Was enlisted to build one of these for my niece so I watched this video before I went over to do it, turns out this was the very model they had. A few notes for anyone about to assemble this: the bronze tubes get blazing hot in the sun- keep them in the shade or consider building the entire thing in a shaded spot if you want kids to be able to play on it during a sunny day. For anyone wondering it took two of us maybe a bit under two hours to put one together not using a power drill. I have the hands of someone who doesn't do a whole lot of manual labor and my finger tips were raw and sensitive from all of the hand tightening going on and I had to put on work gloves for the final tightening and installation of the handles.
OMG! If I hadn’t watched this video, I’d still be working on this thing and it’s now 9PM! I just finished it. I started at 4PM. It took me to 8PM to build this. Believe me, this video is a lifesaver!!! It would go a little quicker with two people but it was just me assembling this for my 11-year-old daughter. She actually helped ratchet the handholds! LOL! There was definitely a lot of pulling, squeezing, and muscling to get a lot of the pieces connected. The video makes it seem so easy but it’s not. It is doable though, but you have to have a lot of patience. Swearing helps! Oh, one thing though: there are two type of hand holds: small ones and big ones. The video makes it seem like they will be self-explanatory as you what goes where but it’s no-nor are the instructions. Where the green bars meet, neither handhold actually covers the top two rods with the notched slots in the handholds. They only cover one rod. So, I simply alternated small, large, small, large...leaving the big one for the top. Oh, they give you one extra of each type of bolt, nut, and washer. I almost needed it as pieces where flying everywhere! LOL! Definitely, definitely use a power drill with the 3/16 hex bit-it’ll save your wrist! Other than that, it all worked out-doubly so thanks to this vid! Now it’s time for a beer (or three) and a shower!!! Good luck, you kids will love it; mine already does!
I need to break my dome down because we are moving. Is there a diagram or something so I can label my rods to make it easier for me when I set it back up?
Your instruction manual is going to be your best bet. If you don't have yours anymore, you can download a PDF on our website. This link www.lifetime.com/CustomerService/AssemblyHelp will take you to our assembly manuals. Just type in the model number and if you can't find the Product ID on the dome, you can just click " I don't have the Product ID" then it will give you a button where you can download the PDF.
You can use this video to help you assemble the 60" dome. It is the same assembly. Please refer to your instructions manual to view the safety grounds.
Make sure to have 1/2 in DEEP socket instead of a regular socket for tightening handholds. Will save you time to not have to go buy at the end. I, a 35 year old female, put this together with my 11 year old son. Have the drill with bit and wrench handy! Makes it easier. Pay attention to the stickers on the bars. They look the same but are different. Order of bars matters-it’s different in the direction manual, but pick one and follow it. Don’t tighten till the end. You will be adding bars to the screws. It took us several hours, but it’s together and he loves it!
There are 15 green tubes that are 1.25" x 36". These are your FZD parts. 15 green tubes that are 1.125" x 36". These are your FZC parts. You will also have 2 different sizes for your bronze tubes. You will have 30 bronze tubes that are 1.125" x 40.8" that are your FZB and 5 bronze tube that are 1.25" x 40.8" that are your FZE.
So the video is different than the instructions(P14) for 1.1. In the video is lowerLeft, lowerRight,UL,UR,ML,MR. (which kinda looks like the zoomed out picture.) In the zoomed in picture instruction numbers its LR,UR,UL,LL,ML,MR. However the instruction picture is different, its LR,UR,LL,UL,ML,MR. So which is right?
@@LifetimeProductsAssembly It would really be helpful though to have a video for that model, especially as it seems to be the only one in stock at the moment!

We got one too. Thanks for the tips.

Just finished my dome - this video was SUPER HELPFUL! Thank you for posting!
We ordered this and are waiting for it to come in the mail :)
Good luck!
Where did his helper go??? Was she getting him a beer and never came back??
I had to get my own beer and had to put it together myself. What a day.
Very helpful. Thank you.
The instructions that came with the dome are awful. This video was a lifesaver and is very well done!
I had to stop because I didn’t have safety glasses. 🤣🤣🤣

Please, please provide a video for the 60" dome; many of us I'm sure have bought for the holidays as the 66" is sold out. Thanks!

Um...if I took all the stickers off, how can I tell the difference again?

Why do the hardware not line up perfectly?

overall though I am impressed by the manual, video and kit, very impressive. I would recommend.
man, building that was too much fun, might have to get another.......
for reference I went with the video pattern
I noticed that too!
101301 part number 60 inch one theres no video. So what am I doing wrong?
We do not have a video for our 101301 model but these videos will still do the trick to help assemble.
