    Since it’s been bypassed by the M9 I’ve felt the place very quiet, a lot of shops bordered up

    The two semi state companies to run the post office were an post and telecom eireann, they replaced the department of posts and telegraphs from the start of 1987, having been reorganised by Jim Mitchell.
    It would seem from this hall's pictorial weekly, the plan was in the pipeline since 1979.

      While we knew the governments didn't particularly like us it never felt like they hated us, unlike todays government.
