry basket. We also had the power strip and one thing we especially used in our interior cabin was the motion sensor light for those nitetime bathroom trips. One thing we brought with us were washer sheets to do hand laundry..because I over packed some items and underpacked others! Thank you for all the tips!!!
Great to hear! I should add small laundry packets to the list 👏
Ilana I love that you always show us items that will be super useful, but your videos don’t feel like an ad for items that *could* help but are sort of a waste of money. First time cruiser here and I always feel enticed to buy it all, but have to remind myself of what I do and don’t need! Love your videos!
Thanks so much! Truly everyone’s needs are different so I hope that comes across. You don’t need it all, but some things are so handy 😂
Thanks for showing how valuable real estate is in a typical cabin and how your little tricks help keep your sanity!
Thanks Jane!!
Just went on our first cruise on the Carnival Elation. Had a fantastic time. I used some of your tips from different videos. Post it notes for notes to myself and the cabin steward. I used a night light, because I use the bathroom every two hours at night. A USB hub. Towel clips for holding our swimming suits and undies out to dry on our chairs on the balcony etc. But one tip we couldn't use were the magnetic hooks or clips. The only surface in our cabin that was metal was the ceilling!
And I thought we had no storage in our cabin in March! You did a wonderful job optimizing your space:)
Right? Lol this cabin had the most challenging storage space
We always bring an Over the door shoe rack, and put it over the bathroom door - inside the bathroom if we want extra space for toiletries, or outside the bathroom for things like sunscreen, lotion, etc. It takes up virtually no suitcase space, and really comes in handy.
It was great to see some of your tips in real life! Thanks for sharing your cabin organization.
Love the magnet idea…can’t wait to get sailing!
I have to tell you I LOVE watching your videos and it makes me so excited for my 1st cruise 🛳 🤗 ☺️
Thank you so much. I went in my first cruise but I watched your videos prior and it helped so much.
I was just on Symphony of the Seas. I was amazed at all of our storage space!
(Woo-hoo! I'm the first to comment!) I love all your cabin organization videos. We used almost all your organization tips on our Frst Cruise Ever (🎉🎉) this past March. We are certain those tips helped make our made our experience a fantastic one. Thank you!! Keep 'em commin'! 👏👏🙂❤️

I’m so glad the videos are helpful as you plan! Thanks for watching:)
Your videos have been so helpful as we get ready to set sail this summer. Thanks for all you do!
I’m so glad to hear! Thanks for taking time to comment:)
We just returned yesterday from a ten day Alaskan cruise. Your tip regarding magnetic hooks really helped with clutter!
We always take small personal flashlights with us. They work good for night light in cabin if going to the bathroom and just in case of power outage anytime. Have used these for years of travelling.😻😻
Thank you for the room tour! Hope you're enjoying your trip! 🚢💙
Thank you! We had a really good time! Just back yesterday 😭
I cannot thank you enough for all your help. We are going to Alaska on Sunday (Ruby Princess). I’ve been following you for the past few years. Learned a lot. Not as nervous as I would have been. I’ve got my nervous husband to watch quit a few. It has helped him as well. I was able to say “done” frequently. Thanks
Thank you SO for all your wonderful, helpful, informative videos! My husband and I are embarking on our first cruise in a few weeks. We will be on MSC for the Love Like You Mean It cruise and cannot wait!
Thank you so much for these tips!!! Enjoy your cruise
Thank you! Back home today 😭😫😂
Excellent hacks! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience! It's going to be my first cruise in December😃 in the Princess cruise! Thanks again!
Love this vlog. Your topics are always interesting but I love this vlog the best. If you can make more videos like this as sometimes the vlog where you just sit and chat does not grab my attention for very long. So I appreciate this kind of vlog. We will be cruising in 7 days and you reminded me of some items I have not yet packed!!! Thanks
Great to know! I appreciate the feedback and hope you have an amazing cruise!! 🛳🎉
Thanks for all the tips!
Hi Ilana. Just back from 12 days on Emerald Princess around the UK. Have found so many great ideas from your videos. Magnetic hooks by the door for masks and medallions was a game changer, along with magnetic clips for shore excursion tickets and Princess Patter - just keeps everything easily accessible and easy to read. Ultimate cruise planner was also really helpful! Future cruise deposit paid so will continue to watch as I’m sure we will pick up more hints/tips for when we decide which cruise to go on. Thank you so much again.
