Yes oooo, the media paints bad pictures about Africa. We have nice places in Nigeria as well.🎉 I am happy the children had so much fun and enjoyed themselves.
Oh dear.. its like Shoprite will no longer be Nabi's favourite store. I just came back to your channel after a few years of being away and I am awed as so how much the kids have grown... Nabil is now so tall and the girls are looking so gorgeous (including you too) Let me go and start preparing myself for the mental shock of going back to nigeria whenever that happens
Awwww Tola, so good to read from you. Longest time. Thank you so much for stopping by and engaging as well. Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. Nigeria is actually still a great place. No doubt, we have our challenges in Nigeria but it’s still a beautiful place. I know you used to go to Nigeria a lot back then.
I was in a gathering one day with Nigerian kids and that was one of the weekends that Nigeria was experiencing lots of rain so there was serious flooding, so i was really lamenting about the flood and the next thing one of the kid said is it is good for them, i took that statement so personal 😅. This is just to say that it is very important we give our children a wholesome experience about Nigeria . Weldone mama
I would take the statement personal too 😂. On a serious note, we need to tell and show our children the good sides of our dear country, Nigeria. Some things are bad, no doubt, but there are many great things happening in Nigeria too. Thank you for your engagement Sis. I appreciate you always ❤️.
My sister well done. This is lovely. I had the same sentiments about showing my children that Nigeria is not what the west show us as. The got there and had the most blast and for the past 3 years we now go to Nigeria once a year. They are the children are the one requesting that we go after the first year. And on how expensive things are? I was shock as well. We send what we spend on upkeep, transportation and power in 7 weeks in US in 3 weeks. Yes Nigeria is expensive.
I really love this comment. This is exactly how my children feel about Nigeria now. No doubt, we have our challenges (just like any country) but we have great things going well for us too. May God make our land better. Though, the present cost of living is extremely sad. Things need to be done. Thank you so much for stopping by and engaging ❤️. I really appreciate it. Hope to read more from you 😊.
What a wonderful experience the children are having, you made sure that the experience almost every side of Naija living, that's awesome, and it is good to see them face it bravely! I live spending time with family, it is always so much fun, they say cousins are your first best friends.. Lovely video as always! ❤🎉❤
Madam in as much as inflation has eaten deep in Nigeria but remember you went to a super market (which are for the elites) which is not where the average Nigerian go to traditionally. We go to open market where things are way cheaper if you haven't forgotten.
A place like Shoprite shouldn’t be considered as a super market for elites. It’s a market that is for convenient shopping. No doubt, one can’t compare the prices with that of local markets, however the difference shouldn’t be too high. This is what we should demand and not justify this high prices by tagging them supermarket for the elites. This store can be likened to Walmart, Sobeys, Target, ASDA in other countries. Both the poor and rich shop at these said stores. When I was in Nigeria 8 years ago, Shoprite was pretty much affordable for the average Nigerian. That is how it should be. Thank you for your comment. It’s appreciated