I’m so glad to hear that you had a great cruise and could use some of the tips & items!! Glad to have you here on the channel!!
5 days til embarking, soooooo looking fwd to using all of your wonderful tips,
Thank you! ❤️
Hope you’re having a great time!!
Going on a 25th Anniversary cruise to Alaska and I've used your planner and power watched soooooo many of your videos to prepare. Thanks so much!
Nice cruise and happy anniversary 🥂! I’m so glad the cruise planner and videos have been helpful
I love your videos and they have saved my sanity cruising with my toddler for the first time 3 weeks ago! (Now to go teach my parents for our cruise in October) 🤣.
Thank you!
Lol love it!!
Hi, Ilana! I have bought some of the items that you recommend and I used the packing cubes for my Punta Cana trip last week and I love them!! Things are organized in the drawers as well as in the suitcase. I will definitely take them to my cruise to the Mediterranean in June. I will be using there the other items and I am pretty sure that I will recommend all of them to my friends and customers for their trips. Thanks for your tips.
I’m so glad the items were useful for a resort as well. Thanks for letting me know and for your kind words :)
I just went shopping from the list I made from your suggestions. I got my luggage scale, the tote bag with the horizontal blue stripes, my non surge power bar with more to come! So excited, we're going to Alaska in september....oh and I got my snow ankle boots....yay!!!
Have an amazing cruise! You sound ready to go 👌😂
Thanks for sharing. I'm going on a cruise in Oct so this was very helpful
Very exciting!!
Just got back from nine days on Norwegian Sky to the eastern Caribbean. I loved the packing cubes, they fit right into the drawers of the closet. The metal hooks and magnets worked great. The hamper was a life saver and made it so easy to take care laundry when we got home. I used the over the door organizer also. Everything was so easy to find. We are going to Alaska in September and will keep these items handy for every cruise now. I recommended your channel to everyone I met on the ship. Thanks for all the useful advice.
Awesome! I’m so glad to hear your tips and what worked for you. Thanks so much for your kind words and for recommending my channel 😊
Great ideas for maximising precious cabin space!
Thanks Mary! So glad you enjoyed it :)
Hi Ilana, that cabin looks cozy for two, claustrophobic for three. First time cruisers will appreciate seeing your packing hints and hacks. We found out today for Bermuda cruise in 22 days, we have to pay $40 each for Travel Authorizations to get into Bermuda and in addition to our 2 day before negative test to get on the ship, we need a two day prior to setting foot in Bermuda NAAT Covid test. We're at sea two days and one day before reaching Bermuda. I sure hope Celebrity offers testing on board. I'll keep you posted. Hi from Bob and Jill in Connecticut.
Lol it’s not too bad as the bed is only out late at night. I’m curious about the Bermuda testing. I saw in a celebrity group that an itinerary had changed so Bermuda was the first port. People said it was to avoid the extra testing. Is this happening on yours?
@@LifeWellCruised Hi Ilana. No, days 3 and 4 of the 10 night cruise are still going to Charleston South Carolina first, then days 7, 8,9 are in Bermuda
It was great to see this style of room with a couch that converts to the 3rd person bed.
So glad!!
I was finishing packing yesterday morning for our cruise on Friday and realized I had the clip magnets for papers (recommended by you) were in the bag but not our hooks. Had my hubby quickly collect them from where we have them in use in our house. So this video was a timely reminder! Thanks!!
Haha have a great cruise!
Going on my first cruise in July! You have taught me everything I know🤩
I'm so excited for you! What ship will you be on?
@@LifeWellCruised The Norwegian Breakaway to Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya, and Cozumel! I had absolutely zero idea of what to expect, so I hopped on youtube and found you! Thank Goodness! I really enjoy you and your videos, I hope your cruise was/is wonderful! 💕
@@Ava-grace22 great ship!! I’m jealous 😉😂
This is me too! First cruise in December on Coral Princess from Brisbane around New Zealand and back to Brisbane - 14 days. I’m very excited and I REALLY appreciate all your tips Ilana!
@@karenfanias9760 that’s wonderful!!
I was on HOTS at the same time you were on OOTS. We each got a 6qt clear plastic storage box for our toiletries, makeup, etc and it was wonderful. All of your items were covered/safe from germs. No zipper bags hanging on the walls for sharing anymore. I could shower and get dressed and then take my bin to the desk to finish getting ready to free up the bathroom. So much easier to find things as opposed to a toiletry bag. The other thing I got was a mesh hanging shower caddy on Amazon for $10 and hung it in the shower. That little metal thing on the wall is not big enough for everyone's bottles. It was such a help. Thank you so much for the many tips that I used from the tons of videos of yours that I watched. I look forward to a video of your thoughts of your week on Oasis.
Great ideas!! I never thought of the shower caddy but that’s a really smart one
Great tips! I was on this cruise and had the same type cabin. I definitely kept my clothes is the packing cubes. So much more organized that way. Next time I will invest in some magnetic hooks.
Lol I’m glad to hear that this worked for you too
We always leave our Princess Medallions on our lanyards, hanging inside the cabin door handle. We found them to be magnetic and attach in an easy location always last seen as you exit the cabin - no more forgetting !
This is the first cruise where I’ve watched any of these helpful videos, so I’m looking forward to trying all my new little hacks. But I’ll tell you one that I’m very excited about… I am bringing two over the door shoe organizers. One for shoes, we have four ladies on this cruise together lol, and another for toiletries, and anything that could cause clutter. I also took your advice about the magnetic hooks and the packing cubes. Our cruise is in January 2024 so I’ll let you know how it goes.
We are going in one weeks time. I have purchased lots of these things looking forward to using them. Thanks
Have an amazing cruise!! 🎉
Your cover ups are gorgeous
Thank you!
Hi, on our recent cruise we used packing cubes for the first time at your suggestion and they were fantastic! We had lots of drawers on the Odyssey so we just stuck the cubes in the drawers and put shoes and some shirts in the closet. We just rolled up gently used clothes and filed them back in the cubes, put undergarments in the laundry bag included w our cubes. Repacking for disembarkation day was so so easy! When we got home we just washed everything! We tried not to overpack, but had just a few things that were extra because we got some RC t shirts from the logo shop!
That’s awesome to hear! I like the way you packed for this cruise 👌
A open hamper of dirty clothes in just too messy for me. Designated plastic bag for underwear, return outer ware to your drawer/packing cube. But I do like the foldable basket for flip flops !
Magnet clips and magnetic hooks are a great idea! I also do something that saves me so much time and space…I change all my hangers to wire hangers and lay my clothes flat. Just pick up the hangers and move directly to the closet. I was unpacked in less time than it takes for the safety video.
Smart tips
Good job! Your cabin is incredibly well organized, especially considering you have three people living in the cabin. I'm glad you mentioned that you put your luggage below the bed. Another reason to take soft side luggage. We have never cruised with our adult daughter in a ship cabin. Hmmm. Hotel rooms are enough of a challenge. LOL
I never thought about that for soft sided luggage. Good point
You can also take those hanging shelving units that hang from the closet bar. They fold flat in the suitcase. Great place for it is th red front pockets of our suitcases we hardly use.
Super idea!!
There is never enough storage for women, especially at in a cruise cabin, and we usually sell in a balcony. My husband will always give me more room, which is nice and our kids have not sailed with us so it’s all good!
I recently used some collapsible fabric bins (about 7x5x4 inch deep) for makeup and personal items in the bathroom and another on the night table for reading glasses, meds, etc.. They collapse flat. Will definitely pack again.
Great idea
We bring a hanging shelf and it really has come in handy. I also put shoes under the bed .... so I shove the suitcases under as much as possible and then with the leftover space, I line up the shoes.
Love these tips!
Will be on the oasis January 2023. Good to see how much room we’ll have for storage. Two women toiletries hair stuff. Oh my. Will be making good use of the magnets and all other organizers
Lol, the ship is great but storage is lacking 😂
Bought the hanging toiletry bag. Didn't use it yet but really looks good 🙂
Awesome!!
Hi Ilana, yes, my wife and I along with my daughter are heading out in a few weeks on HOTS, and I initially reserved one suite but after thinking about it my wife and I felt since it is the first time cruising for my daughter we decided to reserve connecting suites and give her some privacy; mainly because we thought with the three of us it might be a little too tight. My wife and I did take a trip to dollar tree and we have a collection of items you have identified, magnetic hooks, clips, hanging bags, etc.. That should make things pretty organized in both rooms. Hope you and family are having a nice time on OOTS.
That’s great!! Enjoy your cruise 🎉
Great ideals! Wish I had bought heavier magnet hooks! On my next order for my next cruise! Plus he door rack with pockets!
We have used a mesh fold up hamper for years....for cruises and/or hotel rooms.
Awesome!! Wish I had started earlier
I travel solo. I find the magnetic hooks and a highliter pen to be helpful...
Been a fan of yours for a couple of years now. Love your tips and have recommended your page to people. I'm going to try a new cruise hack I don't know if you have tried yet. Many of the ships with their drink packages, the drink package includes soda, but NOT water. In the past, we were able to bring a case of 24 water bottles as one of our luggage tags; but, many lines stopped that practice years ago. While you can drink the water on the ship from the tap, it always tastes funny to me. Buying bottled water on the ship is so expensive! We bring reusable water bottles, which I know you've mentioned. We found the problem with them is that if you are any where warm going on an excursion or out at the beach all day, the water gets warm/hot real fast. I just purchased re-usable plastic ice cubs. You can get 60 square ones for $14, but I opted for 32 cute fruit shaped ones (reminds me of being a kid playing shopping or house) for $13 because it's only two of us. These are BPA free, you wash them by hand with your regular dish soap and made with non toxic chemicals, so G-d forbid one breaks and don't realize it right away, you won't be poisoned if you drank some. Not that you want to drink it, but at least you don't have to worry if you did accidentally. They can be used for all types of drinks and don't water them down the way ice cubes do. While the mini fridges in the rooms don't have a freezer, we found that if you place items all the way towards the back, things get quite cold and since these are plastic, you don't have to worry if they're only partially frozen. I'm bringing them on my next cruise to Bermuda. I'll let you know how they worked out and how long the lasted from being stored in the mini fridge in the room. smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08X4Y6TS4
This is a great idea! Please let me know how this works for you. And thank you so much for following me for a while now - I appreciate it
@@LifeWellCruised Sorry for the delay in response. Had some stuff to take care of when we got home. Unfortunately, without a mini freezer section, they don't get cool enough to make it worthwhile, it's better to use the space for more water or get some ice from the buffet for the water bottles. However, I did find another hack. I pack used dryer sheets to help remove any dog fur on our dress clothes. No matter how carefully I check before leaving, whenever we travel and I unpack, there is always fur and lint on the dress clothes when I get there ;). I found that if I take some used dryer sheets with me, they help remove the fur and lint with just a wipe. Usually I put a couple in a zip lock bag, but this time decided to try something new. I put two used sheets in each suitcase to see what happened. Not only did it cut down on static electricity when I unpacked, the shoe odor was much less. It also helps untangle jewelry (wipe the knot with the sheet and it's easier to loosen) and makes some shoes shiny as if you just had them cleaned. All you have to do is save your dryer sheets from the laundry prior to your trip. They weigh nothing and take up no room. These were regular Bounce dryer sheets. I have not tried it with other brands.
As always some good advice on getting the most out of a small space. Not sure if this is covered in a different video, what are you using to hold your phone during filming? Looks like it is helpful. Thank you again for the time and thought that goes into your work.
Good question. This is a Bluetooth selfie tripod. They are quite convenient and under 35$
Just got back from an awesome Panama Canal cruise. The hooks are great but I would get the heavier weight ones. Mine were supposed to hold 22 pounds but when I tried to use 3 to hold up a shoe organizer it just slid down the wall so didn’t get to use the shoe organizer but they were handy for hanging hats and sunglasses and swimsuits and land yards. The wall plug was a great idea and I wished I would have brought one because I needed an extension cord and they brought me an industrial size one which took up a lot of desk space. I also asked for a blow dryer because the built in one took forever to dry my hair. We were on the island princess which is an older ship. Thanks for all the great tips.
Great to know. I know some people use the hooks on the ceiling to hold the shoe organizer, as apparently this holds the weight differently. It could be a good idea to use more heavy duty magnet hooks too :)
I would have hung my bags over the hangers on the lower rail in the wardrobe. I would be forever knocking in to the bags on the wall otherwise. I also take a zip up plastic laundry bag and put it in the wardrobe for dirty stuff. We did a cruise where the steward put the coffee table on the balcony. We don’t take toiletry bags, I use an over door hanging shoe organiser (clear plastic) and everything goes in there
Love this video. I use hooks like you do’ I have different sizes for different weights. I was disappointed on my last cruise on Queen Elizabeth ,I had bought some new rust proof coloured magnetic large hooks to hang my bathing suits up in the bathroom but none of the walls were magnetic. They were too wet to hang in the cabin. Love the flip flop hamper. I too don’t unpack some of my packing cubes and just keep them on the wardrobe shelves.
Oh no! We should compile a list of “non metal wall cabin” cruise ships 😂
Yes a good idea. The rest of the cabin was fine especially the sides . It was just the bathroom was a complete no go and the bathroom wall in the cabin would only take smaller hooks not the large ones to hang bags on. I had to hang my bags on the side walls.
Love your video very informative for new cruisers like me . What weight of magnet hooks do you recommend ?
If I can find the 30 lb plus I like those. Many people do well with 22 lb plus. The 100 pound seem too strong for most people
Use a portable shelf that attaches to closet rid and a hanging shoe rack
Nice tan, Ilana! Happy to see you have toothbrush covers, too. Was that the magnetic motion sensor nightlight on the ceiling pointed at the wc? Would love to see it in action. 😊
Lol, I don’t think we actually turned it on this cruise. Meant to, but instead left a dim light on in the washroom
Going to Alaska in 5 days. We’ve never been on one so your tips are helpful! Packing is proving to be a bit challenging 😥
Have a wonderful cruise! Don’t overstress - worst case scenario pack any extra suitcase and pay the luggage fee. Hopefully you’ll be all good without that :)
I always bring magnetic hooks for entry way and a fabric shoe rack the we hang on the outside the bathroom door for all of our shoes and yes yes yes for the toiletries bag on a magnetic hook.!
Also since we have so many phones and tablets I bought a 5 port usb charger that can use 110/220v and a European plug cable for it. This way it keeps the US plugs free for other things
Also for all the usb cables and such I also have a small pouch that also hang on a magnet
We’re going on a 50th anniversary cruise to Alaska in May 2023 on Discovery Princess . Have been watching a lot of your videos for ideas and suggestions. Thanks for the great ideas.
We will be going to Alaska on the Discovery Princess in 3 more weeks! I hope y'all have a wonderful trip!
What a fabulous cruise!! Happy anniversary 🥂
I have a hanging cosmetic bag made of mesh for the shower. Hangs right over shower head as most showers have little to no shelf space.
Someone recently recommended a European plug adapter for cruises to make use of all the outlets. I did a tour of a cabin similar to what we'll be in for an upcoming cruise, and there are two European outlets, so I bought a pair of adapters off of Amazon.
I was curious if you had ever used these. (I can share a link but don't like to spam comments-- for the record, I do not have any affiliations with anyone who manufactures or sells adapters.)
The only thing you need to be careful about is adapters' electrical limitations, so you need to compare your item's voltage to the voltage on the adapter. In other words, you likely can't, for example, use one of these adapters with a flat or curling iron.
I kept my hardshell suitcase opened under the bed, and just pulled it out each day when getting ready, then slid it back under. I put dirty clothes in a bag on one side of the suitcase. It was really convenient.
Smart
There IS more storage on the newer Oasis class ships, but I'm used to Oasis from sailing from NJ numerous times
We leave suitcase open under bed for dirty laundry and never need the hamper
I have a hanging toiletry bag. Only pull out toothbrush, toothpaste and poo-pourri. My hair is long, so I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner, although many have posted newer ships have individual shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in full size containers attached to the wall
My husband and I stay in a balcony, but stay in junior suite, or Grand suite when we take our son. We're all six feet or taller so we need the space for for our clothes.lol
Always use magnet hooks for hats, bathing suits, show and excursion schedules and invitations
Thanks for sharing. I can definitely see why you’d get a bigger cabin when sailing 3 adult size people
I saw a lot of storage space actually and unused storage space. I saw storage space that wasn’t used to it’s full capacity I love your channel so don’t come for me just saying my opinion. You have awesome ideas and wisdom just feel like even with three people you really have/had enough storage just needs to be more organized 💕
Agreed. Why would you want a bunch of stuff hanging on the walls? It looks junky and cluttered in a space that is supposed to be serene and relaxing. Especially when there is closet space?! Like the channel but this was a miss for me.
Does anyone know if the Norwegian pearl has metal walls in the rooms? I love the ideas! Thank you!! Traveling in 10 days! First time cruiser. 🎉
I used a lot of your recommended items on our cruise. The best was the hanging toiletry bag - I bought 2. 👍 The magnets were too small, not strong enough to hold much. But, thank you, great suggestions for such a tiny space.
I love that toiletry bag so much I bought the coordinating train case for cosmetics.
So glad the toiletry bag was useful for you. Too bad about the magnets. It’s definitely important for them to be strong :)
We bring clip type clothes pins, and use line in shower to hang/dry swim wear. only need about 6 or 8 clothes pins. Enjoy your tips
Great ideas!
I always love your tips and tricks. Carnival took away my scissors 😢
Oh no! I heard long ones could be an issue, but never thought of my little kid scissors 😬😂
@@LifeWellCruised it was my little bitty ones. Oh well! Next cruise is in October. Just did one in March. So thankful to be cruising again! Enjoy yours!
Very helpful, especially to actually see a cabin in use and seeing how you use your tips and tricks. We will be on a different ship but an inside cabin so probably a similar lay out. Thank you for sharing this. I’ve ordered a travel light which has a magnetic back and is sensor to go in the bathroom. Also, I had a💡 moment and realised I had just bought a pack of 2 key rings which have a press button light on so will take one each for getting up and getting to bathroom. I’ve also invested in a 10x magnifying make up mirror rechargeable with suction application to attach to mirror in cabin. Too small and humid in bathroom for my liking. It’s our first cruise and will also be my 60th while away so taking some string to use with hooks so I can take my cards away with me to open on the day. What was YOUR first cruise like? We’re you anxious about it as well as excited? I feel like I’m going to need another holiday to get over planning this cruise 😵💫😂🤣🥳🎉🇬🇧⛴🫡
That’s wonderful!! You’ve got lots of great ideas and seem super prepared. You’re going to see, once onboard you’re going to be just fine. Take time to relax as well as do all the fun things 🎉
We fly to Amsterdam today to start our 12 day Apex experience. This video, and so many others, have been such a great source of information and ideas. I'm confident our cruise will be enhanced because of this channel's help. I'm very appreciative.
Have an amazing cruise!! So glad my videos have helped in some way :)
looks like you take 1 suitcase for all your shoes & accessories !! I've cruised many times throughout the world & only take 1 suitcase. packing cubes & good quality magnets are great.
I pack pretty well and it all fits. I agree packing cubes and magnets are so useful
What cruise line was this? Also what cabin style? Thanks!!❤
Have you heard that carnival has stopped hangings others ceiling. Are they taking the magnet hooks out now.
We are away for 3 months we will miss our grandchildren so much so I have bought magnet plastic folders to put some photos in :)
Hi there, one thing I'd like to ask about embarkation day no one seems to cover is do you advise to keep your cases locked when you leave them or should I remove the little case locks? Just wondered because even though when following the cruise rules there may be an item inside the case that security are unsure about and need to open the case for a look and then I supose any locks on the case would be broken. What do you do?
Love your videos. Where n how to purchase travel insurance?
Thanks so much! It does depend on your needs and your country. There are a few good options (not insurance advice) including Allianz that a lot of people use
Under the sink I take a fabric shopping bag to fit some toiletries in.
Good idea. This cabin had very little space, but I can see that working for most bathrooms
Scissors?? MSC says they'll take all scissors away from us but I was hoping to do some embroidery and need a small pair of scissors. Will I be able to bring them??
Magnetic hooks can serve as a cure-all for so many things. I have a cruise friend who will literally bring 15 hats with him, and by the time he's done, he has a gallery wall of HATS!
Wow!! Like cabin decorations:)
@@LifeWellCruised it really is! He does it artistically! He’s a hoot
Hi, Ilana. Always a pleasure to listen to you! I lana can you tell me please if there is any place on certain ships, that people are allowed to smoke on the outside? I smoke, I know..."shame shame on me" but I am 70 years old and I really enjoy a cigarette after meals. Thank you 😇😘
Lol no judgement at all. There was a large smoking section up on the pool deck, on the port side I believe (larger than on many ships). I saw one in the adult pool area solarium as well on deck 16
@@LifeWellCruised Thank so much, Ilana!
Going on my first on HAL in November. Does anyone know if they have metallic walls? Going on the Klonigsdam. Thanks! I am SO enjoying and appreciating all your videos. I've started a Google doc with all the suggestions and sharing it with my cruise mates!
Yes, the Koningsdam has magnetic walls.
@@alexxussss9359 Thank you so much!
I’m so glad the videos and tips are helpful!! Glad you got your answer too. Thanks Dawn
Going on River Cruise this December.. Will be my first time on a river boat, Do the hooks work on those walls too?
That’s a good question. I don’t think so, but I don’t know for sure
What are the hooks you use? Link please 😘
I was on this cruise as well! How did you guys fair with the rocky last day onboard?
Omg it was bad!! Lol we definitely used our Bonine to end off the cruise. You?
